Politics / Border Closure: My Appeal To President Buhari by honourhim: 12:54pm On Oct 30, 2019
My dear president Buhari,

I want to use this medium to make an appeal to you concerning the closure of our land border.

In the late nineties, a certain man was appointed the DG of National Broadcasting Corporation. This man decided to grow Nigerian music which was so unpopular in those days.

He directed all radio and Tv stations to always play 70% of Nigerian music and 30 percent of foreign music. By so doing Nigerian music began to get popular in Nigeria. more talented artistes started coming on board; Artistes like 2face, Psquare, Paul Daira, Showkey, Dbbanj, Nigga raw, faze Timaya, M I, Duncan mighty , Eedris etc started making waves. Then came Olamide, Phyno, Flavour, Simi, Davido, Wizkid

Today Nigerian musicians are making it big both in this country and outside .. Every DJ now plays Nigeria music. This has helped some of our youths to come out of unemployment.

The closure of the land bother is a step in the right direction. It will make Nigerians to start going into manufacturing/ production.

Please dont open the border yet. Hard conditions always make Nigerians to be more creative and thats how we can grow our own production,

The directive that the NBC issued in the 90s concerning our music is still yielding more excellent results to the extent that American stars now want to identify with Naija musicians,

Mr president please keep it up. Do not allow Ghana , Niger and the other countries pressure you into changing this good step you have taken.

For me i will advice that the border remain closed till next year ((2020)

Thank sir

Oga stop lying. There was loyalty.

Also PDP went for Obasanjo to compensate Abiola's issue.

Honestly I would never forgive Jonathan. My company had nodded for the surveillance of all pipeline prior to 2015 general election. Our counterparts in US has made all necessary preparation. I was part of team that suppose to travel to US for training. Unfortunately Jonathan just cancelled our bidding and awarded the pipeline monitoring to Tompolo and gani Adams.
Bcoz of politics Jonathan abandon technology that would detect leakages anywhere and could be shut down at central control room.

Jonathan failed big time. I feel so sad each time i remember it.

Buhari destroyed Nigeria and everything our former great Good luck Jonathan and obasanjo worked hard for.

These are some of Jonathan and obsanjo achievements before buhari destroyed it.

1) goodluck Jonathan and obasanjo made Nigeria to have 24 hours supply after using 16 billion dollars in fixing it, buhari came and destroyed everything.

2)good luck Jonathan fixed all trains and rail lines in Nigeria, buhari came and destroyed it

3)Jonathan completed the second Niger bridge, buhari came and destroyed it

4)Jonathan and Igbo aviation minister made Enugu Airport world standard (even though flood and grass were present there) then buhari came and destroyed it.

5)Jonathan priotise south south sea ports and everything where working, buhari came and destroyed it.

6)Jonathan made Nigeria universities not to have strike

7)Jonathan government was corruption free

coolJonathan made Nigeria to eat local rice and buhari came and destroyed it

9)boko haram was destroyed by Jonathan, buhari came and resurrected them.

10) Jonathan made Nigeria heaven and buhari came and destroyed everything our Jonathan and obasanjo worked hard for. This is why buhari is hated

I can agree with you on this one to a reasonable extent

Dont mind my people and their stupld hatred for Buhari.

Though i was disappointed in Buhari's first tenure, his second tenure is moving on well.

By the time he will present his second tenure report card, shame go catch his haters.

Jonathan remains a huge failure..

