Politics / Re: Southwest Governors Seek Better Allocation From Federation Account. by HOTandCOLD(m): 11:41am On Feb 03, 2012
Good Job SW governors.

I believe all state governors should request for more allocation but must be ready to give up immunity or else more money will simply amount to more looting.

We must remove immunity from all office holders and start asking hard questions about our commonwealth.

Without fundamental changes to the constitution, every other thing is just window dressing.

Check the brain dead post from one of you casting aspersion on the whole igbo race because you think PointB is Igbo. Now, please tell me what tribe you are and i'll prove to you that your tribe is pathetic. I used to think that you were a reasonable fellow, now you've joined alj Harem in his hatred for igbos. Please tell me what this thread has got to do with the whole igbo race. stupid and ignorant animals roaming about the internet looking for who to bring down to their sorry mental state.

That old ship will need a lot of TLC, so we may need to import U.S crew to maintain the ship and don't forget, they'll have to paid in foreign currency. If it's a gift, well what can you do but take it and say thank you. I hope we didn't pay cash money for it because i remember Canada buying 3 fairly used submarines from britain and they are still lamenting about that 419 deal.

@ cap28 = not if you've already paid it back tenfold!

You know Nigerian leadership is terrible at keeping records (so they can chop and clean mouth like nothing happen). So, how can you claim that you've paid for it tenfold when you can't prove it? I think what nigeria was paying was the high interest payments that came with different loans.
Politics / Re: Hausas And Nupes Occupied Onitsha Before The Igbo by HOTandCOLD(m): 10:36am On Oct 07, 2011
This character called ALOY/EMEKA is a big time chameleon. ALways posting irritating and outrightly stupid stories,

Question: If Onitsha was occupied or discovered by Hausa and Nupe people, how was it possible for the obi of onitsha to be an Igboman. Exposing his ignorance further by saying that they were attending onitsha festival. That means there was a way of life even before he got there.

@ aloy/emeka: Please stop flying dangerous kites by posting inflammatory things that make people go hard at each other's tribe. I'm tired of your bull.shit threads.

What u wrote is not true. I know for a fact that the canadian prime minister at that time (TRUDEAU) refused to help Biafra because they were having problems with Quebec. They didn't want to support the push for independence in another country while denying Quebec it's independence. I know because it was revealed by Toronto star newspaper.

This giant of Africa mantra based on population is becoming a huge and costly joke. A small country like Jamaica without much natural resources is even producing world class athletes while we can't even tie our shoe-laces properly. I'm really scared for Nigeria because the confusion in the country right now is too much. WE CAN'T MANAGE ANYTHING
Nairaland / General / Re: Saudi Prince Beat His (black) Manservant Lover To Death In London by HOTandCOLD(m): 6:59pm On Oct 07, 2010
I know the prince can get away with this crime in Saudi Arabia anyday and anytime but with that kind of money and influence in london, i hope justice will be done fairly.
Nairaland / General / Saudi Prince Beat His (black) Manservant Lover To Death In London by HOTandCOLD(m): 6:55pm On Oct 07, 2010
A Saudi prince beat his manservant lover to death in a ‘ferocious’ sexually motivated attack at an exclusive London hotel, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.

Saud Abdulaziz Bin Nasir Al Saud, the grandson of the billionaire king of Saudi Arabia, murdered Bandar Abdulaziz after subjecting him to weeks of physical and sexual abuse, the jury was told.

The royal allegedly downed champagne and six Sex on the Beach cocktails before repeatedly punching his 32-year-old aide in the head, knocking out teeth and leaving him with severe brain injuries in the suite they shared at the five-star Landmark Hotel in Marylebone.

Trial: Al Saud, left, on his way to City of Westminster magistrates court in a prison van for his original hearing following the death of Bandar Abdulaziz, right
He also strangled Mr Abdulaziz with such force that he fractured bones in the servant’s neck and bit him on both cheeks in way that clearly had a ‘sexual connotation’, the court heard.

Al Saud, 34, allegedly tried to ‘cover his tracks’ by cleaning up blood from the attack before raising the alarm. He was said to have at first told police Mr Abdulaziz had suffered the injuries in a robbery.

The prince later changed his story and admitted killing his servant, but he denies murder and one count of grievous bodily harm with intent.

