agabaI23: You chose to see the funny aspectmtcheeewwww *turns back facing Yinus and others* I just got a Fitbit tracker jare, I ordered it precisely to measure my runs. I should run a 5K before the week runs out, I hate the treadmill this days and the only place available right now is an open field that am sure does not measure 400 metres on point. I also use a college basketball court too, I need an appropriate tracker to do it sensibly. Agaby don't talk to me o. |
modath: Present ma...Welcome jare my sister. |
agabaI23:Whatz funny? |
babs2011: Hey HG! I dey oAlways here waiting for everyone. Agaba should stop talking to me. ![]() |

modath: I'm doing well, how are you too?what's the prog like?Spark your to 5K walk/jog. It is on sparkpeople. Its just like the regular C25K i.e. Couch To 5K, just in 5 weeks. I really want to start running, I mean truly running (meaning a week does not go without running at least 3 times) and be consistent with it too. I do some other stuff like my core and upper body as a form of cross training though. |
modath: @HG & Agabz,How far Modath? Dont mind me o, I just volunteered to lead the group, it is a way of making myself accountable and develop some interest in running. Hope you are doing good? |
tarad: Hi, can U give any advice or recommendations on quality and well equipped gyms in town, the only one I know and have ever used is that one in Unilag, and I dont stay around there anymore.I don't live in Lagos. But I think you can go to the stadium, there is one there but I cannot say how functional it is presently. Meanwhile, if you go there, there would definitely be pointers to other gyms around your area. |
Everybody done vamoose nii? Everybody stay in vehicle. |
I have logged my days for sometimes now, a little bit busy on other sites where I lead a running group presently. Today I was alone in the gym and I was just taking my time including: Running 36 minutes with 1% incline. Elliptical Trainer 20 minutes Working abs 40 minutes I am better now and the trainer took his time to give me a splendid massage. I was so relaxed and tension flew away. Ramadhan Kareem to all Muslims. All the best as you lose all the extras. |
hernyhorla: Weight as at last month-72kgI hope you can really find time for yourself because you need time. What happens to your weekend Herny? What kind of work do you do? I mean are you active, moving around all day? Or you sit down all day? Well just try to be as active as you can, so that if your weekend is free, you use it judiciously. Also for a start, maybe you should get a jump rope. You can do that anywhere and everywhere. I got home 5.30pm yesterday and I got my rope and did 1,080 jumps, did some abs work and I was pleased with myself. Surf the net and get more info on a scheduled program. More importantly, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. So try to look into your meals, do not let your job make you fat. Cook your meals and pack it to work at least 3 times a week for a start. Diss processed foods and soda cut out completely, if possible. The best drink is still water, so make it your friend. Lemme rest for now. |
agabaI23: AmenYou came all the way just to say amen? Na wa for you o. How far? |

Hi all, I am trying to be fine o. Thieves burgled my house 2 days ago and left with my lappy and every other electronic device found in the house, it happened while we were at work (na area guys do am, am sure). So the stress of police report changing locks, fixing ceilings etc had taken me off some balance but right now am sure this week is gone. Pray for future safety for me. Thanks. |
agabaI23: You are a strong woman. You later came?hehehehehe, i jus weak. |
agabaI23: Greetings to You all. HourG sends her greetings too. She won't be coming here today. She had a hectic night.*mouth sealed* |
yes, we have walk ways on campus and i cook my food. Pls include indoor exercises that i can do.
Walk ways means you can wake in the morning and do the running as early before folks wake up. Since you cook your food then, then you can cook healthy then. Know the amount of oil and salt etc and make healthy choices of your meals. Less oil, reduced soda, less refined carbs etc Indoor exercises, I love skipping and I will always recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight. skipping for 10 mins non stop is the same as running for 30 mins for a 150lbs body. |
agabaI23: Good morning my neighboursAre you sure? |
How mny slice of bread is 1 to eat?
As many as will not hurt your tommy, lol. I think a thin slice is 53 cals, 100g is 266. Just try to do the maths. To undo a 100g bread, you will need to have been running for 30 minutes or more. |
