kraftyiyk: Are you trying to insinuate that igbos voted in Buhari? You guys needs this advice more than igbos cause u all Voted with sentiments to place us in this Buhari problem!
When Ndigbo (in their usual balanced mindset) evaluated and voted against Buhari in 2015, did u guys not come on this same NL to talk nonsense on how igbos are politically blind? After 2.5 yrs how far?
No. My point is that you ipobs should drop that idea of boycotting election and come out and vote in 2019. Your boycott did not work in Anambra election and it wont work in 2019 election so drop it and come out and vote for a leader of your choice
What was the dollar exchange rate as at that time and now?
Or don't you know that Nigeria imports the bulk of her petroleum products? Which means the landing cost of the product is hugely influenced by the exchange rate.
Is it not in this Buhari's government that dollar went so high? What are you even talking about?
Jonathan left dollar at 199 naira, Buhari came and took it to 530 naira and later brought it down to the current 360 naira.
As far as i am concerned Jonathan was a huge failure, Buhari is not yet a success, we are still watching him. He is trying but we cant clap for him yet. He needs to try more..
Isaacvin: why would a reasonable youth want to join a cult?
Shame on Ikwere youths. Cultism is their major occupation. Everyday we wake up to hear of one killing or the other in various parts of Ikwerre land. Their two sons, Amechi and Wike are also slugging their own out. What kind of foolishness reigns amongst Ikwerre people?
Now that Biafra have not come and you(IPOB) people are not yet dead, kindly channel your effort and reasoning on how you can vote in credible leaders both at the states and federal posts to make things better for Nigeria.
As the campaigns kick off this 3018, kindly drop your sentiment and evaluate candidates(including PMB) with a balanced mindset so as to make a wise choice. Some of you hate Buhari so much that even if he does anything good you will still abuse him. Can you people remove that sentiment in you and make a wise choice. It must not be him but evaluate his performance with a balanced mindset. thanks.
Nairalanddist: I think innoson assembles after importation. No Nigerian company can produce cars. Pls this is not tribalism, it's common sense
you mean that the machines used in manufacturing cars overseas cannot be imported into the country and use it to manufacture cars in Nigeria just like other products(toothpaste, biscuits, cream, drinks etc) that are manufactured in Nigeria? na wa for una ooo.
When you and your OGA at the top enter office and 16 years of PDP, Nigeria was generating around 4,000MW and when Nigerians booted you out and sent your OGA back to his fishing village, Nigeria was generating around the same 4,000MW, ZERO improvement even after budgeting and looting $20 billion power fund.
Funny when crooks and lying hypocrites get mouth to talk when in fact they should be covering their ugly faces in shame..
You always sound pathetic like a Shameless f00l. Under Buhari power has gone to zero level sometime and below 4000 mw several times but you won't mention that. Both Jonathan and Buhari are bunch of failures so stop deceiving yourself.
the typical IBO man will never take responsibility for anything.
yes the north is very backward (in education and other indices) but the south is the major reason Nigeria has a bad image abroad. if any Nigerian commits a crime abroad, it will be a southerner 9 out of 10 times!!! yes!!!
if it's fraud in the UK I can always guess it's a Yoruba man.
if it's prostitution then it is definitely an Edo person.
if it's drugs then it's definitely an ibo man.
yet we all blame the north for the bad image of the country when the south is solely responsible for our crimes abroad!!!
it's time for us all to fvcking accept we ruined this country collectively. then we can have a round table discussion where those that want to leave can do so and those that want to stay and make it work can do so.
morereb10: I keep saying no matter what the advanced world think Nigeria is and regardless of how rotten we think of ourselves, we still have lovely, truthful and conscientious Nigerians living in this country. Not everybody is covetous which we like to think is the true color of a typical Nigerian.
Someone just shared a story of how a man left his phone number behind after bashing his car in his absence and suffice to say, it happened in Lagos of all places.
