I know you are looking for customers to patronize your business, but when you write tutorials, keep in mind that there are a million and million websites that might have published the same information and even more concrete than you have, so dont throw misleading information on their faces.

Im not angry, im speaking for a professional perspective here.

You publish an article about: How to create a blog with a Joomla website. One-third of the article is about Joomla and two-thirds is about tod-hosts services. The title and the content are grossly misleading.

I checked another of your articles titled: A step-by-step guide on how to create a WordPress blog; and you did the same thing.

My point is: allow the reader / visitor to be completely informed about the subject matter first. Let the information you provide be independent of the services you are rendering. You could as well write tutorials specific to your own services and put them in another category, perhaps to be featured in a list by the sidebar or somewhere.

If and when you are seen to be an expert on the free information you provide, they(visitors to your website, etc) will naturally make more enquiries, then it would be easy for you to convert them from mere visitors to potential customers and then to customers. They would eventually ask you to provide such services for them, without actually forcing information about the services down their throats.

The downside of all this is that if you take a summary of articles in a year and summarize them, continuing with your above strategy, your site wont be noted for tutorials and articles that can help the random visitor, your site would just keep on linking to itself. Its like this: what do you call someone who always talks about himself?

I contribute articles on a site where I have running to 4,500 tech articles all around wordpress, joomla, drupal,cms- tutorials, webdesign, hosting, etc., and over time I discovered that people who visited the site, and got help, made comments thanking me for the help I provided through my posts; and asked questions and suggestions about where to get these services from. By that time, it was easy to tell them I could provide such services.

its better you learn how to put your content out there in a professional manner, else your blog will end up as one of the millions out there which nobody revisits after the first visit.

Why should you publish a post, an assumed tutorial that teaches how to completely install wordpress; with only 2-images? the second image which happens to be the authors profile picture even bigger and overshaddowing the first. How many people out there would read your tutorial and really understand how to install wordpress? Your own picture is all they would remember.

What is your tutorial really about? yourself or wordpress?

Dont forget that there are a million and one fine structured tutorials on the same topic which you have published and except you tell the world something that nobody has heard before, the world really doesnt have the time to listen to you. You want to publish posts that make visitors schedule another visit, not get pissed off by reading trash.

Its not by force you write tutorials, but when you put out articles like that, its an indication that you have a lot to learn, and its better to do your homework first before publishing - else google will throw your site to the trash as far as search results and credibility of information are concerned.

Perhaps give it to an editor or have someone proof-read your articles before publishing.

1) it means you have to upgrade your hosting resources as they are presently inadequate.

2) it means you could have ignorantly used up the resources your present hosting company provided you when you uploaded huge files (pictures, video,) etc. If this is the case, this can be corrected by reducing your image-sizes, etc

3) it might mean you need to install compression tools, to help you manage your allocated space.

Wordpress is the last thing you have to worry about. Its so easy an everything works in a breeze.

If you have a wordpress account with joyok., you can purchase a godaddy domain of hellomyfriend.com and still map it to joyok.. The domain name and the wordpress account name does not have to be the same. THe major thing is your content. Content is king.

Your top-menu is not arranged properly. It is confusing.

https://www.todhost.com/blog/.... is your blog-portal where 'home' leads visitors back to your blog home page, and all other menu-items presently lead visitors to your hosting portal.

Thats wrong.

The categories in your blog portal (top-menu) should allow users to read articles from your blog and not be redirected to your hosting portal. I can see the categories for your blog on the sidebar. It should be the other way around.

The categories presently on your sidebar should be arranged as the top menu, while the present links on the top menu linking back to the hosting portal should be nicely featured on the sidebar.

Note, the average visitor to your site looks at the top menu first before the sidebar; so if he/she ends up confused, then of what use is the visit.

1) socials, ex: facebook: create a facebook page for the site, so that your facebook icon links to the fb page for the site and not your own personal fb page. The same applies to your other social accounts used on the site.

..... at the end of the day, you want the site to have its own identity.

2) can you make the background of the site a little darker, so the contrast will be more between the almost white backdrop and the white site background.

3) add a contact form

About CMS, I said that because everyone can get basic sites running, with Joomla, Wordpress, etc.....But when it comes to modifications, they can't do squat. I actually fancy the idea of using a CMS for an MVP, before going all in. (I'm open to suggestions).

I'm not a web dev, but I have a little idea about what and how I think it should be done, I also have 2 web devs, who act as advisers, and maybe you could be the third. lol

Anyway, the project is in line with classifieds. There's just a little twist to it.
