@ jackal
Maybe you should consider a career in running football commentary on TV(MUTV).
I am not surprised at the way you guys(the mancs) are ranting, Y'all said same last season before the clash at OT and Ashburton Grove, Let me take you back to some highlights in the games, From an arsenal point of view grin grin grin.

At OT, Late in the game,Cesc Fabregas ran rings round the mancs defence b4 sliding a pass thru to Adebayor(Yes,Ade, the much maligned striker) who put the ball past on rushing Van der Sar. into the net, 1-0 to the Arsenal in front of 70,000 manc supporters.
At the Emirates, Shrek thought he had won the game for the Mancs when he scored early in the second half, until a late rally by Arsenal saw RVPersie score and in injury time, TH14 rose in between Rio and Vidic to nod home the winner, 2-1 to the Arsenal on the night,

Lehman the Comedian
Van der Sar resorted to time wasting and feigning injury when there was none.He thot Shrek's goal had won it for them.So after TH14's goal, Lehmann decided to mimick his opposite's number's gestures when they were leading.I laughed so hard that day,

Nov 3 is not too far away, Looking forward to further laughs also. Go gunners!

@ MC Omo,

A manager's headache is to pick the best players available in order for him to suceed and he does that by picking the players in form, not necessarily players with huge reputations.
The bucks stops at his table.
The truth is that if I were to pick between Gilberto and Flamini before the season commenced, it would have been Gilberto but Flamini has played in his place and has been doing a great job,
Like the Americans say 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 10:21am On Oct 23, 2007
I can't help but agree with Debosky, Flamini has been on fire, he has worked tirelessly in midfield so far and has been breaking up opponent's play with relative ease.Gilberto will still get his chance. It's a long season and remember Arsenal will be challenging on all fronts.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 9:11am On Oct 23, 2007
Why would anyone be surprised about the drivel being spewed by Joe B?.
The chap doesnt even know the whereabouts of their reserve goalie(I wonder what else he knows lipsrsealed),
Only a football novice can call a team that went 49 matches unbeaten( and a whole season unbeaten) 'small'.It wasn't done in the early thirties, it was done in 2003/2004 grin
Sports › Re: Primership Game For The Next Two Weeks For Arsenal by HNIC(m): 8:46am On Oct 23, 2007
I saw Arsenal at the Emirates cup(pre season) and at the tournament in Amsterdam and I knew it was gonna be a bright season!
Fabregas has been on fire but make no mistake about the contributions of Hleb(finally, we are seeing why Wenger forked out so much money on him) and Flamini(he's keeping Gilberto on the bench). What of Adebayor(6 goals already) or Sagna(one would think he's been playing premiership footie for ages).
How about Gael 'Who remembers we ever had Cashley Cole' Clichy? He's proving to be one of the best left backs in the Premiership, Of course, we all know the quality of Gallas,Toure,RVP etc,
.Mark my words, this is the season.
Do you really think this team fears the likes of Manchester Utd who they beat home and away last season or Liverpool, who they beat thrice last season(twice at Anfield) or Chelsea who had to rely on Essien to snatch 2 draws against them last season,
Many are surprised about our form and are predicting all sorts of doom to happen soon, Little do they know, that THE ARSENAL is back!
Sports › Re: Who Win The English Primier League? Too Early To Call by HNIC(m): 3:42pm On Oct 22, 2007

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 12:30pm On Oct 22, 2007
The haters continue their doomday prohercies about Arsenal, shocked, Mean while we are riding on.Before the game, the haters were wondering how Arsenal will cope without RVP, well y'all can see.I always laugh very hard when I see the hate comments, Wish they(the haters) knew the ARSENAL is back.Last time I checked the table, 9 games played(as against 10 by the haters) and two points ahead. The guns won't cease to blaze!!!

More gnashing of teeth awaits the haters, because the ARSENAL FC is back!!!

@ jackal
I think I will heed Loyika's advice to quit arguing with you.

But I was happy, you realised that this Arsenal team can go on and win the league, (though u said God forbid)

Wonder what you haters wont say about the Arsenal, In one moment, they are called kids that would never win anything, now my friend, jackal is referring to them as old men, grin grin grin, deliberately mentioning the oldest players in the team and leaving out the likes of Clichy,Fab,Diaby,Denilson,Theo,Brendtner, etc
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 5:00pm On Oct 19, 2007
@ jackal

Like the average manc, you are beginning to get personal and deviate from the issues.

First you mentioned 11 players on the surgeon's table, now u could only reel out 8 and as at the last time, I thought G.Neville(Is he still around) grin and Van der sar were back.