The car owner shared this on Twitter; I still can’t believe there are still normal people in this new Lagos, Someone hit my car where i parked and wrote his number on the dusty trunk.
I did something like this in 2012 though mine was just a scratch on someone's car parked in a street. I came out and asked all the shops around there if they knew where the owner of the car entered and none of them knew. I quickly collected pen and paper from one of the shops and wrote a short apology note and my phone number to the owner and stuck it at the driver's door so that he/she can see the note and call. me. In the morning of the next day i went back to that very spot to check if the owner can be located and i didnt see the car again and nobody called me till now.
I prefer to be honest and sincere than to be dubious. Honesty gives me joy. To God be the glory because of his grace in my life. Its not by my power.
Duru1: I do not know if I should address you as man, woman or transgender. There is a psychiatric distort when a person cannot discern whether he/she is a male or female. Anyway, you have shown you are ignorant of the fact and you do not belong to this discourse as shown from the above post. The issues of seaports are exclusive domain of the federal republic of the zoo called Nigeria. I contributed to the financial coffers that saw Imo airport as reality when the dumbass federal government of Nigeria did everything to stop it and confiscated the airport at completion. The so-called federal government even refused the airport to be constructed into international standard. The best way to hide one's ignorance is to keep quiet.
Don't mind the ignorant noise maker . Imo airport that was built by Imo people is what he is claiming that FG built. What a shame of a person he is.
The launching for the fund was done in Owerri stadium. I remember one lady donated two thousand naira that day. Iwuanyanwu donated 500k FG took over it when the airport became operational.
Do you enjoy the hate being heaped in your tribe nationwide? Why don’t the igbos limit migration? It is a simple issue really. Develop the region to mitigate migration. Why is this so hard for igbos to adopt?
Hate is the only thing you people can do and nothing more. Meanwhile the boy will be there making small small money and saving it to own a Shop. In some years to come he makes big, build a beautiful house in his village and in that Edo. He marries, train his children in school. A good number of successful igbos started like that.
Keep hating and talking, that's the only thing you can do. Keep deceiving yourself that Igbos migrate to other places because they feel their land is not developed. Some of you have not been to Igbo land before. You just come to nairaland and make noise. Keep making noise.
okway2: Are your governors not aware of all these? Are you leaders slaves that they cannot (under 16 years of PDP rule) fight for a “fully functional” port?
This Is the only reasonable point you made here. GEJ was there for almost 6 years without dealing with the issues. Quite a shame and very annoying.
superstar1: This rubbish is coming from pigidiot that the twin cesspit of Aba and Onitsha are in his region
The same Lagos this thing is condemning is the London of omo y1bo. I am sure another 50buses of Libyan returnee looking refugees would have arrived in Lagos from SE this morning.
Bunch of ingrates, envious wailers, children of hatred and sons of perdition.
Albert Obasi have already shown that he can't do anything than to talk. Likewise the Yorubas here who continues to make noise about igbos without taking any action. Quite a shame. If you can't chase igbos out of your so called land then shame on you.
Unfortunately the land u call your own is not yours That's why you can't chase igbos out. If all you can do is to make noise here about igbos and your so called land then SHAME ON U PEOPLE.
nobaga: It took a while but Yoruba youths have started paying Igbo Youths back in their own coin.
This may be strange to those of us that came of age before both youths. The days of accommodation is gone, pity!
Forget that talk. You can't do anything to Igbos. We have a never dying spirit that makes us to survive. Igbos dont look out for beauty of a land before they go there. They look out for opportunities in a land before they go there that's why you find them in very remote areas. After the devastation of the Civil war we still came stronger and better. Don't deceive yourselves that u can do anything to igbos.
1. Gej couldnt pay fg salaries for 3mnths before leaving office, pmb has paid all d backlogs, even from before gej!
2. Contractors abandoned all projects, for lack of funds, even a 90%(abj-kad rail), was abandoned, pmb has paid n his paying all arrears n work has resumed.
