Politics / Re: Subsidy Probe: Suspects Warn GEJ To Stop Prosecution by Hugoboi(m): 1:01pm On Jul 27, 2012

Billyonaire: Omoyele Sowore, has been jobless in New York for years and when he started Sahara Reporters, we thought it was for the real positive change and revolution in Nigeria. But the highest bidders have "settled" him to sponsor campaigns of negativism. What is the essence of reporting rumours ? Sahara Reporter has become the mouth-piece of the Islamist Boko Haram and Oil cabals have enriched him, he now lives in highbrow New York suburb and uses the website to propagate negativism against Nigeria and Nigerians. Are you supporting the actions of the Cabal ? if GEJ is being threatened by the Subsidy thieves that are being brought to judgement, why are you reporting blackmails. Sahara Reporters insulted the President and called for probe of Subsidy thieves. And the President went into action to prosecute the thieves, and Sowore is now on rampage to trade rumours for a life in New York from the stipends he gets from his masters, the enemies of our Unity. Come back home Sowore and struggle with us to make Nigeria great, or shut the fvck and live your life in NY

Vintage Billyonaire. Outstanding irrationality and daftness personified

My sentiments exactly!

Beaf: Sadly, there is a lot of truth in what David Mark is saying.
Presenting robust opposition is a completely different thing from sedition, lies, false rumours, slander and other forms of lawlessness.

Right here on NL, we even have mods like OAM4J who take their unethical and irresponsible behaviour to common sense defying levels that can only be described as stup!d. In my opinion, a couple of people need to learn a legal lesson or two.

Ask the foolish London teenager (Luke Angel) that called Obama a pr*ck in an email after one too many beers. All the way in the UK, the police popped round, took his picture and explained to him that he was banned from the US for LIFE. At 17!
You can imagine that secret services will be on his tail for life and he now has no future.

US security services regularly haul in people who make demeaning or threatening statements on the web for questioning (or more). The Nigerian constitution is tailored after the US one, so why not do the same thing?

Lets just be civil and truthful.

Social media is now a problem because Nigerians have become aware of the shenanigans of their leaders. I'm not surprised at the quote above. Its obvious the poster will never see anything wrong with his paymasters even if it they end up ravaging the country to death. Imagine the lame Obama excuse!!
Power is transient, ask YarAdua. Destiny thrust a chance on GEJ to imprint his name in gold by changing our nation for the better but sadly, he's fallen victim to greed, avarice and corruption. The storm is coming and the revolution WILL BE TELEVISED...

Politics / Re: President Jonathan Isn't Clueless, We Are by Hugoboi(m): 3:38pm On Jul 26, 2012
Olanlere11: GEJ came up with people oriented Transformation Agenda, geared toward making Nigerians breath fresh air. people who have sworn to make sure we remain stagnated ignited violence, heating up the polity, with the sole aim of making Naija ungovernable. Today, they fuel violence and run to the media to say GEJ has failed. Nigerians know the truth, and will disappoint them. Hypocrites.

Its either u don't live in Nigeria, u are a paid GEJ agent or u don't have a bleeping clue as to what the hell u are talking about
Politics / Re: President Jonathan Isn't Clueless, We Are by Hugoboi(m): 10:04am On Jul 26, 2012
bilms: PRESIDENT JONATHAN ISN'T CLUELESS, WE ARE

I've heard people calling GEJ clueless, and I've joined people to call him that too. On further thought however, i've come to realize that President Jonathan isn't clueless, we are the clueless ones. I've heard people say GEJ isn't Nigeria's problem, they said he inherited the problems. That's where our cluelessness is revealed.

How can you call a man who stole away the hearts of most Nigerians during elections using a mere cock-and-bull story to deceive us clueless? "I once had no shoes" said he, and then we threw caution to the wind and gave him the mandate to collect our shoes. Is he really clueless or are we?

You call a man clueless yet his tenure has seen more money stolen than any other tenure in Nigeria's history. Yet we say he's clueless.

You said he's not the one taking decisions, that some people are 'pushing' him. Are they the ones who 'pushed' him to budget N1billion naira for feeding? Are they the ones who 'pushed' him to budget N45milion naira for newspapers? Are they the ones who 'pushed' him to budget N12million naira to water flowers in Aso Rock?

