Though i frown at developments like this...don't let us make it look like only Buhari has don it...I can recollect how DSS (were they soldiers; can't recollect) harassed some Paper vendors and carted away newspapers at d twilight of GEJ's administration...they all do it when they feel threatened...Let's not even mention OBJ

Looks like that but is Kaka still relevant in Ogun State politics? His loyalty lies with Osoba though. With what is on ground now,GNI will get sympathy votes to win the election. Oga is frustrating all aspirants.
So you think Kaka can stand Kashamu in that same Ijebu -Igbo they both hail from, not to talk of d entire Ijebuland?

Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: FG Meeting With Labour Leaders Inconclusive by humberjade: 12:24am On Jan 05, 2019
micflo28:
Sir what you fail to understand is that the staff strength of lagos is more than that of benue of zamfara meaning lagos and kano has d highest number of civil servants against those of Benue and zamfara. So every state can hire the number it can adequately cater for when people resign and people are recruited. Their security votes can pay the 30k
That's where d problem is; these things have ripple effect...cutting down on d labour force in each State will lead to another crisis entirely...in a country that is already bedeviled by massive unemployment and population surge; it will be suicidal.

And that is what d labour force fail to understand, if d minimum wage is increased to 30k by fire and by force, State Govs might result to retrenching or even wait for civil servants to retire and then close shop against new people (meaning d current civil servants are stylishly shutting doors against their children indirectly).

Another way to go about it like u mentioned is d security votes...but then, i trust Nigerian Govs, they will find a way to recoup d money.

The way out of this impasse is for everybody to make compromises; shift grounds a little...we are already faced with a lot of demons as a nation as it is...shutting down d economy for a day alone will be catastrophic

Baba no wan enter trap...he knows all these useless and lazy Governors who can't improve on their IGR but depend on Fed Allocation every month b4 they do anything won't allow him rest...na bailout Buhari go give throughout him 2nd term if him win... grin

Me i think d Fed govt should go ahead and announce its own Min Wage and let each State bear him papa name...Even if d likes of Lagos can cope, there is no way States like Zamfara or Benue would...that's why i was laughing when Orthom who is owing salaries said he's ready to pay d 30K... grin

It's possible only if Govs can work harder on their IGR and reduce political appointees...but for now, d labour force would need to sheath their swords and face reality, except of course if they are bn sponsored to do agidi till d end.

Maybe it's someone's share of an illicit business...armed robbery or kidnapping...maybe d keke was driven through a police checkpoint and d owner alighted to avoid bn stopped and searched...because no genuine businessman would carry such a huge amount of money around in a Ghana must go bag...board a tricycle and then leave d money behind.

I think Buhari is wrong here. You have the VP from this same State, How will the party executives in the VPs state not be loyal to him, with an eye on 2023?

Normally the Ogun APC structure should be handed to Osinbajo. How will the VP be leading campaign in other states and not have a say in his own home state
Do u know why that can't happen? Osinbajo is a Lagos boy...he votes in Lagos and can't win Ogun for Buhari...he has no political base and clout in Ogun...plus Buhari knows what Amosun is capable of...go and find out d roles Amosun played in d emergence and victories of Fayemi and Akeredolu against Tinubu's wish...even Oyetola could have lost had Amosun and Fayemi not intervened.

you will see how Amosun came about Akinlade
I know how it all went from A-Z...i rarely depend on d Media b4 knowing what is going on in APC, APM and to some extent ADC...And i know Osoba and d "Lagos Cabal" had set d motion to disgrace Amosun from d onset...even if Amosun had settled for d Speaker or Odebiyi, d same scenario would have played out...they are just using how Akinlade and others emerged to counter him....Amosun travails with d Lagos Cabal started when he denied Yayi...and later, his growing influence in SW...go and find out d roles Amosun played in d emergence and victories of Fayemi and Akeredolu against Tinubu's wish...even Oyetola could have lost had Amosun and Fayemi not intervened.

