AlhajiEsu: I wonder what the role of NLC is in Nigeria. Some of their actions look like thuggery to me. There are so many issues workers face in this country and they are not protesting about it. Some state governments owe up to 6 months salaries. What are they even looking for in that organisation NLC have lost it bro.... they seems to have an uterior notice behind their actions.... so pathetic. |

I think this could be avoided...if they can just resort to table talk and negotiation. not really happy with the video I just watched..inflicting injuries on staffs is not acceptable. just that we are so used to violent and unprofessional protests/agitation in nation. |

ifymadu: Ok, let me break it down. If MTN feels it needs a presence in say Lokoja, it invites business men and women for screening and the basic requirement is that you have a space. Either personal building or rented, all MTN does is to tell you the spec of the building. When you get it, MTN comes in to design and paint with its color, provide connectivity to the network and other technical support. The owner of the franchise will then employ his or her staffs, provide power and run the place. MTN supplies you products at a given price and you mark up (controlled mark up) and resell to customers. You are also paid on services rendered and other commissions. It is the franchise owner that interview, employ and pay his/her staffs based on individual agreements. MTN does not run overhead (salaries inclusive) for franchise owners thanks for this info. I really apprecaite..... sorry for my ignorant questions at first. |

Allstrasse: Irrelevant question. Its a contract. If it doesn't suit you there are always options. You cannot dictate to your employer what he should pay from his earnings.
The government as a regulator can only fix a basic minimum wage.
But you as an employee have the privilege of choosing whom to work for and that is indeed fair enough. so sorry for my question. ifymady already explained vividly to me. I think the NLC are going about it in the wrong way...they should have employed table talk(negotiation approach ) or use the national assembly or the ministry of Labour if they feel there was dissatisfaction with the system. especially with the assault on the staff's make no sense at all. never knew much about these protest and inspiration behind it but yesterday I got a clear picture. |

ifymadu: MTN does not dictate to them how much to pay for labor. Franchise owners as businessmen and women decide for themselves. I’m not justifying any Nigeria worker being exploited but this is not the way to go about it. you're very right on the best way to go about it... thanks for that...truth. I vividly agree wit you. so you mean the salaries for the franchise staffs does not come from MTN? so where does the franchise owners get money to pay...? |

ifymadu: These allegations are actually not true, I worked with MTN Nigeria for close to 15yrs before relocating to the United States. MTN is actually one of the best places to work in Nigeria and most of those you call contract staffs were actually employed by franchise owners. Just like most multinationals, the call center is outsourced to a vendor to allow it focus on the core of its business. I laff when I read most of the reports and comments about MTN, they are baseless. and how |

Kog45: My man have you asked yourself why people always present court affidavits instead of their original birth certificates.
A lot dumped their birth certificates and used court affidavits to beat down their age.
And funny enough NPC issue birth certificate without even asked for any documents.
Truly original birth certificate should be the answer but not in Nigeria.
Oh you have not seen a scenario where you are the youngest and also the oldest cos you have original birth certificate but others have court affidavits to back things up.
It happened to me before in my working place. In our set those with original birth certificates are the oldest cos others tendered court affidavits to support their new age.
The bubble burst when my company HR requested for primary school certificate. Some said they don't have it but my HR said just bring any primary school term result.
At the end the HR was summoned to Abuja and that was the end.
Imagine a graduate of 6 years ago playing for U 21 with birth certificate from NPC which foreign countries recognize as real birth certificate with just attestation from MOFA was the HR sacked? the problem wit nigerians...is that they think only those in corridors of power are corrupt. any individual who could engage in age falsification is as corrupt as corruption itself. |

Kog45: Sir are you still on unearthing FB players.
Pls forget that,Rohr should just update himself technically or get a solid assistant cos at WC he was naive and always lost when it matter most.
On indigenous coaches being biased?well you are right but is Rohr not biased taking players to WC on loyalties.
Honestly not really convinced with Rohr cos what eagles need now is tactical coach not just unearth FB for us cos i remember Stephen Keshi brought in Leon Balogun,Ekong Troost,Ameobi,Hope Akpan. Also Siasia made it possible for Iwobi,Anichebe and Aluko and Oliseh gave us Carl Ikeme.
I want Rohr to continue based on build up but he need a very solid tactical assistants just like Westerhoff/Bonfrere, Keshi/Sylvanus Okpala and Siasia/Kalika. you need cut off those your expectations on rohr...because the old man always look for ways to defend his failures.... he has never accept responsiblity for his team abysmal play...always looking for an excuse to give. you wrote true up there....but I doubt if rohr will take heed |

Oasis007:

You nailed Bruh. He played the damn Formation against the Argies in a Friendly and it was fantastic.
He ought to have built on it. Work out tactical Plans and Lineup that gonna perfectly fit into the Formation, but the Franco-German Salisu Yusuf thought we are still playing Qualifiers.
Why did he fail to learn from the Friendlies?! Did he fail to see the Squad was good for 3 -. 5 - 2 Formation?! Tactically many things were wrong with the Team at the Mundial.
Rohr ain't the Answer for the Eagles. I ain't saying he shouldn't retained, but he's not right man to prepare the Team for the Qatar 2022. Franco-German yusuf...got me laughing hard. rohr had the opportunity to make name for himself... but messed it up. but we just have to keep up with him..because he will help us unearth some of the foreign born indigenous coaches can't reach.....how I wish a brillant coach like yusuf was...he would have been helpful indigenous coaches like siasia and amuneke will still messed it up with their biased selection.....so better we stick to rohr...he is the foreign coach we can afford at the moment... |

TheGoodJoe: Chill with the attack on Rohr. The man worked hard for the team.
As for Walker in central defence, I was just pointing out that it was already done by Pep but it takes nothing away from Southgate who believed in the innovation and stuck to it. Rohr messed up bro.... he messed up big time... if you were the coach..after Ighalo goal drought in about 8 matches...will you still dare put him in that pitch to replace nancho that day...? will you wait till the 90 min to introduce sub? Rohr is technically naive... |

Oasis007: But Kyle Walker played more as a RB almost through last Season coz Pep rarely played 3 CBs.
I wouldn't mind LVG too. He's definitely a Force to reckon with in the Game, far better than the myopic Tool working as a Coach of the Super Eagles. our working conditions here in Nigeria can't handle a coach like LVG.... but to be true...rohr cost us this world cup.... had it been the coward coach...took time perfect the 3-5-2 formation during those friendlies... we won't have ease out from the world cup so fast... the coach messed up big time...Croatia was there for the taking that day....but rohr being a coward sticked to the 4-2-3-1 formation. |

Joebie: Double Honours For Pinnick As He Becomes CAF Vice President
Busybuddies 3 hours ago
https://i0.wp.com/www.busybuddiesng.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG-20180705-WA0109.jpg
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick has been appointed as CAF’s 1st Vice President.
CAF executive committee member Pinnick was named 1st Vice President earlier on Thursday after the body’s emergency committee members unanimously agreed for him to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi.
It is the highest position occupied by a Nigerian since the fall from grace of former executive committee member Amos Adamu.
Suspended Ghana FA President Nyantakyi resigned from the post after he was involved in the corruption scandal rocking his country’s football.
Constant Omari Selemani of DR Congo and Fouzi Lekjaa of Morocco remain the 2nd and 3rd Vice President respectively.
In what could be termed as double honours for Pinnick, he was also appointed match commissioner for three crucial games at the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
The NFF President would be the match commissioner for Friday afternoon’s quarter-final clash between France and Uruguay, one of the semifinals and the third/fourth place playoff. I doubt if Giwa and dalung will ever attain this height in their life time |