You said he's clueless, yet he has awarded contracts of almost a trillion naira without any of them being completed. You say he's clueless, yet the debts that were paid off have started piling up again, loans collected home and abroad with nothing to show for it.

You said he's clueless, yet he came on air to tell the world that he doesn't give a damn about what the people who voted him in thinks. Did his 'pushers' put that in his mouth? You said he's clueless, yet he used tax payers' money to buy 200 vehicles to expand his wife's NGO. Did his 'pushers' 'push' him to to do that?

You said he's clueless yet since he was sworn in, he has killed unarmed protesters, used blackmail freely on those who dared cross his path and connived with the looters of Nigeria's treasury to discredit anti-graft agencies. And you say he's clueless?

You said he's clueless, yet he came out to tell the world that he had Boko Haram members in his government, and then fails to mention names despite pressure from Nigerians and in spite of the daily loss of lives being recorded, and yet you say he's clueless.

You said he's clueless, yet since he became president, he has joined hands with IMF to push 70% of Nigerians below poverty level.

No. I refuse to believe he's clueless. We are the clueless ones.

Yes, we are the clueless ones for believing his "I once had no shoes" story, a story that won't even sell in a children's book series. We are the clueless ones for believing the crap they sold us about "He was once the assistant class captain, the class captain left the school and he became captain, he was once the assistant senior prefect, the senior prefect had an accident and died and he became the senior prefect, he was the deputy governor when the then Bayelsa governor was removed and he became governor, he was the vice-president when Yar'Adua died and he became president." Crap! We swallowed everything hook, line and sinker. We are so clueless.

It's high time we woke up and realise this man isn't clueless.

If we don't wake up and stop feeding on the self-deceit we've been giving ourselves, 2015 may come and he'll cook up another cock-and-bull story for us, like maybe, "I once had no pants" or maybe, "I once ran mad" and we'll still believe it.

Nigerians, the time to wake up is now. This man isn't clueless, we are.

- Ogunjimi James Taiwo

You have a very VALID point.

The first bolded is an awesome decision because in the real sense of the situation, Mr. President was right. Oteh is a threat in SEC and her radical ways of effecting change has been the source of panic to the thieves around her and if you're an advocate against corruption in Nigeria, you'd applaud the decision of Mr. President.
[p] At the second bolded, this administration is dealing with the unforeseen security challenges and so far that has posed a threat to the masterplan transformation agenda yet as a strong President, GEJ is on-top of the situation even as other issues troubling the good people of Nigeria is been considered. Your support is needed and am sure by the end of 2015, we all will enmasse to vote GEJ again with a promising theme. Cheers!

Speak for urself mate! I will do no such thing.

Billyonaire: Madam Allison has over 20 yrs working experience in the petroleum sector aside her academic experience, are you better qualified than her ? What do you know about petroleum sector ? Oteh was cleared by the NASS of wrongdoing and asked to return back to SEC go and check your facts. Unilag is now Maulag, NASS approved that, so the watch out how it ends in court. Otedola/Farouk issues has no link to GEJ, just dont be stup1d, its too early to insult my person.

How come a person with 20 years experience calls a common militant (Henry Okah) to intercede on her behalf so she could get appointed minister or petroleum resources over a better qualified and cleaner gentleman like Odein Ajumogobia. Isn't her credentials supposed to speak for her? I might not know anything about the petroleum sector but I know Chris Aire has no business lifting oil without proper documentation. I also know that a minister of petroleum who is competent is supposed to know the actual quantity of petroleum product consumed by Nigerians, and not embarrass herself and her office by reeling out conflicting figures. Was NASS approval of the Unilag name change pre or post the announcement? Oteh was cleared of wrongdoing, so who was indicted to 'administrative lapses'?

You see why I call you daft?
Politics / Re: List Of Pro-GEJ Paid Laptop Guys On Nairaland by Hugoboi(m): 8:46am On Jul 26, 2012
Billyonaire: Its not enough to criticize blindly, please show me where the President is wrong, we have the best brains there as advisers. No decision is made hastily. But, we must feel some discomfort with some policies to achieve the maximum gains. Its called sacrifice.