And note that Amosun has worked with all d aspirants and knows what they are capable of...Akinlade was one of those who helped in growing d State's IGR...he knows what he's capable of...just like Tinubu knew how capable Fashola was against all oppositions within Lagos then, why try to stop a performing (though not perfect) Amosun 4rm doing same because u want to get back at him and steal from our coffers in Ogun.

Okay explain how Akinlade will win? Don't forget Ogun west has always been a minority and you have GNI and Dapo[Collapsed Yayi structure+Deputy] all competing in Ogun west.
Except if you believe Akinlade will sweep the whole central, which is impossible..... besides APC has always been strong in central and I firmly believe that it is impossible every APC voter in central will suddenly vote APM on governorship day. You will have Akinlade, Dapo and GNI compete fiercely here too.
Now come to the east, Akinlade and GNI wont even be found here..Dapo will still compete more favourably here than them both.

Look at the 2015 results and judge for yourself. How will Akinlade win on the first ballot or even get on the run off? APC votes will be split everywhere because of this APM thing.

Amosun's stronghold is Abeokuta both North and South. There are dissatisfaction with him in IFO and ewekoro. don't make it sound like he has an absolute following in the whole central. I know the sentiments towards YEWA people but as OGD said they have always been there own problem. They have never been united and they are a minority. As for central now believing it is their turn 'won kabo', they have been the one denying them all these years...I firmly remember the time of yewa lokan sugbon egba lo ma lo grin grin.... in any case everything is party structure in naija politics people will vote the party.

GNI is highly favoured but I dont see any structure on ground especially outside Ogun West. Dapo is rightly banking on the residual APC structure... it definitely must count for something. Anyway we will have a lot to analyse after they announce the winner or if it is a run off as I am suspecting. I am not hoping, I know many people following Amosun that will vote APC on that day. They said you can't get any money if you go against Amosun for now so most people are just chilling with him. Not everybody agrees with his style and there are moles everywhere both in APM and APC. A lot of deceiving and subtle play going on underground.

My personal opposition to Amosun is you can't form Emperor not in Ogun State it will never work. Ogun State I would say has the most enlightened electorate and one man choosing 40 elective positions singlehandedly just can never work here. For all the faults of Tinubu and Osoba they at least carry there main stakeholders along and that's why Tinubu is where he is today. But Amosun thinking he is the God of Ogun state is dancing naked already, he will be fully disgraced when the time comes. we will all watch it play out
Who did he consult before he singlehandedly chose Fashola to continue his good works?...Plus Amosun can't try to help someone to succeed him to continue his good works and not try to create a good atmosphere to succeed...look at what a bad atmosphere did to OGD and Buhari.

Though the Ogun voters strength has almost doubled d figures we had in 2015, and d scenario we had in 2015 is different from what we have in 2019...so judging what happened in 2011 or 2015 won't help much in 2019.

Amosun polled 306,988:
Gboyega Isiaka of PDP, scored 201,440 votes.

Osoba's SDP, candidate, Akin Odunsi, came third with 25,826 votes.

The Yayi people, d Deputy Gov factor and the Osoba faction that left sure can't take more than 75k from what Amosun got in 2015.

GNI sure might not be able to win half of 201,440 he pulled back then because Lado and Buruji will collect d ones they contributed back then...GNI could not have garnered what he got in d West if he had a strong Ogun West person running against him.

What i am sure of is that Akinlade will win Ipokia and Yewa South without sweat...he will share Yewa North with GNI...Ota wll be a battle ground and i am sure Akinlade won't come 3rd...because when u look at Gbeleyi, Ramon and other foot soldiers APM has in Ota...it will be a fight to finish between Dapo, AAA and GNI.

Ogun East: Look at Amosun's figures in d East without d Osoba faction in 2015 and be d judge...Akinlade will get d 25% he needs in d East, not because of DA, but because of d Kashamu and Lado factor.

