Rain & Bad Road Denied Students from Sitting for JAMB

About 45 students residing around Onihale, Ogungbade, Agoro, Ijoko and its environs going to Alagbole, Oke Aro, Ajuwon Akute for their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (Jamb) examinations missed their 7am exam slots.

Saturday Sun gathered that the student missed the exams yesterday as a result of heavy rainfall and bad roads. They were all stranded at Agbado Crossing.

According to one of the stranded student, Adekunle Mary Adesola, she had left her home since 5 am to meet up for the exam but could not get transportation.

“I woke around 5am and set out 30mins later, yet, I didn’t make it to the centre due to the heavy downpour I wasn’t able to get to the centre on time. There was not even a commercial motorcycle rider to convey us,” she stated.

Another stranded student, Oniyide Michael, cried her eyes out. She was writing the exam for the first time and thought such omen was bad for her.

“I miss the exam because of the rain, and I was coming from Ilaro, I was in the bus since 5am. Our bus go stocked in a pothole for about three hours,” she stated.

A lady in her late 20s, Taiwo Taiwo, said that this was the last chance her parent gave her.

“This is the last chance and I think I have lost it. I have written this exam three times and not do well. I did my best to prepare for this but to be met and disappointed by bad road and rainfall. The heavy rainfall and the road made me to miss my exam, there was no bus and the road was bad and even the centre, Bluefield academy United Estates, Alagbole,” she stated.

When Saturday Sun reached out to JAMB image-maker, Fabian Benjamin, he sarcastically replied that the student should apply next year.

“Oh! sorry. next year let them be near their centres,” he stated

Politics / Re: Where Is Lagos Sunburn $8B ($364m) Yacht Bought In 1999? by Horlazuncanmi(m): 5:50am On Jan 20, 2022
NaijaCowFarm:
The Sunborn Yacht Hotel was Custom built in 1999 and refitted in the year 2002; it combines contemporary class and comfort being 18.4m wide, 106.5m in length and 17.6m in height from the sea level. The edifice with a total of six decks and an interior space of approximately 5000 sq.m will provide a breathtaking ambience for corporate guests, conference delegates, wedding parties and leisure guests to hold their exclusive events when operational.

However, as at today, no one can say precisely what has happened to the yacht and the N8 billion Lagos tax payers money that went into it.

Question is WHERE is the N8B Yacht? N8B in 1999 was equivalent to $364M

Is time to ask questions

RealityShot:
there are many other reasons for re-electing BUHARI.

Boko Haram is NOT our only problem!
The is a massive dwindle in our country's main business;
Crude oil.

Without adequate funds, how can anyone buy equipment for war?

What of salariés?
What of IPOB?
What of kidnapping?
What of THE MIGHTY MILITANTS?
Etcetera etcetera!

You want him to fail on all fronts and win over Boko Haram abi?
By then you & I and many others will be broke and hungry ; is that what you want?

HOW ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE:
power sharing arrangement?

If you remove Buhari's govt. You will put Atiku who plans to stay for 8 years, you will effectively be putting the North in power for 3+4+8 = 15 years!

It's bad enough that they will get excess of 8 yrs if BUHARI stays another 4yrs. (3+4+4 =11 Years)

NIGERIANS SHINE YOUR EYES shocked

VOTE BUHARI for Continuity!

#IstandWithBuhari
#4+4

You are a poor student of history, tell me since 2003 when northerners refused to present someone for the Presidential election, Buhari contested against OBJ, YARADUA and even a GEJ after it has been agreed rusty a southerner should be the President. continue deceiving yourself if you think Northerners won't contest 2023

What a life we live in in this country
Politics / The Irony Of Life And Nigeria Politician by Horlazuncanmi(m): 4:46pm On Mar 10, 2018
Rich man marries and have 4 children. Poor man marries and start mass production of children that he can't afford to train because the only thing that gives poor man joy is the body of his wife.
The country has beaten him to the level that sex is his only idea of enjoyment.

Politicians steal your money, sleep with your wife and girlfriends and sister, make sure you don't go to school, even when you struggle to, he makes sure you don't finish on time let alone getting a job.

He sends his children to the best schools abroad so they will take over from him when he is done playing with your future.

He initiates a poverty alleviation program, videos himself cutting tapes during the mounting of an electric pole. He gives you N4000, bags of rice at rallies and arms to fight his opponents.

He paints the roads and puts Street lights when there are no light in your home. You hail him!

He spends millions on billboards of his fake projects, hires the best PR experts to keep you drooling with hunger and uninformed and keep on doing damages to your common sense. You defend him.

Second tenure, no jobs, no food, the N4000 has finished and the bag of rice wasting in the pit of your toilet. He must recover the billions he spent buying your votes. For he is not qualified to lead but you qualified him.

You start making use of the guns he bought you. You kill the poor like yourself who is suffering the effects of the N4000 and bag of rice that you took. You try to Kidnap his friends, their police orderlies fire back at you.

His friends tell him that there is insecurity in town and it will affect their mobilization for him for second term.
He shouts ahhhh, second tenure is like the second round of sex that puts one to sleep after, except, perhaps, he works for vivid entertainment or one of those Hollywood porn industries.
He complains of lack of security to the commissioner of police and General Officer Commanding, Air Officer commanding or the Flag Officer Commanding.

