To be fair, a good number of people, not excluding this writer react badly to criticism. We are often fierce in the defense of our ideas, to the point of

being belligerent.

I, for one don't mind being criticized, especially if it is constructive. I might squeeze my face and even be genuinely offended, but after reminiscing on

the suggestion of the critique, i decide whether the criticism was fair or otherwise. If fair, i try to adjust. If otherwise, then i discard it.

I partially agree with proudly9ja, but i think as soccer-loving Nigerians, we deserve some joy, part of which can only be derived if our National team

is in the world Cup.

Do we deserve to be @ the Mundial? the answer is NO. Here we are again, simply because of our fire-brigade approach to everything.

As much as i would have loved to see the super eagles(not the super goofs parading themselves as super eagles) at the World Cup, the reality is

that Nigeria wouldn't qualify. All soccer lovers who are unrealistically pessimimstic about the chances of the Super goofs should wake up from their

slumber. Tunisia deserves to be @ next year's world cup, shikena; and they r gonna be there.

Wake up unrealistic Optimists, the Super goofs are not going to be @ the Mundial next year.why? cos when they had the chance, they blew it. Tunisia has more character and are more dedicated, they deserve to be there, we don't.

EKO FOR SHOW, cos that's where 60% of Nigeria's economy is. It is also where it happens socially. 2nd choice, maybe ABJ.

[2 party system would end up as christian vs muslim parties. Muslim leaders wouldn't like that, because it would show their numerical inferiority.]

I submit without any fear of contradiction that even though President Barack Obama has made some efforts to enhance global peace, he doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel committee seem to have been taken in by President Obama's personality. I believe the committee should have selected someone who has made some genuine efforts to Foster Peace in the world.

Congratulations to the Premier University,UI. Even though i didn't follow the show,it really feels good to know that Nigerian universities can still perform well given the right incentives and atmosphere.Mr Yar'adua,do u read @ all?

It is obvious that Mr Yar'adua's government does not value the education, and in essence,the future of Nigeria.What stands him out from a Soldier like Sani Abacha then?This guy is supposedly a University graduate for GOD's sake! No matter how long it takes, methinks ASUU should see to the end of this problem once and for all,no matter how long it takes.

We all know how bleeped up Nigerian Universities are,but in all fairness, the best Universities in Nigeria are still the First Generation Universities,despite the Obsolete equipments, Of course i'd recommend my School,the Only truly Nigerian University,the largest University South of the Sahara,North of Limpopo:the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.visit www.abu.edu.ng
