i just started using wordpress. i noticed that after my url, i see a 'wp', that is example.com/wp I tried to remove the 'wp'and now im seeing 'Error 404 - Page Not Found.'

You are seeing your URL /wp because u installed WordPress inside a directory named WP.

Uninstall WP from your cpanel and reinstall it in your root dir .

Though i am using free blogger platform which has .com, but the blog has really progress alot. Within one week and three days of blogging, i have 3.1k users and 6.8k pageviews, up to 15 comments.

I have also recieve alot of mail by students requestin for advice. I am really happy i have making impact to nigerian students. I do get my traffic from facebook groups. I am only lacking one thing which is the template.

Though the template of my blog is a neat one but i need someone to help me wit a professional template. As for the sub domain, i am planning to buy a custom domain when i have some cash.

I saw it now and then: if you want to blog about entertainment, become an entertainment person. Go and attend events, mix with the entertainment circiles, and get your own view, your own news. Take pictures of yourself with other entertainment circles, write about your own opinions. This is the only way you will be taken seriously as an entertainment blogger.

Chief, take to the first advise: use another payment solution.

Note: you want to receive payments from Paypal. The last I heard was Paypal accounts opened from Nigeria are limited to send(making payments) only. You can't receive any payments via any of those kinda accounts.

Reason: our banking system is porous: our banking system is totally crap. Ours is where dead men have accounts and can make ATM withdrawals.


Thats why either opening a totally foreign paypal account or incorporating another payment platform is your best option. Beware, there are some folks that will tell you they can help you open a foreign paypal account through some underground means, you might get bitten at the end of the day. Its someone else's identity and financial record that will be used to verify the paypal account, and the day the Paypal auditors come calling, all the money you had in it will be lost.

Mind you, the paypal peeps know when and how those accounts get opened, so they will just wait for your payments to start rolling in before bringing down the hammer.
