Most of the searches don't return Royal Air Maroc.

After Egypt Air, next is Turkish airlines - at least from my findings. But reviews on Egypt Air are needed prior to decision making.

CanadianNurse:
is it cheaper than royal air maroc?

Any reviews on Egypt Air as it seems to be the cheapest airline so far?

What does it mean when your Background check status changes to "Not Applicable"?

Blackbuddy:

Hi, I moved to the GTA in June 2015 and settled in Mississauga. I came with my whole family and my wife and I (bankers) started the job hunt also attending the excellent newcomers training with Acess Employment. After 3 months, my wife got several job offers in her field and accepted an offer from a multinational conglomerate which was bought over by America's largest bank and she's doing very well there, even training other new employees now. I got my own break after 6 months as I was focused on finding a job equal or higher than my last position in Nigeria. I got several job offers as well from top banks and finally decided to accept an offer from a top 5 bank in a senior position. A lot of people here who follow Canadavisa forum know my story and I'm a good example of favour and determination.

Don't let anyone tell you that settling in Ontario, Toronto or any big city for that matter was a mistake. There are Nigerians who came before us doing very well and many more will come behind and do just as well. Remember, the battle is fought, won or lost in the mind first of all and then the physical manifestation follows. Sure there may be those who are satisfied with playing in smaller ponds but there are also others who take the plunge and swim in big waters. Abraham left a small, humble beginning for great adversity to claim a big destiny, not the other way round. Same for when Joshua led the chosen into the midst of giants and they prevailed. It's never about the size of the dog going to fight but the size of the fight in the dog. If you decide to go to a smaller city and start over, it's good and fine as it's your journey in life. If you decide to stake your claim here and get your prize as God is doing it for those of us here, that's also fine. You can send me a private message to share some further support and maybe connect you with other successful Nigerians/Canadians on ground here so you learn and gain from them. It wont cost me anything to lift you up, it only glorifies God.

grin grin The guys are not on this platform but I am sure they did not travel. Someone asked a cogent question earlier: how could you say you've worked for over 10 years and your father still gifts you money?

We all need solutions here o to be on the safe side.

not sure but I feel they got the funds late and the basis in the LOE did not hold water in the VO's opinion.

But based on my main question, what would you advise?

Babachi:

Interesting! they were refused even with gift deeds. Was the money in their account or did they use a fixed deposit account?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by HTC2017: 11:45am On May 05, 2017
Hello House,

Quick one: can someone source for funds within the first 20 days of the 90 days and keep it in one's account for about 60 days before submitting application? This will be fixed and no deductions be made till PPR. I know two guys whose applications were refused because of POF even though they eventually made the target, lumps sums perhaps were frowned at. Deed of gift, regardless.

Very apt response.

Like how much margin did you add to the limit for your level?

debbiejosh:

So true, you can be asked for updated POF with the way dollar and naira is behaving.

I was asked for mine, and given 30 days to submit, thankfully, it was a salary account, and more money had accrued into it.

Initial POF was the salary account and a FD I had for about two years, I just reprinted the statement and for the FD, it spanned for three years, and got PPR within two weeks.

I know of people that got rejected cos of this reason, CIC Would scrutinize your documents, and asking for updated POF is like the norm, they would even tell you to explain any recent lodgement, and mind you, they can go to any end.

Just be safe, I printed my SOA a day before I left Nigeria, because you never know what you would get at the POE.

Hello House,

Please confirm what rate the CIC guys use to calculate if we have reached the benchmark as regards POF?

For example, 15,143CAD should be N3,411,445.55, right?

Hello Ehrnie,

How long do you think is between ITA and PPR, all things being equal?

Ehrnie:

A "signature of account details" letter will suffice. That's what I got from GTBank plus my 6 months statement of account. My letter was addressed to:
Central Intake Office (CIO)
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Canada.

Hope this helps...?

Wow! Nice scores.

I guess this is your first time...and you smashed it.

Don't say you're disappointed at all--you killed the Listening part which can be dicey at times and your scores are very good, if you ask me. Congrats! (Please what material did you use for Listening oooooooooooooo)

Except if your 2 degrees include an MSc, the highest you can obtain is 443.

But not to worry, the cut-off is dropping by each result - at least by 6 points. You may check the trend to confirm this. Yesterday was 441, the next could be around 435. Maybe it's just turn by turn afterall.

sammyacbxyz:
Why does it seem impossible for me to get any score between 413 and 460 . I can only score above 460 if I score LRSW 8,7,7,7 in IELTS. Even if I score LRWS 7.5.9.9.9 my score will still fall below 413 which will not get ITA. i have WES 2 degrees/certificates and i am 29 and single with over three years experience. Pls what else can I do to improve my score without IELTS listening band 8 .

You're not incorrect.

At times, they might deal within 10-day timeline and not expend the whole 10.

That being said, may the Force be with you. grin

40manlappy:

You need ECA report before you can create an EE profile.

As @optionese rightly mentioned, IQAS stated 10 working days on their website but they also included a caveat that it could take longer depending on the qualification.

I am hoping for a faster assessment though wink

I don't know if you can create an EE profile using the reference number assigned to you since it mayn't change. Maybe pros in the house can advise. Cc: @vcole @dupsyhoo @boldinc @esosa4real @JesusDWay @wunmimi @jesusbaby01

wunmimi:
The 1500 CAD is an application fee for Ontario. meanwhile, the payment does not guarantee nomination from the province but it worth trying