Have u forgotten that Amosun was able to make those figures up there without d Osoba faction; a faction that couldn't win a seat when they moved their structure to SDP? Look at how Amosun led-APC performed in Ogun East.

Now my brother, I have never said that i am very sure Akinlade will win...what i have always said is that, I don't see how Dapo can win....Dapo can't win his district...How then will he win other places?

What i know is that Akinlade will win d entire Central....it might be close shaves here and there...though i don't know if it will be enough for him.

No matter who wins, though it won't be Dapo, it will very very very close.

That's serious! I suspect 'God' has been supplying him water, electricity and even food in that house. I think 'God' should stop siding with this Dino guy and leave him to his fate!
One thing i know is that Dino is a rugged man, and would survive for at least 7 days or more...his likes i am very sure won't be drinking from public water supply...even myself don't drink it, i only cook and do other chores with it...i either buy Pure Water packs and once in a while bottled water...so i suspect he has enough that can last him for days.

He probably has enough gadgets (laptops and mobile phones) to last him for days...i won't be surprised if he has a backup charging source in there too...so i think d police needs to apply some force to get him out...maybe smoke him out sef. grin

Can't they just cut his water and electricity supplies, and let's see how long he can hold up in there!
They have already done that

Though i don't know what d law says...but i think if d Nigerian Police is in possession of an evidence that he shot a policeman... a serious crime...and since they have a warrant signed by a judge...i think d police can break down his doors to arrest him since he's resisting arrest.

Though a Senator, but i don't think Dino has any immunity clause protecting him...like d police would treat an ordinary with d same crime...let his doors be pulled or pushed down...we can't be wasting resources on a clown like him.

Lawyers in d house; does d law allow this for someone who is resisting arrest for attempted murder or culpable homicide (or whatever it is called under d law)?

I understand your ply but reality on ground is set, done. GNI chance even with sympathy votes will not win, little party structure, no money to spend, ADC, ADP are from PDP therefore splitting PDP into three. Ogun East has 9 local governments, Ogun West 4, Ogun Central 7. do the math.
As for Akinlade, many see him as Amosun stooge, we don't want another jagaban in person of Amosun. As for infrastructure development, Dapo will continue mission to rebuild Ogun. If truly Amosun love you as u claim, he would have done some bad roads to yewa axis but he keep blind eyes.
Let me correct u to start with...Ogun West has 5 LGAs...while Ogun Central has 6.

You may be right about ADC, ADP and PDP sharing votes into 3...but this doesn't still explain how Dapo wld win...Ogun East has 9 LGAs...3 Ijebu LGs and 6 Remos...and as long as status quo remains in PDP until March 2...Kashamu will sweep d 3 Ijebu LGs and Ladi will sweep d entire Remo...while d likes of Paseda, GNI and even Akinlade wld still take out of d little left behind.

If...not even if...Dapo will find it difficult to win any LG in d East, except either Lado or Kashamu steps down for him.

Come to the Central, nitoti Olorun, can Dapo defeat Amosun here? Is it Abeokuta North or South? Abi Ifo or Ewekoro? Abi na Odeda or Obafemi-Owode? GNI will also have a strong showing here, though i fear it might not be enough to outdo Amosun...butif there is to be any upset, it wld be from GNI.

Go to Ogun West: Dapo is banking on d voting strength of Ado-Odo Ota to win....that was why he chose his deputy from there...someone who has n political base there...she can't even run for HOA and win...Now he will go neck to neck with with d likes of Gbeleyi, Rotimi Ramon (go and find out what d duo are capable of compared with those in Dapo's camp in d LG)...Now to d core Yewa...Akinlade will sweep d entire Yewa South and Ipokia....GNI will sweep d entire Imeko LG...It will be tight in Yewa North LG (though GNI won d LG by 500 votes in 2015)

Of all i have laid bare...d only place I see Dapo winning is maybe Ikenne because of d VP and Dolapo's connection...Is it Sagamu, abi Odogbolu that he will win....even if he wins any LG...it can never be by a large margin.

