FamilyRe: My Mother In-law Is Doing This , And She Is Pushing Me !!! by HitRun(m): 5:39am On Feb 14, 2022
I respect people. I expect to be respected in return. If you do not respect me, I will put you in your place, gently but firmly, irrespective of who you are - father, mother, siblings, spouse, parent in-laws, other in-laws, friends, and other associates.

While my mother in-law can stay in my house and enjoy freedom to do as she pleases, she 'no fit do pass herself for my place'. I will tell you directly! Which one is tell your wife to tell her mother; I will tell her myself! Imagine my MIL comes and knock on my door to come to the sitting room to advice me...lol. What I will tell her that day, she will never forget it in her life.

I do not see the relevance of dropping the information on money you give to your MIL in your post. I can infer you do not have the aura of being in charge of your house, and instead of facing the main issue, you are deflecting by bringing money into the equation. Oga, money without a commanding maturity is USELESS!

Finally, If our accommodation arrangement is comfortable enough, if my MIL wants to stay for 1 year, I don't mind. What is the big deal there?

Now he has a point..let me see who's sensible enough to counter and prove his Statement baseless..
The countdown starts now..
Oga, follow the news. He Has no point.

The government went to court. The court ruled that the protest was illegal because the vaccine mandates were legal. If you disagree with a particular mandate, you should approach the courts not protest. In the US several groups have gone to court to protest mandates and won. For example, there was a vaccine mandate for any organization funded by the US federal government. People went to court, and the court suspended that mandate.

Back to the bridge protest, those people continued to protest without any interference until the court ruled that the protest was illegal. It was not the Canadian prime minister that said it was illegal! A court!

As usual, in Nigeria, we just jump up and say any thing.

rentAcock:
You hustled in Nigeria and succeeded. You are on an exponential trajectory in Nigeria as it is, whatever you do, do no relocate to the U.S.

You will be miserable there. You may end up working at Mcdonald serving food or end up as a security guard or at the very best a taxi driver. Your U.S based wife may talk down on you because she feels like she brought you to the U.S and also because she will likely be the bread winner of the house. Nigerians in the U.S especially in Houston, have the highest divorce rate and domestic homicide rate than anyone else. And that's because a a majority of the U.S based Nigerian women are nurses making good money while their husbands are minimum wage earners doing menial jobs. They feel like they can talk to their husbands anyhow and one day the husband reacts and kills the woman.

IF you are into IT, you can work remotely right here in Nigeria. I know a couple friends working for Amazon Web Services from Nigeria, they get paid in dollars and they earn nothing less than $300,000 annually by working for different companies. I wish you all the best, but don't say you weren't warned.

We are Living right in Biblical times.
Times where anything could happen at anytime.

Just like in the times of old , where GOD ALMIGHTY used Unimaginable weapons to break pharaoh and Egypt down before HE took HIS People out. The trumpet is about to sound and GOD is about to take HIS Bride out! HE is testing the Mic of HIS wrath on a Stubborn, Rebellious and abominable World.

JESUS is Coming! Everyone needs to get Ready and Live Ready! It is gonna terrible down here after the Rapture.
If we are living in biblical times, can I marry 30 wives? undecided

It's Union of senior staff of the university but are not a duly registered trade Union back by the trade Union act of Nigeria. Go and confirm.
It is not a union of senior staff of universities, but academic staff. There are senior non-academic staff who have their own union.

I may no know the nitty gritty of unions and what makes them legal or not, however, I do know that ASUU isn't a professional body.

It is people like Basketmouth that's why the country cannot move forward.

So NDLEA should not arrest drug dealers. So EFCC must not arrest yahoo boys. What is wrong with the brain of the average Nigerian?

The social media space needs to be regulated.

Can anything good come out of the brain of a comedian?
Drug dealers are criminals. Drug users are victims.

Based on the quantity of drugs found in the guy's house, is he a dealer or user?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: As A Proponent Of Anti Corruption, Will You Accept This Job? by HitRun(m): 9:40pm On Dec 18, 2021
richmond500:
Imagine looking for a Job for 3years and ur rich Uncle decide to fix ur name somewhere in Abuja with salary of N250k and accommodation but u didn't meet any of the requirements for the job.

The Job needs a graduate with at least 5years experience while u are actually a secondary school drop out. Ur uncle decide to forge a certificate for u and then secured the job for u.

Will you accept it?
No, I won't.

Over the years, I have had to take such unpopular (in a typical Nigerian context) decisions; but you know what? I have never had cause to regret.

Recently I had have to return money worth 2.5million naira because I wasn't qualified to take that money, and suffered hardship afterwards. Nobody was breathing down my neck to return it. I have to put my finances where my mouth is. I have always condemned corruption; it was time to walk my talk. I am a very happy man today cos I sleep with a very clean conscience. Nothing beats that for me!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Got A New Job Offer In Niger But I Need Some Help by HitRun(m): 3:32am On Dec 15, 2021
IF YOU MUST TAKE THE OFFER:

1. You shouldn't live in Suleja and work in Minna because that road is so bad and insecurity on northern 'highways' is on the rise. And because the road is bad, there are increased chances of attack from bandits, kidnappers or robbers (not common though). There is also the obnoxious petrol tankers plying between Lambata and Dikko junction as at the last time I was on that road (Dec 2019).

2. Minna town is relatively safe, however, be advised to avoid densely populated areas to avoid petty thieves, indiscriminate noise, and smelly environment (Minna dirty sha). In this vein, I would recommend F-Layout, and London street. If you must stay in Bosso area, Bosso Estate and Okada road (across the road away from the University).

3. Light is 5hrs in the morning, 5hrs in the evening (strangely, this timetable is fairly constant). Get yourself an inverter and battery, and you will be fine.

4. Internet strength in Minna is similar to what is obtainable in most state capitals across the country.

5. Minna has an airfield. I doubt if commercial flights go there.

Bosso is overpopulated and a tad bit insecure due to those local miscreants. London street is more decent, but I think op should settle in an area close to his working environment.

FG should also stop using Lectures for jobs other than that which they are paid for

otherwise, they'll will keep taking students as hostage to collect ransom/ money from FG