He spends millions hosting them. They tell him what to do. By now, you have become a threat.

He buys even a bigger gun for the police and the military plus operational vehicles.

He pays for radio and TV jingles to warn you.

You rob, you die. You protest, you die. You stay at home, you die of starvation.

Then, you get recommended to a church and since you can't pay tithes, pastor turns you into an errand boy.
He sends you to buy biscuits for his children, wash pants for his wife and clean his cars.

You sweep the church for free while awaiting your heavenly reward while the pastor fly private jets and drive flashy sedans.

You are happy that your pastor is rich and argue for him in midst of your friends.

He runs to the UK at the slightest symptoms of headache but prays for you when you are sick and tells you to bring your sick mother to church for prayers instead of taking her to hospitals to waste money.
She dies and he tells you that it was God's will while his mother has been in the UK for months receiving the best treatment that tithes can buy.

He buys a new land for a new church branch, you help to carry blocks and turn concrete, then collect blessings as reward. You are happy to be working for the salvation of your soul, heaven will pay.
The pastor lives his heaven on earth.

The new church building is completed on your sweat.

He invites the president, governor, senator, house of representative member and every other person who made sure that you are poor by design.

The whole area is policed with guns and armored cars. You are comfortably seated at the back while straining your neck to see who and who came.

The president and governor and senator plus their contractor friends donate hundreds of millions for the new church while you cheer from the back.

The food they shared didn't get to you but you are happy the president and governor and senator came to your church. You even brag to others of how your pastor is well connected.

You get home, hunger Knocks angrily on the belly door, your neighbor bails you out while you wait for heaven to pay.

10 years on the jobless job, pastor's children have been sent abroad for studies. Age is no longer on your side, pastor hooks you up with another aunty that sweeps the church for free with no education just like you and Weds you both on a Friday evening church service and you are happy. Your children starts the cycle all over again.

What is the difference between an Ordinary Thief (OT) & a Political Thief (PT) ?*

*1)* The *Ordinary Thief* steals your money, bag, watch, gold chain etc.;
But the *Political Thief* steals your future, career, education, health & business!

*2)* The hilarious part is: The *Ordinary Thief* will choose whom to rob; But you, yourself chose the *Political Thief* to rob you.

*3)* The most ironic one: Police will chase and nab the *Ordinary Thief;* while the Police will look after and protect the *Political Thief!*

That’s the *travesty cum irony* of our current society!

Nairaland / General / 15 Types Of Students You Must Find In Your Department by Horlazuncanmi(m): 8:38pm On Oct 14, 2017
.
1. *THE Pastors*: These sets of students are always "spiritual" thus looking @ every other student in the class like sinners. Any small issue, they would start quoting bible!

2. *THE GURUS*: These one's are the first class students always reading at the slightest opportunity. At times, they make you look very unserious. They hardly joke/play in the class. Always reading!

3. *THE SLEEPING MACHINES* : I have two of them in my department. Chaiii, they can sleep for Africa! Morning, afternoon or evening lectures, they are always dozing or sleeping like tomorrow no dey.

4. *THE DECEIVERS*: I call them the deceivers Coz these sets of students are the most playful in class. Always too playful either lecture is on or not. The deceiving part of it is these people read like teracopy behind close doors, have good grades yet always too playful. Most times, they appear unserious but let result come out,you would be shocked to see them with the best grades. The foolish students joins them playing not knowing what He does behind close doors.

5. *THE I.T.Ks*: These people can be very annoying! Always wanting their own opinion/suggestion to supersede others. They think they are always right whenever issues arises.

6. *THE COOL DUDE/BAE*: These ones hardly talks in class. They just enter ,sit, write and leave the class. They only tend to talk with just two people in a class of 80.

7. *THE WAVES STUDENT*: You only see these ones whenever there's mid semestet, pratical & exam. Sometimes, you wonder if truly they are students or government workers

8. *THE CAUSE TROUBLE*: At any slight opportunity, they don cause trouble. Fight with this, fight with that.

9. *THE SLAY QUEEN'S AND KINGS*: These ones take selfie in class as if there father is the owner of Funai.. Whether lecture is on or not, there hand is always up like dead cockroach taking selfie.

10. *THE OLODOs*: These ones no sabi anything! They can even tell you to spell their name for them or remind them their matric number. Sitting with such people during exams can be frustrating. They beg you to spell for them even after telling them answers!

11. *THE BACK SITTERS*: No matter the circumstances, these ones will always sit at the back. Some even have permanent sit they assigned to themselves. Its not asif they are dull, they are just addicted to back seats...

12. *THE FUNNY BONES*: A day without them in class, is always boring. They can make joke out of anything! Even lecturers are aware of their humorous attitudes. No matter how the whole class is serious or tensed up,they would always make you laugh.

13. *LATE COMERS*: Morning,afterno
on or evening, they are always late to lectures so much that lecturers know them as serial late comers.

14. *TALKATIVES*: Football,fashio
n,politics, celebrities, movies, lecturers, would always have something to talk about. They hardly keep quiet. They can talk from now till rapture comes.

15. *THE WOMANIZERS*: These one's would wear their Christmas clothes to class, licking there lips and drawing the ladies attention like HB pencil.
