Politics / Re: Banditry: Northern Governors, Elders, Parents Facing Consequences Of Negligence by houseontherock: 5:22am On Nov 09, 2021
I'm sure majority of the Northerners are happy with the turn out of events and they'll do more to ensure the growth of almajeri culture because they don't believe individuals should train their children, they think it is the duty of the likes of alfaa Gumi and the Pantamis to train them in the 'ways' that will help the growth of their religion. So, even if they bomb the whole country, like the Afghans, they are excited

Information is key! The girl knew the sign, the passerby knew the sign. I can imagine this situation in Nigeria where majority of the passers-by don't even know about tiktok or any distress sign!

You can't get a job easily in Ilorin if you don't have a muslim name! My Muslim colleagues will only get involved in cases involving muslim students, my neighbor has his muslim brothers and sisters he takes to and from work every day and I learnt he also doesn't help Christians... being rejected by Osibona is not a big deal and I'm sure Muslims were picked from the rubbles

The 'nanny' also shouldn't let it get to her head; no condition is permanent. I won't be surprised if the new madam turns out to be an ass by mistreating her former madam and even the man's children and relatives! This life is turn by turn!

Politics / Re: ISIS Mercenaries Arrive In Nigeria, Plan Attacks On Three Borno Communities by houseontherock: 5:48pm On Nov 07, 2021
No surprises that they got here undetected as they must have been officially escorted to their temporary base. I'm guessing they want to use those Borno communities as their permanent base by scaring the villagers away with the attacks and from there they'll carry out their main tasks undecided

The hatred Southerners have for each other is strong enough to keep the whole region under the rule of the Northerners for ever. Btw, you were not smart enough to take his picture away from trans ekulu tax office signboard undecided

How can you say you are fasting without praying? Are you not just starving yourself? Prayer and fasting is the ideal. While you can easily pray without fasting, you can't fast without praying

Legendguy:

Due to covid 19 restrictions we wrote the entrance exam March this year. So I was offered part time post graduate admission
Bfor I was offered the admission I was working
You shouldn't have turned down a job offer for a part-time postgraduate study because in most schools, timetable is flexible enough to accommodate working students. Also, don't blame your dad too much because the frustrations of training children in school in his old age is also getting to him. You never can tell also- his pension may not be as regular as you think...this is Nigeria! Besides, who will pay the cooperative loan for him? He's probably weighing his options or the loan may not be forthcoming! Sometimes we need to pity these elderly people who still have dependent relatives in their old age, especially with no free or subsidized medicals!

My take: Hard as it may sound, you need to get anything doing to sponsor yourself while you keep working on your dad, because dropping out is not a good option at this stage and disowning him is childish and selfish until you walk in his shoes.

Come off it man, this jab is getting stale! They are taking the war everywhere in the South, no point laughing at each other because to the foolanis, every part of the South must be conquered! What we need but lack is the spirit to work together to wade off the common enemy as a team because our disunity is making SS, SW and SE easily penetrable.

Nigerians always messing with crime scenes and DNA evidence! Evacuating without protective gears, no gloves, crude evacuation of body! I know these guys are just doing what they can to help, but this should have been done properly to preserve evidence and perpetrators' fingerprints. Naija police can't trace calls, track phones, no street CCTV cameras, no dashboard cams... police investigation in Nigeria is hardly evidence based! Nigeria is just too underdeveloped to be called a developing country!

Yes, they are useless and it's a good thing Aketi is crying out now; not in fear, but let the world know he spoke out because when he empowers Amotekun and they start fighting back, people will understand his point because The useless checkpoint deserters are the ones that'll still go and lead attackers to the state. But God is bigger than them!

Kill someone and spend time/life in prison? You should think of how you can get him arrested because the girl will leave you if you go to prison and another man will marry her

This news report is not complete without a response from a representative of the FG...we need to hear what they are doing about it; what they feel about the gas price! I also believe the local gas vendors are enjoying this madness. However, I wonder when exactly we will truly reach our breaking point because as it is, we are quiet because we can still afford to buy itundecided

The same political circle that has made your country to become the poverty capital of the world.

Your naira is now almost worthless, some of your children study in schools with no chairs, you still have no water running to your houses, you are still struggling with a measly 5,000MW, you have multiple terrorist groups in your country, you have no social security number, no social welfare for citizens, no central police number to call, dead infrastructure...

You Nigerians can be so clueless sometimes, it’s almost tragic. I can’t blame some sha, cause Nigerian politicians feed on ignorance. It’s like my friend who got tired of hearing me complain about Naija, until he made his first trip abroad to Dubai, then I now became the one tired of hearing him complain about Naija.

I’m sure some people that specialize in suffering and smiling will quote me and tell me some rubbish just because I don’t want my people to suffer, because to them, Nigerians must suffer and continue to suffer.

While I understand your rant, I think you have to understand that we don't hold elections in Nigeria; it's just a selection process! I have since realised that our votes don't count at all,so why bother? Do you think bubu won the second time? But he was declared a winner! Even if the sit-at-home order works and nobody votes in Anambra, they will declare a winner and nothing will happen beyond the initial gra gra! This is Nigeria and many people are angry. But just like you- we will all rant on and offline, protest on the streets, probably cast our vote for a supposedly good candidate or stay indoors -while taking solace in the fact that we can always dust our passports and get out...but that's it because THIS IS NIGERIA and without people who are ready for real action and sacrifice, the cycle continues undecided