The pair arrived in London in December last year for the final leg of an extended world holiday. They had visited Prague, Milan, Marrakesh and the Maldives, apparently using the Spartacus International Gay Guide as a travel planner.

Al Saud enjoyed a party lifestyle in the capital, rising late and spending the afternoons shopping before eating out and going to nightclubs until the early hours.

He was spotted flirting with barmen and used male prostitutes at least twice during his stay, the jury was told.

The prince told police he was a ‘friend and equal’ of Mr Abdulaziz, the adopted son of middle-class Saudi parents, and that his aide travelled with him everywhere.

But the court heard how Mr Abdulaziz flew in economy while Al Saud went first class. It was also said the servant walked two steps behind his master and slept most nights on the floor of the hotel room they shared.

Jonathan Laidlaw QC, prosecuting, said: ‘Theirs was a far more complicated relationship than the defendant was prepared to admit and there was an abusive undertone to it.

‘Bandar was treated as an aide or servant and there was a far more sinister aspect to the defendant’s treatment of the victim.

‘He would beat Bandar up and the abuse was not confined to physical violence – there was a sexual element to it as well.’

Family: Al Saud's father Prince Abdulaziz, left, and brother Prince Faisal arriving at the Old Bailey yesterday
The jury saw CCTV footage of an earlier attack in which Al Saud bared his teeth as he subjected Mr Abdulaziz to blows with his fists and elbows in the hotel lift on January 22.

Mr Laidlaw said: ‘What is also evident from the victim’s behaviour is that he had become by this point almost entirely submissive.

‘He could not or did not at any stage offer any sort of resistance, attempt to fight back or even to raise his hand to the defendant.’

The attack left Mr Abdulaziz’s ear three times its normal size and requiring reconstructive surgery.

On February 14, the night of the alleged murder, the pair went for a Valentine’s meal before returning to their hotel just before midnight.

A guest in the room below recalled hearing raised voices and what sounded like furniture being knocked over.

The following afternoon Al Saud called a contact at the Saudi Embassy, who arrived at the room to find him ‘very upset and crying’ beside his lifeless servant.

Hotel staff recalled Mr Abdulaziz lying dead in the bed as Al Saud sobbed and told an unknown caller on the phone: ‘I don’t believe it.’

The Landmark Hotel: Where Mr Abdulazis' body was found
Police experts found forensic evidence from Al Saud on Mr Abdulaziz’s underwear. Despite this, the prince continued to deny he was gay.

But Mr Laidlaw said: ‘The evidence establishes quite conclusively that he is either gay or that he has homosexual tendencies.

‘There is clear evidence, over and above the bite marks, that there was also a sexual element to his mistreatment of the victim.’

A search of the prince’s laptop revealed he looked at gay massage and escort agency websites, jurors were told.

Al Saud’s mother is the daughter of King Abdullah. His father, Prince Abdulaziz, who is the nephew of the king, watched from the public gallery as his shaven-headed son sat in the dock following proceedings through an Arabic interpreter.

The trial continues.

@rethink: thanks for your wonderful contributions

Every thread (important or not) turns into an avenue for tribalist and bigots to crawl out and expose themselves. Being civil means if you're not absolutely sure of what you're saying about someone (not even a whole group of people) YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

Nigeria is spiralling out of control and nairalanders are busy abusing each other. If these is how some so-called educated people behave, then we are not ready yet to roll our sleeves to build the country.

BUT FOR NOW, WE ALL HAPPILY UNITED IN POVERT[

Good to know you're yoruba. But sorry to disappoint you that i have absolutely no intention of killing myself. I went to school in ogbomoso and Ekiti state, so i'm comfortable with yorubas, unlike you. I have yoruba cousins and in-laws from other parts of nigeria. You need to get out from your comfort zone and stop hating igbos/people so much, its for your own good. I wonder how u got to america with so much hatred in your heart?

From your profile, you're supposed to be a 26yr old hispanic male in the USA, right?
according to your profile:

I believe you are a Nigerian coward conveniently hiding behind another race, while constantly spewing and preaching tribal hatred. YOUR POSTINGS REVEAL YOUR TRUE THOUGHTS IN YOUR PRIVACY. newsflash: The IGBOS are not going anywhere and you'll just have to put up with them or kill your miserable, pathetic, sorry self.

