People are talking about World cup, Euro cup, CL finals you are talking about confed cup huh huh huh

WHy not challenge cup or beach soccer since its also organised by FIFAhuh Gayyners never change Lil wonder they were climaxing when they won Amsterdam and Emirate cup
Very funny
So, Confed cup is no cup.
Yet the entire Brazillian team celebrated like they have won the World Cup!
What i wanted to bring out was what's the justification of excluding the Confed cup from the list.
Must a player score in the finals of a competition to justify anything?
Henry didnt score in the 06 CL finals, yet in the run up to the finals, he scored one of the finest goals you will ever see scored at the Bernabeu.
At the 2002 world cup, Rivaldo scored some stunning goals, enroute to the final, but Ronaldo scored twice in the finals.
does it rubbish rivaldo's contribution to the team?
In the 1994 ANC, Amuneke played in the finals and scored 2 goals and Rashidi Yekini didn't score!
Does it mean that rashidi yekini was not the chief goalscorer in the team, because he failed to score in the finalshuh huh

Some logic we have here!

back to me when Henry scores in a final of a tournament. Don't mention the crappy 2001 confed cup.
Why shouldn't it be mentioned?
Was it not organised by FIFA?
Or was it Organised by 'Thierry Henry fans association'huh huh
Why should we exclude it?

A lot of folks chat gibberish on this site. Wish we could see eye to eye and thrash footie out. Lets organize a footie contest/quiz and end opats wey boys been dey yarn. Ruud is  a better striker than henry.

Henry was so useless in Juve where trezegol achieved. He had all the chances in this world to bury barcelona and man u in 2006 and 2009 respectively but goofed if not for eto'os opener.
And Ruud was so useless that he was made to sit on the bench while Louis Saha played! huh

BinghiNya:
Ruud left United and made an instant remark at madrid while it took the bojans, geovanni's to make henry wake up temporarily.
and a few years later,Ruud became so useless that Madrid wants to flog him for as low as  1.75 m pounds and at a time Spurs and B'burn were interested! huh huh

Who is  chatting gibberish grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by HNIC(m): 3:59pm On Aug 25, 2009
@DK,
he didnt get to play the final because he had an injury that he carried thru the prelims.
Trezeguet too had injury problems.
Are u saying Stefan Guivarch was better
You are puting it as if he was  some 3rd rate striker

Anyways, beef all u can
He's a world cup winner

Goals scored against South Africa were actually scored by Pierre Issa. If Henry's goals were that important why was he benched against Italy, Croatia and Brazil? I guessed Saudi and SA were more fitting matches for Henry. when the going got tough they booted him out and brought in tested players in WC 2006 he scored 2 goals against Togo imagine!!!!
Obviously, you are joking when you wrote the above.
You must be the only one that didnt know that the French had a striker crisis at the 1998 world cup.
Guivarch started in the Final against Brazil
Henry got injured was why he wasn't played in the knock out stages!

It halted your quest for a single trophy but our lost did not/will not halt our quest for EPL. Spot the diff. Last season we lost abt 4 games but by may we celebrated the 18th title. Some seasons back i could remember we lost to Sheff United and Everton @ the start of the season but went on to win the title with 10 points diff. So i won't lose sleep for the game against Burnley.
Time will tell, whether there won't be more losses like the Burnley type. That's why I said you guys brought out statistics as soon as u lost to Burnley.Don't say, u were not told.

Yeah itz MILK cup which is far more better than EMIRATE cup you guys celebrates every other yr. Mark it, the day Arsenal will win the MILK cup they will go on open roof tour of london and demand OBE from Elizabeth grin grin cuz the trophy drought has gone for a long time.
I wonder who you saw celebrating the Emirates cup year after year and why y'all behave like Arsenal has never won anything before. If we never win the Milk cup for a 100 years, I won't be bothered.Wonder how many people were disappointed when we crashed out of the Milk cup, last year.

This was culled from the net.

10 things we learned from watching football this weekend

1) Contrary to perceived wisdom, Dider Drogba and Nicolas Anelka CAN play together. Next week: the Pope IS Catholic!

2) Carlton Cole was as stunned by his wonder goal as everyone else at Upton Park. So much so, in fact, he momentarily thought he was dreaming and playing in the all-white of England. How else to explain that pass to Jermain Defoe for Spurs' equaliser? grin

3) Burnley are this year's Hull. So expect boss Owen Coyle to be delivering his half-time team-talks from the burger van at Turf Moor by Christmas.

4) William Gallas is attempting to score off every part of his body this season. Celtic should pay extra attention to marking his nipples in the return leg of their Champions League qualifier next week. grin

5) Pity poor Roberto Martinez' wife. The new Wigan boss' wedding celebrations couldn't have been much fun - his honeymoon period only lasted three days.

6) If Nani spent half as much time practicing his shooting as much as his goal celebration then we might see the latter a little more often. grin grin grin grin

7) We always knew Louis Saha was injury prone, but the colour of his Barnet yesterday suggest he's the first footballer ever to go rusty. (Or is that just his penalty technique, ?)

cool David Moyes was right to hold out for £24million for Joleon Lescott. If his Everton team do end up relegated because of the upheaval caused by the transfer saga, at least they won't notice the drop in television revenue

9) "You can only beat what's in front of you". Actually, we knew that already, but the chances of Alan Shearer saying ANYTHING on Match Of The Day that you haven't heard before are receding faster than his hairline. grin

10) Wor' Alan's alma mater Newcastle aren't nearly as much fun now they're actually winning games, and stuff.

seriously why do guys keep saying this stuff, its just the first game, its still early in the season, the games against the smaller teams matter more than against fellow big 'fours' dont matter, last time i checked three points in early august remains three points early may. yes premiership is a marathon, but you want to imagine what would have happened two season ago if we had taken extra 3 points off each of the big four at any point in the season?
i'll give the Arsdhavin advice: The focus is always on the next game.
Its the red and white army!!!!
Of course, every match is important.
What I am saying is that if any side should lose on saturday, it doesnt mean they are out of the title race.Isn't that true?
I am stressing on the fact that, it doesn't make sense beating Manure home and away and then lose to Burnley, Stoke and Villa huh huh
Of course Slimshay, I would like us to beat every team and by end of March we are crowned champions with 6 games to spare. cool
But that is a tall order.Isn't it? grin
Look at Manure last season, they lost to Arsenal and were beaten blackish blue and bluish back grin twice by Liverpool, yet won the league with a game to spare. They only picked maximum three points, once against Chelski shocked
How did they do it?
they beat all the 'small' teams, both home and away, not drawing with Boro, Fulham and Sunderland or losing to Hull or Stoke.
That's what I am saying, give every of those 'small' teams, the Everton treatment. . , .
Beat them home and away
So that when you play the other big 3, its just about the bragging rights, not necessarily the points!
What do you think?

but the important game is not slipping up against Celtic. Whether we win, lose or draw against Utd, it will not tell much of where our fate will lie this season. Beating the lower echelon clubs is and must remain our primary focus - once we do that, I am confident we have sufficient quality to overturn the 'big boys' when the occasion calls for it.
Would love to repeat the feat of the 06/07 season by beating the scummies at Old Toilet, but the most important game this week is wrapping up qualification for the CL.The result on saturday may have no bearing at all on the EPL race.
I mean, of what use is it if we beat the Scummies and get burnt by Burnley grin
I would like us to give the Everton treatment to all the non-big 4 sides this season. tongue
That's how we will challenge for the trophy.
