Please has anyone applied for Canada study visa outside of Nigeria ? I am confused on how to go about it especially my statement of account , since I am applying as a resident in Dubai, I am going to use there police certificate, do my medical here, and even IELTS here and I have a valid Resident ID card, but I don’t have a bank account over here, but as a a self sponsored I have the money required in my Nigeria account , does it make sense if I apply from Dubai and use a statement of account from a Nigeria bank?

I think you should order your notes to confirm the reasons. As I heard the rejection letter is usually generic.

I am preparing to write my IELTS, please can anyone that has done it before share me some pdf or whatever that can be helpful in passing it!
And is it compulsory to order for GCMS notes since I my student visa was rejected 6 months ago based on me not leaving Canada at the end of my study because of my personal assets and financial status.

Please after An applicant received PPR, how many days does he/she has to submit a the passport ?

Anyone here remember that my female friend that I said we applied together last year and even did our biometrics November 2020 and my own study visa was declined this January while she was called for her medical same time and she did her medical in February I said her application has been on hold since then( over 4 months) no messages from IRCC and just today PPR dropped! Really happy for her because the wait alone na die, she didn’t even wait for an hour before she send her passport through DHL lol
What I just notice is if IRCC requests for IELTS and mybankstatement please try and provide it even though it’s optional, I think it gives an applicant a 90% chance of getting PPR
I didn’t provide it and my application was declined while she did IELTS and provided the mybankstatement , might not be the reason while mine was turned down but I think it will really help a lot to provide it.

Your friend told you the reality of things, but I don't think you should delay applying for your visa on that ground. You can always make your decision when to travel to Canada when your visa application is approved. COVID put some strain on job availability, but there are still some jobs in high demand, most especially essential services, like retail outlets, courier, health services etc. Most of these jobs will be menial jobs that you can start with to sustain yourself while you study. The country is planning gradual re-opening so hopefully, things get into shape when you get into Canada

Is it true? Is there someone that entered Canada this year with a study visa? Or it might be in his own state, what do you guys think please

check and meet their requirements , choose a progressive course that relates with ur bsc and write a statement of intent/purpose accordingly and lastly the decision is theirs , they'll notify u

Hi @horlarJP…. Most schools (not all) require application fees to accompany your application.

Oh God I am getting confused, the visa fee is the same as the application fees to get admission into a DLI school right? Like if I want to start a study visa application , I need to get admission into a DLI school first, is getting admission into a school free or I have to pay and then I know I will surely pay for visa fee.

If you've ever done biometrics before, then you don't need to pay for it again ,as it is valid for 10years; just the application fee of $150cad or equivalent would do.

Omoh I have a long way to go before knowing all this… I am kinda used to the Canadian thread but they declined my study visa application this year January but it seem it was due to my inability to really provide the $10k Canadian dollar statement of account. Since you're in Dubai, you can apply from there, you don't have a problem. It's the German embassy in Naija that is moving mad jare.

To me Canada is a good option but very expensive.
USA are not even giving visa appointment now

All the same you can apply from there if your residency is still valid.

Both has there pros and cons… Germany vs Canada is very debatable, I wouldn’t even chose one over the other … but financially Canada is really expensive tho

Poland is another cheap alternative too. They school fee and the opportunity to work is there.

Most people that studied in Poland leave there as soon as they finish there studies and even I have friends that will leave school in there first year and migrate to Germany somehow because they share the same border but it’s risky … all in all don’t think it’s a good choice even though it’s cheap, it’s not even in the Schegen zone
