These two truths are what my believe of why BAT shouldn't be considered at all & why a PO fits better is anchored on Truth #1 The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism—ownership of Government by an INDIVIDUAL or by a GROUP or powers that be In his article titled "THIS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IS NOT WORKING", Gbadebo Rhodes, put it better; "Lagos is fully settled in the midst of excellence, right at the very heart of excellence regardless of its peers" Lagos is not close to excellence or trying to be excellent "Baba so pe" kind of politics practiced in Lagos clearly gives a picture of Roosevelt #1 truth of democracy. This is why Lagos has NOT worked for LAGOSIANS. It has only worked for a few. Show me a GOVT owned school, hospital or water project in Lagos that is an envy of others? Truth #2 The liberty of a democracy is not safe if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living. Can't u see the roads, flyovers, bridges & railways? I hear this alot from BATIFIED Then i ask in return, has the standard of living of an average Lagosian improved over the past 21 years? Has the standard of living of Nigerians improved since 2015 of this APC administration? The answer is a capital NO! Has the standard of living of BAT's family and cronies improved with this system? The answer is YES! With focus on ONLY infrastructures, selected few will always benefit. The APC govt failed Nigerians cos of Zero interest on Education, Health or Human capital development Peter Obi's record as a governor is an embodiment of what Nigeria needs right now. A government influenced by the middle/low class will serve the people as compared to a government influenced solely by the upper class. PO's message is simple, get the middle & low class productive by fixing "critical infrastructure" that drives IMMEDIATE production which in turn increases the standard of living of the people. With PO, it will be a govt controlled by the masses. With PO, there will be increase in standard of living.
