Nairaland / General / Re: ~ How Do You React To Criticism? ~ by Homonide: 7:47pm On Oct 13, 2009
To be fair, a good number of people, not excluding this writer react badly to criticism. We are often fierce in the defense of our ideas, to the point of

being belligerent.

I, for one don't mind being criticized, especially if it is constructive. I might squeeze my face and even be genuinely offended, but after reminiscing on

the suggestion of the critique, i decide whether the criticism was fair or otherwise. If fair, i try to adjust. If otherwise, then i discard it.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Mozambique (1 - 0 ) 11 October 2009 by Homonide: 6:13pm On Oct 13, 2009
I partially agree with proudly9ja, but i think as soccer-loving Nigerians, we deserve some joy, part of which can only be derived if our National team

is in the world Cup.

Do we deserve to be @ the Mundial? the answer is NO. Here we are again, simply because of our fire-brigade approach to everything.

As much as i would have loved to see the super eagles(not the super goofs parading themselves as super eagles) at the World Cup, the reality is

that Nigeria wouldn't qualify. All soccer lovers who are unrealistically pessimimstic about the chances of the Super goofs should wake up from their

slumber. Tunisia deserves to be @ next year's world cup, shikena; and they r gonna be there.

Wake up unrealistic Optimists, the Super goofs are not going to be @ the Mundial next year.why? cos when they had the chance, they blew it. Tunisia has more character and are more dedicated, they deserve to be there, we don't.
Politics / Re: Which City In Nigeria Would You Like To Live In? Why? by Homonide: 11:02am On Oct 13, 2009
EKO FOR SHOW, cos that's where 60% of Nigeria's economy is. It is also where it happens socially. 2nd choice, maybe ABJ.
Politics / Re: Do You Support A 2 Party System For Nigeria? by Homonide: 10:47am On Oct 13, 2009
[2 party system would end up as christian vs muslim parties. Muslim leaders wouldn't like that, because it would show their numerical inferiority.]
@ naijaking1
I find it difficult that while nairalanders were brainstorming on an inmportant topic like this, u choose instead to post a very insulting, baseless and completetely off the topic thread. Don't we have admins on nairaland? i wonder what the heck they are doing allowing a useless thread like this to be posted.
I won't bother myself debating the issue with u as that would give ur very warped sense of reasoning some justification, I must say that u r infact pathetic, very pathetic.

Politics / Re: Soludo is the PDP Candidate (Anambra) by Homonide: 2:08pm On Oct 10, 2009
Lets just wait and see the impending Political imbroglio unfold in Anambra State. Anambra has proved in recent times to be the centre of political drama in Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Would You Vote For Yaradua To Be Re-elected? by Homonide: 2:04pm On Oct 10, 2009
Vote for Yar'adua to be re-elected? Even if his life depends on it, i won't.
Sports / Re: Nigerians Dont Know Football By Amodu by Homonide: 1:51pm On Oct 10, 2009
"Nigerians do not know football". What arrogance! because we didn't go to coaching school? So why can't Amodu that "knows" football win an important qualifier when it matters most? Amodu is a failure. Shikena.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Obama Wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize by Homonide: 8:01pm On Oct 09, 2009
I submit without any fear of contradiction that even though President Barack Obama has made some efforts to enhance global peace, he doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel committee seem to have been taken in by President Obama's personality. I believe the committee should have selected someone who has made some genuine efforts to Foster Peace in the world.
Romance / Re: Your Duty As Someone's Boyfriend Or Girlfriend? by Homonide: 4:45am On Sep 18, 2009
nice post, though i've got my reservations.
Education / Re: University Of Ibadan Wins Zain Competition For African Universities by Homonide: 2:27pm On Sep 06, 2009
Congratulations to the Premier University,UI. Even though i didn't follow the show,it really feels good to know that Nigerian universities can still perform well given the right incentives and atmosphere.Mr Yar'adua,do u read @ all?
Education / Re: ASUU's Open Letter To Mr President by Homonide: 9:15am On Sep 01, 2009
It is obvious that Mr Yar'adua's government does not value the education, and in essence, the future of Nigeria. What stands him out from a Soldier like Sani Abacha then? This guy is supposedly a University graduate for GOD's sake! No matter how long it takes, methinks ASUU should see to the end of this problem once and for all,no matter how long it takes.
Mr Yar'adua, can u or do u read at all?
Music/Radio / Re: Who Is King Of Fuji Now! by Homonide: 6:17pm On Aug 16, 2009

Education / Re: The Best University In Nigeria by Homonide: 3:01pm On Apr 11, 2009
We all know how bleeped up Nigerian Universities are,but in all fairness, the best Universities in Nigeria are still the First Generation Universities, despite the Obsolete equipments, Of course i'd recommend my School, the Only truly Nigerian University, the largest University South of the Sahara,North of Limpopo:the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.visit www.abu.edu.ng
