He's not the first to migrate without his family and majority still remember home and send upkeep, work towards their family joining them.
Migrating is very expensive and doing it as a family of 5 is x5 of the expenses.
Perhaps he is only able to source funds for himself at the moment
Unless he's told you that he won't look back and cater for his kids when he travels, you should calm down.
If he has parents, leave the children with them when he travels if you can't afford to look after them.
At least they will sort out their feeding and accommodation. You can also have the chance to work and drop some upkeep for the kids too.
