bettercreature: You must have 2 number plates, one to drive at night one to drive during the day You must be at home by 7pm if you are using day time plate number else you will pay fine the same apply to night time plate number I think that is the best way to reduce traffic in lagos Though i'm not sure how it works,i was told by a taxi driver That works in an organized society unlike Lagos |

proxillin: Moving from one place to another in Lagos is now like "akara Ogun traveling to Igbo Irunmole )"
I remember last Thursday. I left my office in Victorial Island at around 4:12pm and I got home (Ikeja) at 9:10pm. This is like traveling from Lagos to Benin. Traveling inside Lagos. And despite the hardship of sitting in one position for hours, armed robbers come knocking too.
Is it the heat as a result of combustion in the car engine (If you can not burn your fuel on car AC for 5 hours), Is it the burning fume? Body odors, fart if you in a commercial transport. Lagos can be hell.
I believe for every problem, there is a solution. Its now depends on acceptability and weighing options i.e weighing the benefits of the solution against cost.
Here are my thoughts/approaches.
1. Introduction of Toll gate fee of like #1,000 on ThirdMainland Bridge entrance: Chill..relax..I know you guys will be apprehensive. What is he saying? . Thats way expensive! You want to cause another hardship..blahblah...
The effect of the hardship of toll gate fee can be reduced through the introduction of "Car pooling". How does car pooling works?
First, Nigerians/Lagosian will have to change their mentality. And these are:
- You dont have to drive to work everyday or actually you dont have to drive when going anyway. - Its true you are a big man, you have your own driver, however, you should be able to park your car once in a while and follow other people to work. This African-big-man-pride mentality is also adding to the issue. This has to stop. I saw English Prime Minister David Cameron boarding a public train. So nothing dey happen.
So on to car pooling. You will have to reach an agreement with your fellow car owners who are living in your neighborhood and your workplaces fall in the same direction. E.g. If you have some of your neighbors working in CMS axis, you can all reach an agreement to schedule a roaster. One person drives in a week. Mr. A drives on Monday and ensure he drops off Mr. B C and D in a popular bus stop in CMS so they can find their way to their offices. Sames goes for Mr B C and D for the remaining days of the week.
When Mr. A drives, he pays the #1,000 toll fee.
Security Concerns attributed to this can be address by ensuring you know your neighbors well. Visit his/her family, request for their national IDs. Just be sure you know them well before forming any alliance.
Also, a social Web Service can be launched for car owners to hookup using geolocation service.
It can work for people who don't have cars. You can always join car owners who are willing to help. Like myself, I do stop and pick people up on my way to work especially at Iyana Oworo. (I dont collect money oooo ). And I dont pick up ladies alone. You know what I mean
2. Alternative Bridge Fourth Mainland Bridge: This is a tall order, but realistic. Another Bridge can connect VI to Ikorodu and Ikeja. There is no harm in having multiple over-lapping bridges. See Dubai and Florida.
3. Investing in Water Transportation: This is one area no one is interested in. The few boats operating on Lagos waters can't even be trusted.
4. Cable car: I saw an initiation post at Obalende. It seems Ambode is interested in it. Lets see what he can come up with.
5. Electonic bicycles: This is becoming popular in Chinese and European cities. You can park your car and rent these automated machines.
6. Lets start rearing horses and Camel
Feel free to add yours. Toll gate on thirdmainland? Haaaaa... Do you realize that bridge is a bottle neck on its own ? Beside...this post should be in politics section. |

Empero1: Slowpoke. Your father is his right sense and frame of mind would not dare pick on me least of you brat. Now vamoose because I am not in the same league with you. Before you go, know that there are two types of hackers out there: ethical hackers (white hat hackers) and black hat hackers. And it takes combo of a black hat hacker and conventional scammer (real scammers are smart dudes, so they don't need any juju to pull massive deals) to pull out massive deals without trace.
You are a local champion, else you would have known what pop-up bank accounts are used for and the reason Asian countries are 21st century safe heaven for practicing fraudsters (scammers and black hat hackers). . Well to mad negros like you. A scammer = Hacker... In developed country A scammer = Fraudsster. A scammer can use hacking tools just like an armed robbers will use gun. It does not make gun manufecturers robbers too. I wonder what happened to Nigerian Education system. Set of wasted generation. |

[i]LOL Better dont say nonsense that you do not know. There are hackers that work with scammers too and they are scammers in a way. Exactly what I said. Arm robbers use guns built buy engineers, it doesnt mean Engineers are thieves Hackers do not come online and say they are hackers, LOL so I doubt your claim to be one. Also there are 3 types of hackers, White, Black and GreyHat hackers, I doubt you know all these. You are a kid. There are 3 types of hackers LOne wolves, Mobs and government spies. Generically, there are two hackers, Rogue and professional hackers. I work with a security firm as a hacker. We test many network for security vulnerabilities and consult for government and private firms. Well, you need a little education to lknow these. yes I am a hacker. Google the meaning of hacker. Its not a secrete cult. Not all wire transfers can be traced, and if they were to be traced, there's always a loophole somewhere, international laws, closed accounts that make it virtually unsolvable for many a year Every wire transfers are traceable when people are ready to investigate them. Its just that no one is interested in wasting his time and resources tracing $700. But when a government is ready to trace any amount, its 100% traceable. Even as smart as Israeli IDf hackers, they still trace virus to them. Google the word "It Forensic" And please hackers steal information to enrich themselves using RansomWare or simply trading Information to maybe Russia or selling in underground forums, Credit Card details, Account logins, things like that - Go to the Dark Web or google it, maybe you will understand what I am saying The moment you steal money from someone'else credit card to buy a phone or laptop, you are a scammer. But if you steal a database containing some passwords and sell them to FBI, you remain a hacker. This is a pure code of conduct of hackers. You might be a programmer, doesnt make you a hacker; a complete one in this sense - there is a lot to that term HACKER Hacking is a course in the university. I had Masters in it. Do you want me to scan my school certificates to you? I am into a little bit of Cybersecurity now, so i Damn well know what I am spewing Yes you think you know little, but you know nothing. Finally, as a combatant soldiers. You either work for a terrorist organization or work for a legal entity. Soldier is a professional and legal work. Its not a secret society. As a hacker, you can work legally or work with a scammer, the choice is yours. Scammers are not professionals, its like armed robbers using guns to rob, does that make gun manufacturers armed robbers too? Gun manufacturers are into legal business. We learnt all these in school. You need to get it to. |

