Your hypocrisy stinks to heavens. Douglas Road is the worst place in Owerri because of congestion resulting from a badly sited market which Government will soon move and reconstruct Douglas. Most of you have been all over blogosphere threatening fire and brimstone if Owerri main market is relocated and illegal structures demolished. The riad can never be good if that is not done.

Yesterday... IMSU Medical students Association went on a protest towards the government house to protest over the degrading educational system in the medical faculty.

Some of the complaints were :

* Four(4) months salary salary being owed not to say the strike as well

* lack of patients in the teaching teaching hospital since July 2015

* Teaching and learning in the hospital has come to a halt

* Under-staffing of various departments in the hopital

* Long stay of over 10 years for a programme of 6 years

* Inadequate accommodation for students

* No hopes of retaining MDCN accreditation by end of this year

* Examination are cancelled and deferred indefinitely

*No motorable roads to IMSUTH.... etc


They went ahead to list possible solutions and asking the Governor to sit up and look into the encroaching educational system.

MEANWHILE DURING THE ONGOING PEACEFUL PROTEST THE POLICE AND SSS STARTED FIRING TEAR GAS TO DISPERSE THE CROWD.

I have been watching, reading so many ignorant replies by some fellas here.
First and foremost, nobody said Morphine is a new drug. It was even stated that its been in use sparingly in hospitals.
Meaning, its not an over the counter drug one can easily get. Its usage is controlled.
Thirdly, its more effective unlike most pain killers readily available.
Fourth... Those with ailments such as HIV and Cancer suffer unimaginable pain u don't wanna experience.
Now efforts has been made to make this drug easily avialable to them and others with related ailments to help alleviate the traumatic pain dey go through...
I just don't know why people don't read to understand before commenting.
