ymummy234: from my experience - i used both FD bank statements (not all my accounts cos the documents was to large and the least it could reduce up to was 6mb to still make sense- otherwise it wont be legible) - The letter from the bank was quite difficult and it may need you to escalate it to their manager or speak with your account officer. For my GTB account - the letter was quite impressive and the only information it did not have was the indemnity part which was issued using a separate letter - all bank balance was stated - date of opening was stated - average balance can be seen in the statement of account. The best way to request your reference letter from the bank is to go formal with them - i wrote a formal letter detailing info i wanted. Same thing for my other banks. Try as much as possible to get reference letter from the bank biko. Thanks so much |

Boss13: Get the 6 month statement of account, a covering letter from your Bank in their template and submit the damn thing as P.A. And if you are a fidgeting type, just explain using LOE that your spouse is submitting their account as POF.
Who should submit this document - YOU The Primary Applicant. Your spouse cannot submit this, your spouse is not even the one applying.
It is better your spouse submit their account, which shows more transparency, than them transferring the money to you. @Boss13, just wondering if the bank's covering letter is still mandatory if one is using largely FD or TB for the pof? Thanks |

Anyway don't specify Nysc as paramilitary or government. This issue has been handled severally here by people who were affected by it. It leads to longer processing times. Many thanks |

Boss13: That will be good. On the other hand, I don't know if CIC is familiar with the Nigerian transition from Education to Employment process in Nigeria and the need for Mandatory 1-year service. I know a lot of applicants indicate this, but I don't know if they are aware. Not to derail the trail though, is it advisable to include the NYSC period as a paramilitary service period? I have been racking my brain to recall my Commandant's name though.....e don tay na! |

Boss13: Please let's try as much as possible to avoid gift deed when gathering our funds. This gift deed issue is well known to Indians and the VOs know how to tackle it. The reason for this is to avoid tension whenever Nigeria applications come through - so that those who come after us can also be successful without we ruining their chances.
In India, CIC agents visit organisations to confirm if an applicant actually works there because of many fake applications. Once the trend for Gift deeds increases in Nigeria, it will begin to raise suspicion. Nigerians are not known for gift deeds. There are ways to manoeuvre POF.
A similar case to this, was the change in supervisor signing on a plain sheet of paper. It wasn't the case previously in Nigeria. Supervisors could sign on branded letterhead and include his contact details. However, CIC was getting negative confirmation from these reference letters because rather than call your supervisor, they will call your HR and HR will deny ever issuing such reference. Also, if you think CIC agents can't visit, think again. CIC agents/lawyers visit Alagbon to confirm from the criminal registry if you have any criminal case. They can run the same template too, but the problem is the delay in time to process each Nigerian application.
Also, please confirm the occupation and address on your marriage certificate, for those who are married, before you submit. Your marriage certificate should not indicate a different work occupation and your reference letter and employment letter stating a different thing. This will result to delay and if you cannot convince them - rejection. Again, if this is someone's issue and he now uses a gift deed - AHA! This person would work harder to convince them otherwise. Nice post there bro! 2 questions pls: 1. On the issue of reerence letters when HR is not yielding, are you advising that even if one's supervisor should have access to company's letter head, he/she should not use it rather write on plain paper? 2. On the PoF issue using spouse's account, is there any need for the accompanying spouse to write any declaration allowing the PA to use the instruments for PoF? Thanks |

Oh and one more thing, if you're already here in Canada and are still job hunting and your experience is in the financial services industry, let me know so I can give you some interview tips and tricks. Trust me, many of the interview questions they ask are constantly repeated.
Good luck! Great to have you back. Please which province is really good for banking/financial services jobs? All? |

Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Hope15: 3:44pm On May 17, 2017 |
My estimation was based on the fact that about 1,710 guys already scored 421 and higher, leaving CIC to get about 1,300 from the 411 - 420 group. 40manlappy: If they are looking at issuing at least 3,000 ITAs today, it could even be lower. Of course, we must remember that more people would have joined the pool between May 13 and now. Otherwise, I would have projected 410
They have summarized it by stating "The score distribution may change as people submit new profiles and other profiles expire." |

Please loud this quote more, this will calm lots of nerves and tongues!! 2n2k: Saraki and Lawan are right. Ohuabunwa is wrong.
Section 145 of the constitution does not require president to write to transmit power to the VP. That is automatic once he writes to go on leave.
"Where the President transmits to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, a written declaration that he is proceeding on vacation or that he is otherwise unable to discharge the functions of his office, until he transmits to them in written declaration to the contrary, such functions shall be discharged by Vice-President as Acting President"
So you can see that wordings of the president's letter is irrelevant so long as he writes that he is on vacation. |

You are quite right. However, the referendum should depict the 'real' area we are talking about na. The fact that the supposed map still remains contentious by the 'constituents' still speaks volume. Let there be a universally certified map (in which all the included tribes have agreed to coexist together), and then I think the referendum can be called on that framework. What you see Osibanjo do is a credit to his principal, Buhari. All his actions are directed by Buhari. So don't make it look like Osibanjo is doing something else different from what Buhari would do. Moreover,it's the turn of northerners to rule, and they must complete their tenure. |