3. Even with Adesina's success, farming has never been this attractive, since d pyramids dissappeared
4. Low oil prices, no problems, can u imagine what would happen, should pmb use d $7b increase in our external reserves to defend d naira! In hard times, he's still saving?! Thats what all motivational/success books preach!
If u cant wait for change to manifest, vote atiku!
In just 2yrs, he has suppassed all gej's achievements of six years, that should count for something!
I know n accept pmb aint perfect, only fools, expect that from a mortal(thats why, fools fall in luv). He can n should be better.
But, from d stable of our present leaders, he's preferable, as d younger ones havent built enough pedigree to challenge d old guard!
The corruption that took place during the administration of GEJ was too much and very annoying. That was why some of us supported Buhari despite the verbal attacks from our people. My point is that if Buhari fails to give us a better economy than what we saw in the past then he has failed.
Any economic improvement that anybody is talking about in this government that does not translate to making prices of goods and services affordable to all Nigerians is story story.
If Buhari takes the priice of dollar from 200 naira to 530 naira and later brings it down to 360 naira we cant call this economic improvement.
If Buhari takes a bag of rice from 8000 naira to 22000 naira and later brings it down to 15000 naira we cant call it improvement pls.
when Buhari came to power, electricity supply improved so much, then in 2016 it driopped to zero then started coming up but it has not even reached the level it was when they came in newly so we cant call this improvement.
Fashola is a hard worker but i am surprised he hasnt done the magic of returnning power to what he did when he came in as minister. Theoretical claims of economic improvement is not what we need now, we want to see it in reality.
I have people in the FG services and none of them was owed 3 months salary before GEJ left so get the info right pls.
Again not all contractors have been mobilised to site pls. A lot of FG roads are still abandoned as i am writing this.
I debinked yout nonsense with facts so counter with facts, not your ignorant and emotional ipob boring sentiments..
. Which fact? Useless fact. Facts that have not reduced the price of things in the market. Facts that have not improved power supply in reality, only on paper. Facts that have caused people to die of severe hunger. Facts that have improved the economy only on paper but not in reality Facts that made life miserable for Nigerians for almost 3 years of Buhari’s administration.. Satanic fact from a useless person Get thee behind me Satan. Keep your useless facts to your useless self and your cohorts.
You are nothing but another ipb masquerading as PMB supporter hence your ignorant, illogical and deceptive rant
1. If you are going to blame PMB for the Naira, you should at least explain to us the relationship between our depleted and looted foreign reserves which affects exchange rates and how it determines currency value.
2. You should also explain to us what oil was selling for under GEJ/$100/barrel Vs $27 when PMB took over
3. To say things were better under PMB was just gross ignorance because even though oil was selling for $100+/barrel under GEJ, the same GEJ was borrowing hundreds of billions to pay workers salary so exactly how was things better?
4. Former Hon. Min. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who doubled as the Coordinating Minister of the Economy -- claims that HE Former Pres. Jonathan, GCFR administration lacked political will to save.
5. That was GEJ's finance minister who gladly threw GEJ under the bust and specifically blamed him for our economic predicament because she knew what happened even though she participated and was also responsible.
6. What I despise is ignorant and deceptive people like you posting rubbish on the internet simply because you think Nigerians have amnesia or you can just shit on our intelligence as if we were not here in Nigeria when the institutional and government-sponsored looting and stealing coordinated by GEJ was going on or when GEJ himself looted billions of dollars and gave it to Dasuki to share with his cronies.
7.Is our economy growing or not, yes it is.
8. Is our foreign reserve growing or not? Yes, it is even though GEJ and his gang of thieves depleted it.
9. Is our ECA reserve growing or not, Yes, it is.
10. Is the power situation and generation improving or not? Yes, it is
11. Are there more capital projects ongoing ij Nigeria today including the ones abandoned by GEJ? Yes, there are.
Back to the ipob thing, ipob is not ethnic-related, it's ideology, mentality and manner of thinking and rationalizing and everything you posted says are the same ignorant and backward ipob rant and mentality because your initial post was based on ignorance or just deception and lack of understanding per how we arrived at this horrible situation.