So u don't want one of ur own to be a Jababan over u, but u prefer an outsider to come and Lord it over u in ur State...u want someone from outside who will be collecting isakoole every month from Lagos...plus won't Dapo become a stooge of 3 godfathers himself? D VP, Tinubu and Osoba...which is better? A stooge with a godfather or a stooge with 3 godfathers?

Ko ma ro ki lo kan e... grin

am not claiming anything, he is the party flag bearer, whichever way he emerged not my point, my point is why would any sane party allow such a petty fellow to be the flag bearer?
because they thought he was clean...they probably didn't run a thorough background check on him...i am sure they will have some regret that they chose him with all d garbage he has around his neck...they rushed to do it to spite Amosun and reduce his growing influence in SW.

The same way they rushed to choose Uzodima in Imo; someone we was on d FG's watch list for fraud and was even placed on a travel ban by dis govt...same foolishness that led Oshiomole to make sure APC fields no candidate in Zamfara....losing a Gov, 3 senatorial and 9 rep seats in d process...in an APC stronghold for that matter.

I have been reading different opinions on Amosun, Dapo and Akinlade. First and foremost, I want us to go back to year back during OGD Era, despite PDP federal might and do or die politics of Obasanjo with PDP controlled Inec Amosun under ANPP was able to give PDP in Ogun state a run for their money.
Secondly, the Governorship election that happened in Osun State why didn't Tinubu, Oshiomole, Federal Might and Aregbe win Osun state convincingly for APC? If not for Amosun that led Fayemi and some "Buhari Boys" in the SWest to Osun, Adeleke could have won and it could have been a big blow to Buhari's re-election.

I don't know Buhari's mind towards Ogun governorship election but one thing is sure Buhari will NEVER work against Amosun's interest.

Before guber elections in Ondo and Ekiti it was Tinubu boys that were who is who in South West politics either in APC or PDP except Amosun. Amosun singlehandedly installed Akeredolu,, Fayemi and he almost install the late Adeleke before his sudden death.

Amosun has been a big headache to Tinubu in the south West politics and that's why Tinubu used and still using Oshiomole to fight Amosun.

On a final note, I don't know who will win the Ogun state election but one thing is certain it won't be Dapo of APC.
Well said ojare...only those whose hatred for Amosun for reasons best known to them are feigning ignorance of all these facts...time will tell sha

was he the one that did that? And he won a party primary? Good lord what a country?
He was d one that did it...plus which party primary are u claiming he won sef...d one that happened in Tinubu's living room? Dapo couldn't have won if d contest actually took place...that's why they wrote d figures to favour him.

Bro, aswear you sabi.

I don't understand people here at all.

People are forgetting that tribal politics will also play out.

Dapo abiodun himself is jittery ...He went on channels to say the Egbas and Yewas are same thing whereas he told Olu of ilaro that he pleaded with Amosun to allow Yayi a Yewa man because it was their turn ...The certificate scandal is still there
Dapo is not politically savvy...that was why he was trying to choose his words carefully while on air d other day...but at d end of d day, he exposed himself in all fronts....from d Yewas/Egbas statement to d comments he made concerning his certificate...trust me, dat guy is a fraud.

He lost my respect totally when i heard that he withdrew transformers he gave to communities because he lost an election there...he even withdrew vehicles 4rm people too.

are you related to Triple A? as you carry his matter on head like puff puff. Forget about Ogun election,
I am an Ogun West person and i have always believed in Amosun to help my people succeed him...and that's why GNI is my 2nd option.

Now to why Triple A is my 1st option, he's bn mentored by someone (though not perfect) whose infrastructural achievements are 2nd to non in Ogun's history...as such, he will be able to develop my area which has suffered infrastructural neglects from successive govt since forever...but if Triple doesn't win...I will be happy to have GNI, whom I know will also try his best to deliver and fix Yewa roads.

Nobody can develop Yewa like a son of d soil...they just come to Yewa to campaign to get votes and disappears after getting them.