Best brains like Madam Allison abi? The same best brains who advised him to recall Oteh in a haste with weighty allegations pending against her, the same ones who advised him to unilaterally change the name of a federal institution established by statute without prior consultation. Maybe it is the same best brains who are pushing him into sweeping the report on fuel subsidy under the carpet by criminally diverting attention to Otedola and Farouk. Dude, the list is endless. Baseline is, your Oga is daft and I'm convinced u are too. I wasted my vote on him and its something I regret till dis day. Suffice it to say that I and millions of other Nigerians will not make that mistake again come 2015.

The crack u've been smoking must have expired ages ago. You are a typical example of what a well-meaning Nigerian youth shound NOT be. If u can honestly say GEJ has performed well, then u belong to an asylum.

Years of impoverishment has numbed Nigerians. It doesn't take a seer to see that GEJ and PDP's albatross is just around the corner. They can harass Bakare all they want. At least he had the balls to speak up. Other men of his ilk are busy feeding fat on their congregations.

i roc' Limited edition Audemars Piguet.wiith black leather strap, Nice to hear girls commenting on ma watch, im actually feelin fly

I'm not trying to hate but there are two thing to this. Its either your watch is a stark replica or your are lying (i'm thinking its probably the 1st option anyway).

The cheapest real Audemars Piguet cost at least $15,000 and you can take that to the bank.

Personally, I'm ambivalent when it comes to shoes. I'm yet to see a pair of shoes that i'd break the bank for (even though i was nearly knackered when i first saw the Billionaire velvet shoes)

I try to own a lil bit of everything from boots and Oxfords to pumps and sneakers. I can recollect only owning 6 pairs at a time and i'm not about to add to that.

Been down that road and trust me, it ain't pretty. Loved this girl to bits, then she started acting up. By then i was stuck on her. Would call her, she wouldn't pick. Would touch her, she'd shrug me off. I'd spend hours thinking of this chick till i developed H.B.P and fell sick. After that, i bounced back and devoted all my time to someother chick i didn't send at d time. It worked like a charm! Started thinking less and less of d chick after a short while. She'd call me up a few times and i'd appear very disinterested. And those few times when we bump into each other, my new chick by my side, she's staring at me wondering what d hell happened. And as if on cue, my new chick would prob'ly gimme a kiss right there or lean in close. I swear i can see a twinge of jealously on her face when that happens, and i can't help but smile: it coulda been her by my side. But then again, i find myself wondering what i saw in her in d first place. My ego is restored(yipee!). Worked for me, so it sure as hell can work for u. . .

@ Okija_juju. Well said. It feels good to see that some folks actually use their brains and are not fooled by Rochas's shenanigans.

@ asha 8o. If Imo cannot be compared to Rivers and Akwa Ibom cos of the revenue accruing to these states, what of Enugu and Cross Rivers States? They say one sees the mindset of an administrator by his aides. Look at Okorocha's aides and you wouldn't be too far as to why the ship of governance in Imo State is floundering. BTW, it is the height of dishonesty to call roads being built by Amaechi substandard. I live in PH and that is simply an untruth. #chikena
Politics / Re: Okorocha Signs N20,000 Minimum Wage For Imo Workers by Hugoboi(m): 8:40am On Oct 25, 2011
I am from Imo State and the plan by Rochas Okorocha to pay 20k as MW smacks of cheap populism. This is a state where this same governor sacked thousands of youths employed by the previous administration and claims of a looted treasury abound. Where will the money come from? Rochas is a scam who understands the role of hype in govet. Imo state is in dire straits with its youths roaming the streets yet this dude cannot let an opportunity to jump infront of the cameras pass by. Owerri is now a town dotted with heaps of refuse yet people say Rochas is working. Pardon me, but I really beg to differ. How do you claim to be a philanthropist when your foundation is being bank rolled by foreign donors and you pocket the money meant for your NGO in cahoot with your media goons. People call Rochas a millionaire philantropist but he was the same guy dismissed by Obasanjo as head of NAMA (National Aerospace Management Authority) in 2004 for embezzling $1 million (confirmed by Wikileaks). I'm sorry for my dear state. By the tim Rochas is through with Imo State, Ohakim will be a saint