It took 16 years to bastardize and loot Nigeria dry so expecting a mirraculous turn around in less than 3 years says a lot about your own flawed sense of expections and puerile maner of thinking.
You really need to confine your elementary talk about Nigeria to your fellow ipobs.
Oga pls carry your useless long story filled with lies away from here. Since APC took over it has been from one silly story to the other to defend your incompetence. Abeg comot for road.
we have heard all that you said here over and over. Are you people not tired of repeating this your silly story for almost three years now?
both you and PDP are bunch of liars and deceiviers so shut up. Nigeria's economy is improving on paper yet the prices of things are still very high, what kind of stupld improvement is that?
Even at the official price of 145 naira per litre fuel is still scarce and now goes for 160 naira. Is that not a shame on you and your co travellers?
APC has displayed such a high level of clueless attitude ever witnessed in this country and you have mouth to talk. One person in the government will say one thing now, the next minute anoother person in the same government will deny the statement. Buhari spent six months shopping for ministers only to come out with the same old people who are enemies of progress.
one person will announce the sack of someone in government now, the next minute another person will come out to cancel the sack. In a country that is supposed to have a president?
People are committing suicide due to the harsh economy and you are here telling me stupld story.
Power supply has improved only in your dream you pathological liar. You are a disgrace to Nigeria.
As for the one of calling me an ipob, i dont need to waste my time with you. It is obvious that you want to use it to derail the thread. Quite a shame on you.
Sure Jonathan's government was full of corruption but its unfortunate that the man i believe has integrity have not been able to make much positive impact. Very pathetic
RZArecta: Against 2019 elections and in preparation for a fresh set of big big lies, APC's official twitter handle is deleting all it's tweets like the broom waving witches and wizards (apologies to Chibuike Amaechi) they are. Thunder scatter APC Nigeria AMIN
CharlotteFlair: So because you think he is Igbo, it's impossible he surported the dulard like he claims? Are there no APC members in SE? Ngige, Okorocha, Onu and even my own mother, yes my own biological mother, a great woman leader of immense political sagacity in her circle of influence (I warned her then though), but she was overcome by sheer ego to teach Kema Chikwe a bitter lesson! Today, she and her cohorts in APC are regretting their actions.
Don't mind him. Even Buhari acknowledged that he got 5% votes from South east yet this guy finds it hard to believe the words of Buhari as depicted in his post here.
If he truly trust Buhari he should ve known that some of us Igbos are his supporters. But like your mum, i am tired of waiting for the promised change to come.
However, i need to change my support and give it to a more experienced leader.
Pangea: It took me only a month after inauguration to realise my mistake and you are just waking up? What kind of slumber is that?
I needed to give him some time to see if he will get his acts together and move Nigeria forward but he hasnt done that.
The country is so polarised both on ethnic lines and religion now more than the past administrations. His tribalistic tendences are quite on the high side and this is not healthy for the progress of this country.
I still have my respect for him but i must say he lacks leadership qualities and should not come back in 2019.
Sapiosexuality: I honestly think you can't be morally upright and enlightened and still support Buhari at this point. It takes a high level of intellectual paralysis and moral erosion to support the man.
I can see you are not ready yet. You, on purpose, placed yourself in a dungeon and you are not ready to come out. Just take a look around us, think, reason and be honest to yourself.
I knew he was a dunce before the elections only that I never thought it would be this bad. You expected a man who did not work on himself for over thirty years to make a country work.
Buhari is a fiction. That man against evil and loving Nigeria doesn't exist. See how he handled the Fulani herdsmen issue, Buratai and other corruption issues, medical leave, transparency and stop lying to yourself.
