Nigeria the real deal - Herbert Addo

Posted: 2010-04-13 13:34

Herbert Addo has marked down Nigeria as Ghana's biggest competition after the local Black Stars strolled into the semi-finals of the WAFU Cup of Nations with a 3-0 win over Liberia.

Samuel Affum scored a hat-trick to give Ghana a clean slate with two wins out of two, five goals scored and none conceded at the tournament currently taking place in Nigeria.

Ghana are looking to defend the title they won in the first edition and Addo will take his players into the final group game against Burkina Faso knowing he can rest key players.

But with the knockout stages approaching, Addo has identified where the biggest threat to a successful title defence will come from.

"Ghana and Nigeria are branded as brothers but when it comes to the pitch, it's a different story. On Friday, I saw Nigeria demolish Benin and I have learnt one or two things. We are looking forward to meeting Nigeria if the chance comes because what I saw is a great challenge coming from Nigerian team led by Amokachi who I have always admired even when he was a player," Addo said.

While Addo has been impressed with the quality of Nigeria's football, he has been far from impressed with the spectators.

“I didn't see any crowd. It is just a few of us who were enjoying the game and I hope in the future, they will come because I believe they are just testing the coast and with the kind of football that they have seen, those who were here will spread the news and they will come.

“This things need a lot of publicity because here in Africa, we play a lot of good football."

NFF drag AIT, Afribank to arbitration

Posted: 2010-04-12 18:08

The Nigeria Football Federation say they will take commercial partners AIT and Afribank to arbitration for failing to meet up with their contractual obligations.

AIT are the broadcast rights holders to all national team games, while Afribank are the official banking partners of the NFF.

Idris Adama, NFF's Head of Marketing, told KickOffNigeria.com that both bodies had failed to hold up their end of the contractual agreements, and the NFF had no option but to go to arbitration.

“We have concluded arrangements to take AIT and Afribank to arbitration for non-compliance with to contractual relationships despite the continued leveraging on the NFF properties by these two bodies.

“Their non-compliance is detrimental to the football brand development in Nigeria and the NFF will no longer continue to keep quiet while these companies monopolise the benefits of the brand and fail to meet up with the contractual obligations.”

Adama, however, praised the contributions of the NFF's other partners.

“Guinness, Coca Cola, Wamco, adidas, SuperSport and Cadbury are the best things that has happened to football development in Nigeria.”

For real shocked shocked shocked? Outta sight!! Did you really have to share that with us? grin? Kinda funny though.

Looks like most "crimes" were against our parents/guardians, and a few against our siblings. I really outsmarted my elder brothers more than once in my time cheesy cheesy, to show u that girls can really have more sense than their older male counterparts. Like I said earlier, I grew up with a lot of boys - sisters came later (much later, and they were no match for me tongue. They grew up being the girly, loveable ones, while I chose the  opposite path grin)

Anyway,  like, in primary school, my friends and I loved music and knew all the latest pop songs, though we might not know the right words. My elder ones were good with that, being older and more intelligent tongue.

Well, a new song came out that I really liked but I didn't know the lyrics. I really wanted to show off to my pals, so I had to think up a way to make my brothers get me the lyrics. Knowing they wouldn't help me if I just asked them to (yeah, I was a real brat tongue), I tricked them by telling them that a teacher in my class promised some prize money to anyone who would get her the correct lyrics.

Wanting to win the prize in this lyrics competition grin, they quickly procured the lyrics and wrote it down neatly for me. I was very happy and later they kept asking how far with the competition, did they win?? LOL, can't remember if I confessed or not, but it was really funny to think that my older brothers actually believed someone was giving out a prize for song lyrics?? Boys!!! grin
well, i wouldn't say you outsmarted them, it's possible for such to happen and be believed, i might even believe it too because i have seen competitions like that in schools.

[quote author=Red-lips link=topic=425839.msg5884501#msg5884501 date=1271173517]I really did some yucky things as a kid.

Whenever my mum is getting ready for work, I used to stay in the room with her and watch her prepare. Sometimes after combing her hair, she will remove some of the hair that cut in the process from the comb and give to me to throw away. On my way to the garbage bin, I will just duck somewhere and eat all the hair ( I wonder why i still have intestines) shocked

I used ot enjoy eating the boogie from my nose as a child, i to cherished that delicacy grin

Thread locked for lack of substantial evidence, if you want to draft out your 42 man list, we'd understand it's yours, but when you claim you heard it somewhere without any real back up, then we won't take that from you because it lacks evidence, i also heard this morning (some newspapers) that Martins, Kanu and Ogbuke are on the list, so you see we can't really believe yours.

honeric im very well aware of what the bible says about oppressors

thats why you should teach your daughters to turn the other cheek

sit and wait to be chris browned

im not the type to allow myself to be harrased

thats just me mate- im sure after that incident

the boyfriend will neva slap her again- simple
you just won't understand, i asked you some questions and you decided not to answer them, well let me ask you again :

what if he ends up getting the knife from you?

what then are you going to use in defending yourself after you must have ended up getting him worked up and more angry?

Why not avoid a bully in the first place?

You can't say it's impossible to see the trait of a bully in his actions and behavior, before getting serious with a man, you should be able to study him and know the kinda person he is and there's nothing stopping you from walking outta such relationship instead of trying to put your life more in danger by thinking you might be able to scare him with a weapon.

[quote author=Dan-G link=topic=428767.msg5877024#msg5877024 date=1271080958]Guy, your story is quite better, considering the fact that you haven't even spent spent your money on her, see am very young and Independent, and at ma age its very tough to find an independent lady(I know say them boku), so I decided to go for some one older than I am.

here is her story:

1. My mum takes care of all of us, n I don't want to disturb her, and I need to pay for my semester fees: N30,000
Me:Ok, no problem, I gave out N30,000

2. Am having ulcer cos I can't even feed, there's no money on me
Me: Ok, you must eat, gave out N5,000

3. On a weekend visit, I had to buy her Issey Miyake Body Spray, Issey mikaye Perfume, Novegena Oil, I don forget how much all this cost me, when leaving, she said I don't have Tee fare, I gave out N5,000 again

4. Recently, I gave out N20,000 for her eye lens and frame
5. Today I don pay N7,000 for her upkeep, just something for da pocket

Do u know the good news, we have just been together for 6months, and after all this she still accuses me of not LOVING HER THE WAY SHE LOVES ME, AND THAT AM NOT COMMITTED TO THE RELATIONSHIP. All because say I they hesistate b4 they pay her offering

And really am not complaining doing it cos I love her, but all I wish for is a 2 sided relationship not this one, but wetin I go do, I don put head and i don already invest too