Sports / Are The Super Eagles Being Held To A Higher Patriotic Standard? by HOTandCOLD(m): 9:37pm On Jul 28, 2010
It was a time for sober reflection after the world cup and i realised that we were too harsh on the super eagles. We criticised, cursed, abused and held them to a higher patriotic standard. But what about the officials in the NFF who clearly planned to fail or the 62 senators who chatered a private jet from france to go and support mr. president for a one day opening ceremony while majority of the people are condemned to a life of penury. As a matter of fact, the footballers reflect a sad reality of our present day situation where NOBODY WANTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING. From the common man/woman on the street (followership) to the corrupt and visionless politicians (leadership) to SOME nigerians in the diaspora. I had nigerian friends who conveniently and automatically became ghanaians during the world cup but reverted back to being nigerians after the world cup. What kind of mentality is that? I think we should apologise to the super eagles because we set them up to fail, what do you guys think?

PLEASE NO ABUSES. THANKS
Food / Re: How Come Fast Food Joints Have Very Bad Toilets? by HOTandCOLD(m): 8:25am On Jul 28, 2010
I can't believe what i read from someone. The person suggested ignoring the toilet situation because you don't have to use it. NOT TRUE. If the toilet is dirty then you might as well be playing russian roulette with your life. What if the cook or chef just finished using the dirty toilet and maybe didn't even bother flushing. Most of the time, i check the toilet and if its dirty, i'm out.

Education / Re: Are Nigerian Universities Always Dirty by HOTandCOLD(m): 8:16am On Jul 28, 2010
This is both the fault of the authorities of a particular institution and the students. Permit me to digress a bit. When i was in a fed. govt college, the school moved to a brandnew site but the toilets were firmly locked from day one. Most students went into the bush to ease themselves while some kicked down the doors and used the non-functioning toilets. IT WAS A COMPLETE MESS. Now fast forward, these set of students who have been defecating everywhere find themselves in a university, the animalistic behaviour continues, IT'S A VICIOUS CIRCLE.
Politics / Re: Salary Of A Nigerian Politician by HOTandCOLD(m): 12:46pm On Jul 02, 2010
All those waiting for a revolution in nigeria can as well wait for godot because a REVOLUTION WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN NIGERIA. The thieving leaders know that we as a people are not united with one goal/purpose. WE ARE FRAGMENTED, DIVIDED AND HEAVILY TRIBALISED, so how can we present a united front for the revolution. It cannot start from the east because the rest of Nigeria will cry Biafra and it cannot start from the west, period. The only people who can start anything are the people that dominate the military and that is the north. But why would they change anything when Nigeria as presently constituted is working perfectly for them. For instance Rtd Gen. T.Y Danjuma said he made profit of about USD$500million after selling his oil block to the chinese. Did anybody say anything?. No, that's the way the country is. We're on a slippery slope to nowhere in particular and the masses in all nooks and crannies of the country are getting poorer while the the leaders (past and present) from all parts of the country are getting richer. But you try to raise an important topic like corruption and the first thing people want to know is your background ie as regards to the person you are accusing. A few people like the late fela and Gani Fawehinmi were excellent and Prof. wole soyinka is still speaking out, but apart from him, who else in a country of close to 150 million people?. AND YOU'RE BUSY DREAMING OF A REVOLUTION

@ Dis Guy : It's not about Coach Keshi winning the world cup but more like him or any black person gaining experience on the biggest stage. You learn from your mistake, correct them and get better. We keep turning to foreigners for everything including football. The USA is good in almost every sport and now they've added football. Their past/present coaching team are Americans and they are now ranked #14 by fifa. Take away football from Nigeria and what else do we truly have, yet we can't even manage that by ourselves. What a country?

THIS IS THE CURSE OF THE BLACKMAN. Remember what happened to Coach Keshi with the Togolese team. After qualifying them for the world cup, he was replaced by a white man and Togo went ahead to embarass not only themselves but africans in general at the last world cup. Coach Amodu qualified them, so he should have been allowed to take them to the world cup. UNTIL WE START TO GIVE OUR PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD, WE'LL NEVER GET TO THE PROMISED LAND, NO WONDER ALMOST ALL THE AFRICAN TEAMS HAVE FOREIGN COACHES. Even the USA, that's considered a soccer minnow insists on having a US born coach. I guess we'll never learn.