Read this article to start the reprogramming process:
OP, point of correction pls. Yoruba muslims have never killed igbos. I ve never heard it before so take note and correct the false info. Iit is the Hausa muslim that kill.and it may not even be Hausa rather the fulani.
It appears the Fulani are the ones creating bad names for hausa. Thats what i think but i may be wrong.
deomelo: Ogbeni ipob, please shove your ipob made up story and stop thinking people are so dumb and stupid to fall for your fake Buhari supporter nonsense.
If you were not stupld enough you should have also brought out my past posts where i battled ipob. Go through my profile and you will see lots of them and stop being ldiotlc. It will be a shame on you if you dont do that.
Also be courageous and sincere enough to bring out posts where i defended Buhari. There are many of them in my profile since 2015 till date. Shame on you if you dont do it.
The post you brought out was my defence to someone who called me afonja because i was against ipob. It appears you are so silly and confused not to know that my past post that you quoted here is already against your mischief,
It is obvious that you have nothing to prove my points against Buhari wrong hence your resort to mess yourself up. Prove my points wrong and stop making a mess of yourself.
In 2015, i supported Buhari so dearly because i was tired of the corruption that went on in Jonathan's administration. ( I still abhor the corruption in that administration). I also saw Buhari as a man of intergrity who will give Nigerians the positive change they yearn for. It appears we were wrong. 3 years down the line i am tired of Buhari's lackluster administration for the following reasons-
1. Buhari took the naira from 200 naira per dollar to 530 and then down to 360 naira now. And people expect me to clap for him? No way. If he wants commendation let him bring it down to 150 or even the 200 naira that Jonathan left it.
2. As a result of the naira fall the prices of commodities went so high till today. A bag of rice went from eight thousand naira to twenty two thousand naira and now thirteen thousand naira. And people want me to clap for Buhari? Let him reverse it back to 8000 naira.
3. fuel went from 86 naira per litre up to 145 naira per litre and now 160 naira per litre. And people want me to clap for Buhari?
4. Nigerians have passed through hell since Buhari took over government and all that Buhari and his men could offer Nigerians is blame upon blame of GEJ government all the time. I AM JUST TIRED OF THIS BUHARI ADMINISTRATION. it is obvious he lacks the capacity to provide good governance.
5. Yea GEJ was corrupt but things were far much better in his administration than the Buhari i felt has integrity. I am still waiting to see the candidates that will come out to contest in 2019. Atiku may be corrupt but i think i have more reasons to vote for him than Buhari. Let me be watching first.
odiks: Journalists and supporters of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar were, yesterday, shocked after the former vice-president came out from a meeting with former President Ibrahim Babangida with a long face reflective of a RED CARD shown to his 2019 presidential aspiration.
Atiku, who arrived Minna airport to a cheerful reception from his supporters, breezed past the same supporters after a one and half hour closed-door meeting with Babangida during which the latter was said to have asked him to forget his presidential aspiration.
bravoluv83: The Joint Action Committee has directed the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Associated Institutions and National Association of Academic Technologists to resume strike on Monday. A letter to all the branch chairmen titled, ‘Directives to immediately resume the suspended strike,’ was signed by Samson Ugwoke, SSANU, Chris Ani, NASU and Sani Suleiman, NAAT. The JAC had claimed that only a ‘pittance’ was given to the three unions out of the N23bn ‘earned allowance’ released by the Federal Government to the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The union complained that the government failed to explain how the money was shared between ASUU and the non-academic teaching staff unions. The strike notice read, “Please, recall our last correspondence to you in which we informed you of the letter written to the Minister of Education rejecting the allocation made by the office of the Permanent Secretary and signed by the PS himself. “In the said letter, the Federal Government was given seven days to explain the criteria for the said allocation and do the needful. The deadline has elapsed without any response from the Federal Government of Nigeria. “In view of the above therefore, you are hereby directed to resume the suspended indefinite strike action as from 12 midnight, Sunday, 3rd December, 2017. “During this period, the strike shall be total and comprehensive.” When contacted for reaction to the claims by the union that they were cheated in the disbursement of the allocation, the ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said he was on the road and requested our correspondent to call back later.