Also, u are telling me the players(Nani, Anderson etc) were bought for the future. How are we to know?when u are playing them now! grin, I used to think it was only Arsenal that buy players for the future grin grin grin grin grin

Also, how dare u compare us to Chelsea and Man city in terms of topping the table this season? We've topped the table since the Spurs victory and we are still there, Though I know u dont get any prize for topping the table in mid-October but it sure shut the mouths of the doomsday prophets thinking without Henry, its all over for the Arsenal,

Also, dont u think it was just a lame chauvinistic outburst, with no iota of truthfulness, saying Arsenal will be relegated without Cesc and RVP and saying all the other players are sh*$!!!!!, I am not surprised, afterall, you must have said the same thing when u heard TH14 has been signed by Barca,
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 4:04pm On Oct 19, 2007
@ jackal

Please, mention the 11 players that are presently injured and please dont mention players in the reserve team/bench warmers, grin, You mancs would never cease to amaze me, You are giving excuses( very lame ones) already, (Its just 8 weeks, ok sorry 9 weeks for u guys)
Like Arsenal played last season without injuries at all, Van Persie stopped playing in January while Henry stopped playing in March, Like Man utd would have been champions if Rooney and Ronaldo missed a huge chunk of last season.
Injuries are part of this beautiful game called football, so please get on with it, afterall u spent good money buying the likes of Nani, Anderson,Hargreaves,Tevez etc, Get on with it man, and stop the complaining and the excuses.

As at the last time, I checked the table, the Arsenal is still on top, leading with two points with a game in hand.Robin or no Robin, we are marching on, Afterall, we have played loads of games without RVP and won!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 3:22pm On Oct 19, 2007
@jackal,
I would have been dead surprised if u didnt retort like that,

We began the 2004/2005 season as champions on the back of a whole season without being beaten(need I remind you) and if I can remember correctly,we won the FA cup that season ,beating the mancs in the final and also finished way above you that season.
And how can you say Arsenal is only on top because of injuries to Man utd/chelsea players. What a lame excuse? You should cover your eyes in shame cry, Let me mention how many first team players we have had injured this season, Gallas,Lehmann,Eboue,Rosicky,
Well, excuses, excuses, excuses,
The Mancs are even lucky to be where they are now, Cant remember how many 1-0 victories they have amassed this season and some favourable decisions going their way this season,
Anyway, we will definately repeat THE DOUBLE over you this season .
, Just watch the Arsenal as we match on,
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 1:02pm On Oct 19, 2007
Wow,
What would the haters not say?
First, it was , Henry has left Arsenal, Arsenal is finished, They are gonna move from 4th place to emmmn, 17th or maybe even relegated,
After a few weeks, the haters were dumbfounded and came up with another theory as to why their foolish predictions had not come to pass, Yes, they are having it easy because they are playing lowly rated teams, etc, embarassed

Now they are celebrating because Robin Van Persie is injured and predicting doom and gloom for Arsenal.

One would think RVP has been shot and would never be back(LOL, only out for 1 month max)

But even the fiercest critics of Arsenal FC would know that some things have changed from last season. cool

1.) We are scoring from set-piece situations, something we failed to do all thru last season,
2.) We are defending set pieces very well.
3.) Cesc and Ade are scoring goals(10 between them already in the league), even Senderos joined in the action two weeks ago
4.) We would have been 4 points clear with a game in hand, if not for Lehmann's goof at Blackburn. cry
5.There is a certain ruthlessness now with the Arsenal and maybe last season, we would have drawn the last game against Sunderland(or even lost).
6)We are top of the league with the ffg supposed 1st team players hardly featuring, Gallas,Lehmann,Gilberto,Eboue,Eduardo. grin
7.)Hleb and Flamini(two players seen as squad players by many) are playing their best football ever

Jackal, Razorr and the remaining crew of haters, Its hard to take, but the ARSENAL is back, grin

Didier Drogba was quoted in a French footie magazine saying 'I want to leave Chelsea.Nothing can stop me from leaving.Something is broken with Chelsea. The damage in the dressing room is big because we know now what hapenned and who caused Mourinho's departure'.
Looks like Didier is set to spill the beans only after he leaves. It will be great to read about what transpired in the Chelsea dressing room after Mour's departure.Well, the 'rent' boys have had a piece of Abramovich's pie and are going back to base.Seems the party is over, Who next?Lampard,Carvalho,Essien?Time will tell,
Reports say Chelsea has denied his exit but Eh, They also denied Robben's exit,

Great write up. cool
but the 1000th goal of the Nations cup was not Jayjay's wonder goal against Cameroun,It was the penalty against South Africa, which was Nigeria's second goal in the match.Joseph Yobo opened scoring in the first half and two goals from Osaze in the second half completed the 4-0 mauling of South Africa.

Some of your diatribe at Monsieur Wenger are simply appalling. Is his loyalty to his employers or to the English game?Is it his fault that home grown talents like Sidwell,Bentley, etc decided to jump ship and couldn't bid their time. What was that analogy between Kanu and Henry? That AW helped Henry's confidence by giving him more play time in comparison to Kanu!!!huh. If Arsene combs Africa,Middle east and the rest of the world for talents, how does it concern you?Like the mancs haven't played chaps from Argentina,Korea,Trinidad and Tobago,Cameroun etc?.Please, leave AW alone, he wasn't employed by Arsenal to develop English talents.
