Who cares what he achieved in France sitting in the shadows of Zidane.

When Zidane left and Henry had to lead we saw how well he did in Korea Japan and WC qualifiers.
Hmmn
So when Henry won the Euro Cup and Confed cup, he was playing for Bayern abi
and when he played the 2nd WC finals, he was in Koln
Your friend sauron talks about how at age 18, Rooney was ruling the world with England and making the team of the tournament
So why not Henry
Is it because CR7 hasnt achieved anything on the intl stage?

[quote author=~Sauron~ link=topic=294608.msg4413993#msg4413993 date=1251132304]This HNIC is notoriously daft. . . . . .Are you aware the CWC is a FIFA-organised competition?
Are you aware the matches were part of the 66 competitive games United played last season?
Wazza went to a tournament, scored 3 good goals against Continental champions and you are here bleating nonsense.

This is not Emirates cup or some obscured Amsterdam tournament. . . . . For RVP to play in this competition, he must win the UCL first.
Now think about it. . . . . The competition's pre-requisite is so tough Arsenal WILL NEVER  play in there.
Think about the number of world class players that have played in this competition. . . .All WPOTYs have graced the competition.

Hahahaha. . . . .and yet he has won what most players in the Arsenal squad hasn't won.
Matter of fact, the most decorated player in the Arsenal team was bought from Man Utd.
It sums y'all up. . . . .Buncha useless outfit.

Not when it comes to a winger outscoring all the strikers in Europe.
Winning his league, winning his domestic golden boot, winning in Europe, winning the golden boot in Europe.
U have to be daft to ignore Ronaldo's contribution in 2007/8. . . . .No winger will ever match 42 goals in your lifetime. grin

U don't rate awards. . . . . .Do u rate 42 goals scored by a winger?
Do u rate his 8 UCL goals? Do u rate is 31 EPL goals.?? A number Thierry Henry didn't match in his 7 seasons at Arsenal?
HNIC. . . . .Head Ninny In Charge.

After 7 seasons, i woulda been surprised he didn't score against all the EPL teams.
That is hardly an achievement. . . . .Ronaldo scored against all EPL teams between May 2007 and May 2008.

Henry's incompetence made some unfortunate fans believe FIFA was biased against the EPL. But when a player gets to the final and messes up like Henry does regularly.

Henry is a star playing against Southampton and co
But check games that matter like
UEFA Cup final vs Galatasaray 2000
Euro 2000 finals when he turned out to be an additional defender for Italy till Trezeguet came in.
FA cup final vs Liverpool 2001
CL finals vs Barca 2006

Has won the world cup, euro cup, CL, Confed cup, bla, bla, bla
Will RONALDO ever win the World Cup, never mind the Euro Cup?

Vidic is left facing trial by television over Rodallega slap

Manchester United have suffered another blow to their defensive plans as the FA decide whether to charge Nemanja Vidic with violent conduct while Jonny Evans continues to struggle with an ankle injury.
Vidic is facing trial by TV after appearing to slap Wigan centre forward Hugo Rodallega on Saturday.
Tempers flared when the striker clattered into United keeper Ben Foster in an attempt to win the ball.

Last night the FA confirmed that they will look at the incident and Vidic could face a three-match ban.
Meanwhile, it is understood that United are considering whether to send Evans for surgery after he limped off with a recurrence of an injury that has bothered him all season.
United can ill afford to lose either player as their other main central defender, Rio Ferdinand, is out with a thigh problem.
Referee Howard Webb did not see the Vidic incident at the DW Stadium but will be asked by the FA what he would have done if he had.
Rodallega certainly made the most of the incident and may even face sanction himself after appearing to shrug off Webb a little too vigorously as the official attempted to calm him down.

Calum Davenport injuries could be career-threatening after West Ham defender stabbed in legs
By Matt Barlow

Gianfranco Zola led the messages of support for Calum Davenport, the West Ham defender whose career is in doubt after a knife attack left him with wounds in both legs.

Davenport's condition has stabilised since the stabbing in an incident at his mother's house in Bedford early on Saturday.

His life is no longer in danger but doctors remain concerned that severe artery damage may stop him playing professional football again.

'It will become more clear in the next few days,' said Zola. 'Now, the most important thing is that he is all right.
'We are very sorry about what happened. It is a terrible story. We are close to him. We have to try to imagine what he is going through at the moment and hopefully he will get better.'

Supporters from both West Ham and Tottenham applauded the former Spurs defender Davenport, 26, before yesterday's London derby at Upton Park.
'It's really sad,' said Spurs boss Harry Redknapp. 'I had Calum at Southampton and you couldn't wish to meet a quieter, more laid-back lad. We send him our best wishes.'
Zola said Davenport's injuries would not impact on the future of centre half James Collins, targeted by Aston Villa and Stoke.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill was at Upton Park to check on him yesterday and the Hammers need the money from the sale of Collins to finance the signing of Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux for £7million