Pls correct your headline. Its not ASUU o. It is the non academic staff that are on strike pls. Don't deceive people.
mgbadike81: ipob should conserve it's energy for the upcoming 2019 elections instead of responding to lai Mohammed, the voters turn out for the Anambra election was about 20% despite all the money shared. I believe we can reduce it to 10% in 2019 in almost all parts of south east and south south if we plan well. All those greedy Igbo politicians are already seeing the power of the rebellion from the masses.
Emma Powerfool is deceiving you people. Anambra election was successful Same number of voters in 2013 voted in this 2017 so where is the boycott you people made noise about? Boycott ko, girlcutter ni.
Igbos are funny people stop doing attache by force, both Yoruba and Igbos are neighbours to Niger deltans, Yoruba's in Ondo are also very close in proximity to Ijaw communities and Itshekiris.
I can agree you guys were on the same Political page with them during the last election but to be saying you share the same Umbilical cord is bullshit.
You only share the same Umbilical cord with the likes of Ikwerre and Anioma in Delta and Rivers states.
The Map of South Nigeria is there for you to confirm
Pls be wise. You should say - some Igbos are funny...
Don't lump those of us who are not in support of what he wrote together with him and his IPOB gang.
IkpuMmadu: The IGBO and the NIGER DELTA PEOPLES SHARE THE SAME UMBILICAL CHORD by WATER BEFORE OIL & ALSO BY OIL
Water, a natural gift of nature, the most valuable resource and liquid substance is the common and natural umbilical chord that connects the Niger river waters of the Igbo land to the Delta trubutaries of the Niger Delta peoples into the Atlantic ocean. A natural and mutual relationship that benefited them like the rest of the sinning world as partners during the Atlantic slave trade that brought them and the world blood money.
But the White man came and put a knife on their relationship when he chose to break the triangle and the tripartitite relationship. The deal that required that the white traders stay on shore to receive the cargoes, the article of trade sourced by the Igbo, sold to the Niger Deltans who in turn sold to the White slave traders who in turn exported the human cargoes back to their own countries as labourers for the development of their own plantations and nations.
Water was God's divine natural resource, the first handshake, the firat inter-connecting channel, the first natural binder between the Igbo and the Niger Deltans before the other binder, before another binder, a liquid natural substance, OIL otherwise called BLACK GOLD was made crude and used to divide the Igbo and the Niger Delta peoples by another third party from the North and West that did know how to be good neighbours.
They came to be their mutual enemies again like the Whites to put a knife between them again after the Nigeria-Biafra war (1967-70); shortly after independence till things fell apart between them; and things have no longer been the same again. Their waters have remained poisoned ever since.
THE IGBO AND THE DELTA PEOPLES MUST END THEIR UNNATURAL WAYS WITH EACH OTHER as their enemies would have them remain. They should remain wise like the WISE MEN OF THE EAST of what became Nigeria that they were in precolonial and colonial Nigeria before their natural relationship was poisoned by third parties. THEY MUST FIND EACH OTHER AGAIN, THE IGBO AND THE DELTA PEOPLES FIND THEIR NATURAL WAYS TO EACH OTHER AGAIN.
Chike Ofili
We are brothers to those in Niger Delta who agree that they are igbos and that they are our brothers. The rest of them in niger delta are not our brothers, they are just our neighbours. Forget about the silly claims that Nnamdi Kanu was making. God punish him.
We have been making great progress and successes in life by God's grace as igbos, without any silly niger delta attachment. We are very okay with the way God is helping us. Pls Keep your Niger Delta whatever to yourself. Thank you.