ManirBK:
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has given reasons why it rejected the plan by the Federal Government to enrol university workers into IPPIS, saying it violated university autonomy.
The ASUU Coordinator in Lagos zone, Prof. Olusiji Sowande, who stated this at a press conference held at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB, on Thursday, said that the policy was not acceptable to the union.
Mr Sowande noted that it was important for the Federal Government to consider the peculiarities of the universities and their enabling laws before such decisions could be made.
He added that universities operated differently from the civil service and should, therefore, not be seen as appendages of ministries, departments and agencies of government.
“In addition to the Act establishing each university, there is the Universities Miscellaneous Provisions (Amendment) Act, 2003.
“The Act states in Section 2(A) that the power of the council shall be exercised as in the laws and statutes of each university and to that extent, the establishment circulars that are inconsistent with the laws and statutes of the university shall not apply to the university.
“IPPIS will not recognise nor adequately capture the flexibility and peculiarities of the university system in terms of replacement/recruitment of staff,” he said.
Mr Sowande explained that ASUU believed that President Muhammadu Buhari would not violate his oath of office, but would rather abide by the constitution and the law of the land.
He added that the union was not opposed to accountability and transparency in handling public funds.https://dailynigerian.com/why-were-against-nigerian-govts-ippis-by-ASUU/?

Igbo people thinks they can blackmail other Nigerians in to supporting their quest for president.

The truth is that the current crops of Igbo leaders are too corrupt, greedy, self-centered and does not have what it takes to keep Nigeria united as safe.

After President Buhari, power should rotate to the Northeast before coming to the Southeast for Igbos.

Dont worry yourself about us. Just bring out a good candidate from the north east in 2023 and we will vote for him..

Any president that will put in place the basic infrastructure that will make business very effective is okay by us.

If Osibanjo can do it we will vote for him. Forget about our Ipob brothers. If they dont want to vote we will vote.

I am not a fan of Biafra though.

The only thing that baffles me is how northerners tremble each time they hear of Biafra,

Is the north so hopeless, helpless and useless to the extent that they cant exist alone without Biafra?

Igbos support resource control but the north doesnt.

Igbos support restructuring but the north doesnt.

Igbos support regional government but the north doesnt.

Igbos support true federalism but the north doesmt.

Igbos support secession but the north doesnt.

The only thing that the north want is this idiotic and satanic system they are running now. QUITE A BIG SHAME ON THEM,

THOSE OF THEM IN NAIRALAND JUMPS INTO ANY THREAD ON BIAFRA JUST TO DISPLAY THEIR MONUMENTAL STUPLDLTY

Politics / Finally The Two Best Governors Of The South east Since 1999 by honourhim: 12:38pm On Oct 16, 2019
Obviously the two governors who served their states best when they were governors are-

Sullivan Chime of Enugu state and Peter Obi of Anambra.

Sullivan hated praise singers and barred them from blowing trumpet of his achievements hence many Nigerians didnt hear much about his achievement.
Peter Obi did same and he demystified the office of the govern. He comes to any occasions and mix freely with people. Any church service he attends late he will sit at the back like every other person.

Were it not for the humility of these two leaders, people would made so much noise of their various achievements when they were governors.

check out this thread and see what people have to say about them

I have always maintained that 2023 will determine whether Nigeria will remain United as a Country or disintegrate. What is it that people like Junaid are doing specially for Nigeria to make them think that they deserve to retain the Throne of Nigeria for ever.Northern citizens have governed Nigeria more than any region of this country yet, they are the least developed, poorest and and the least educated, most corrupt etc.It is on record that their leaders watered the ground for the bloodletting that is today called Boko Haram.point one positive legacy that one Nigerian leader of Nothern extraction has bequeathed on this Nation.Rather Nigeria inherited trillions of dollars debt from their military leaders that took the intervention of Ibos in Obasanjo's cabinet to get the paris club to write off the huge debt burden.
Junaidu or whatever they call him should save his breath for his day of waterloo.

Everybody knows that SE federal roads are the worse in the country, but the UNITARY Nigeria government are so clueless that they can build the tollgates on road leading to hell. Jonathan left south east roads in a worst state than he met it.

He spent almost six years as president and failed to repair our roads.

Buhari is the one working on them now.

Jonathan failed big time abeg. Make una no dey cover that man. He really failed in putting good infrastructure in the south. Including his Bayelsa state.