Empero1: Guy! You are the illiterate here. Both hacking and scamming are majorly been perpetrated by same category of people called "fraudsters". Therefore, anyone that uses the two words interchangeably didn't make any mistake. Of course, it takes someone with above average knowledge about IT to package patent malwire, so one don't necessarily need to have formal IT background before s(he) can have access to hacking tools. See them illiterate coming out. Hackers dont steal money. Because they knowledgeable. A learning hacker knows any money stolen can be traced to them. Your knowledge of IT is too small to understand somethings. Hackers are smart. They still information/data not to enrich themselves. They usually work with corporate organizations, goverment e.tc. They mainly computer programmers. Im one of them. Scammers are hoodlum, agbero who contact us for hacking tools designed by developers. Scammers also engage in juju...money rituals. Stop mixxing the two. Shtf |

There is difference between scamming (fraud) and hacking.
Hacking is a proffession/ discipline. Scamming is electronic 419.
IT illiterate keep using the two terms interchangeably.
No wonder Nigerians are still backward.
Now to Nigerians, a scammer is a hacker. SMH |

However, being impotent means he can't even get it up which was the case painted in this scenario;talk more of shooting anything whether blank or loaded sef Undergoing fertility test will reveal if someone is impotent or not. Atleast u will be d one to shoot the load out. If u cant...then thats where doctors will start asking u questions. |

Woman Who Denounced Her Nigerian Citizenship To Become Spanish Insults Igbos
By Igbo General Assembly Spain
Igbo General Assembly (IGA) Spain hereby condemn in strongest terms the series of hate speeches and posts going viral in social media directed towards Igbos in Spain by one Mrs. Helen Mukoro (Helynn Harper). Mrs. Helen Mukoro in her articles posted on facebook and other media outlets accused igbos of bringing bad name to Nigeria. She wrote that all Nigerians in Spanish jails are Igbos, that Igbos never put off their eyes in quick and dirty money.
Contrary to her claims, the assembly reiterated that Igbos in Spain and the world at large have always been peaceful, law abiding, blessing and light unto the Nigeria nation and the entire human race. It regretted the dissemination of "malicious and derogatory" rumours which the assembly see as serving solely to involve the tribe in baseless scandal. Mrs Mukoro is not only insensitive, she has displayed her ethnophobia, racial and tribalistic naivety towards Igbos in Spain and the world at large.
IGA is saddened by these articles, some of which are intended to cause harm and to incite hatred, the only aim of which is to implicate the people in supposed infractions that have not been the case. It is surprising that such hateful attack is coming from a woman, from a section of a tribe that believes in making money through prostitution, human trafficking and it's related ritualism. Undoubtedly she is also involved in these nefarious acts.
This same woman claims she is now a lawyer and is contesting for the office of mayor in the Spanish city of Denia and she believes that the best way to run her campaign is by inciting hatred against an ethnic group. Such a person has no place in a democratic world and do not deserve a public office.
The IGBOS have worked hard to build their credibility in the world community. We are outraged that such irresponsible allegations were made by the likes of dubious Helen Mukoro(Helynn Harper). Mukoro tell the people of Denia how she came to Europe and what she has been doing in Padova,Italy before she came to Spain.
It is important for us to separate facts from fiction and point out the numerous discrepancies in the allegations laid against the leadership of the Nigerian mission in Spain by Mrs. Mukoro.
Firstly IGA is not in position to speak for the Embassy, but we must remind Mrs. Mukoro that Nigerian Embassies are not tribal institutions, rather national establishments saddled with the responsibility of catering for the needs of Nigerians abroad and representing Nigeria in the host country. Nigerian Embassy in Spain is not exception to this. In the past three years, Nigerians in Spain have witnessed changes for good in the way the embassy treat Nigerians. Citing reference to the case of a Nigerian who was illegally deported without due process, the embassy compelled Spanish authority to bring him back and till date he still lives in Spain.
Secondly, the case of two Nigerian families who their children were seized by Spanish authority, through the dynamic leadership of her excellency at the embassy they were released and sponsored them back to Nigeria.
Finally, the case of a Nigerian woman who was murdered by her Spanish boyfriend or client in Bilbao, the Embassy stood tough until justice was served.
All the people involved in the three cases above are not of Igbo descent, so how can someone in her right mind say that Nigerian Embassy is favouring one particular ethnic group?
The dissemination of these false allegations is irresponsible and absolute display of stupidity and ignorance, therefore Mrs. Mukoro owe Igbos unconditional apology.
Signed.
