BascoVanVeli: Well go and tell ESPN and Wiki that Basco said they are quacks. I watched all these matches boss. Cameroon first came in a friendly, he nodded in a delicious cross from Echiejile(go figure). Luxemburg was a Nacho assist that could have been a tap in but he proceeded to dribble the keeper and fire in. The last one was against Cameroon in the massacre in Uyo.
Assists His first was against Chad to Salami and that saved us from an embarrassing draw in Kaduna. Next was against Cameroon in our away leg to Simon Moses and we all know how important that was.
He once scored a penalty against Chad in kaduna.....
sontoly: Oga na two oo from my source, and thats the point Ighalo is 29 he cant learn new thing, doesnt have basic striker instinct, no good positioning infact we no get striker joor.
4 goals from 17caps 2 penalties shows u he only scored 2 goals from open play, doesnt mean that they have not been feeding him passes??, very poor stats
my brother thank you...sometimes when you talk they will say you hate the player...
elyte89: Baba,its obvious u don't like ighalo as a striker,boss kog45 gave u a a gud point,BUT u couldn't defend IT, concerning KANU
KANU stats too was very poor as a striker whether he plays as 8 or 9,all na striker, weda supporting o,canvassing striker,THEY ARE ALL STRIKER,dey are listed as "strikers".KANU Is a striker,he played 87times for eagles and he only scored a paltry sum of 12goals..extremely poor, cos u once said it ursef DT,d major function of striker is to score, every oda things follows, judging from d above statement u made earlier on this thread.....KANU IS THE WORST STRIKER WE EVER HAD IN D HISTORY OF NIGERIA FOOTBALL
kanu was never a top 9 but often play as 8....
he was a striker if he does not score goals...he can help others score goals...
BascoVanVeli: I didn't say he plays like Benzema. I meant they both bring other attributes that will keep them on the pitch even without goals.
not with the super eagles....please. you keep sayn chances are never created for Ighalo to score.... can I ask you please ..were does kelechi get his chances from...? I mean from the goals he has been scoring...?
Duru009: The problem with ladies like you is "over sabi or I too known". I know girls like you cannot make a good marriage but only good for girlfriend n for nacking.
Continue! I wish u all the best.
I think that lady is just pained because she probably lost her virginity for a plate of noodles....
forgetting that...there is nothing like last with God... and that God can wipe away our past and give us a new beginning...it doesn't matter how dirty it is...
tbaba1234: What about Yahaya, he is now a right back.
many a time I watch iwobi play for the super eagles...I appreciate arsenal foot ball academy they really groomed that lad....
now we have another good prospect...eze in our hands...we must not let him go...call him up...better to even have him called than keep testing mikel agu and Agbo who never get to play...
not too happy the way rohr keep treating Agbo though....
Jochabed: awwn!! Thank you. The insult me but secretly send me mails.
awww...that's a good stance. please keep it up.... and know that God will never let His Holy one to see corruption... so because you honor Him...He will make men to honour you..and secure your future. I have sent you a pm
If so why is he considered a legend in Granada? Benzema is a prime example of a striker who does other things right apart from scoring. The fact is if u do the right things the goals will always come.
you think we are going to Russia to go make up the numbers... which serious team will go wit strikers with positioning and finishing prowess?
Joebie: I support that even if it means placing him in the standby list.. that already shows our intent
that's a good one...to be honest some super eagles players...like musa and co don't wanna mention so much names have just this world cup to boast their reputation otherwise...they may never be called up again after the mundial..... many of this young guns gonna claim their place... like eze, urakwe of chelsea FC ,Samuel kalu, umar, olayinka etc...
tbaba1234: The boy needs to be capped because it is just a matter of time before Scotland calls..
you're very right...moreover most of their players all play in the championship. rohr shoild quickly give him a call....assure him of getting capped in one of our friendlies... I still don't understand the rationale behind the invitee of that Bournemouth kid the other day by the under 20 coach.....
Joebie: u people want Okocha to call of his retirement eh.. I was watching that Yobo exhibition match yesterday..
I don't mind brother.... just imagine we play the Croatians the way we played the serbians.... that means we are kissing the world cup good bye...right from the first match...Croatian even have a better midfield
Mujtahida: No I don't think Sir Kog45 asked you to compare Kanu and Ighalo. it's not about Kanu. He just used Kanu to illustrate the fact that though Kanu did not score many goals yet he gets balanced appraisal. Sir Kog45 emphasis is on balance. and that's why he asked you to produce Ighalo's stats based on his number of goals so that we can see how bad he really is cos since the friendlies Ighalo has had no test from you. So let's see his stats please.
I don't have the stats...because I have never been moved by his play.... I don't hate him mind you....by nigeria ties I should even be more closer to him and ideye...
but let's be sincere...we really need a lethal striker same...way we have been longing for a goal keeper....
Mujtahida: Yoruba say oya mi lenu. The thing surprise me. If we don't like a player there's nothing we will not say against such a player whether true or false doesn't matter. The attitude is 'I don't like him therefore anything I say about him is right regardless of whether it is so in reality'
Balanced criticism is what we need abeg.
I never knew...chances have never been created for him to score goals...all this while he has been playing....
what makes you think...rohr resorted try nancho as a top 9 against Algeria and the likes.....
a striker positioning sometimes helps in creating chances...... one of the chances he missed against Serbia...iwobi was standing beside him... that was a good chance any good striker should bury...
Chrismario: your 2nd paragraph might be true though but Jude hasn't been too poor from that uyo match.
He and nacho complements each other. If I be Rohr, I will mold the team in 4-4-2 formation. Positioning, scoring, holding and taking opponents are attributes of a good cf but unfortunately, One can position so well and score but can't hold ball or take a defender and vise versa.
My concern is calling for Larry to replace Ighalo because he scored yesterday. Rohr don see both for training tire.
I remember nancho words after his stunning goal against the Tanzanians
he reacted brilliantly to the super play of the goal keeper.... Rohr needed a win in that match....so as to boast his managerial prowess and also to mark his reign wit success... nancho came to rescue with a very intelligent decision to shot from outside the team yard box.... a striker sometimes creates chance for themselves....osaze was one of this....too.
Mujtahida: Please Sir Humility017 we are waiting for you to respond to this post by Kog45. Let's talk based on the facts. I am indifferent to Ighalo but let's talk facts.
there is nothing to compare between Ighalo and kanu... kanu was a player who always come alive when it matter most.... I still remember his assist to utaka during the afcon 2004...Match wit Cameroon... also him coming to get us two goals...against Gabon in worldcup/afcon qualifying match in river state....that match was heading to a draw....this and many more we see kanu rescue this super eagles in dangerous times...
he was a player whose passes the team always count on when it matters most...
can Ighalo do same? that's the question you and sir kog4 should answer....it's not about records of goals scored compared to kanu....... even in the goals ratio Ighalo is not even faring better...I doubt kanu was ever played as a top 9
andrew444: A goal in 3 minute means automatic call up to the super eagles.....Nice one
you're getting the message wrongly... no one is asking for his automatical call up... we are not happy with the super eagles midfield and striking dept....presently. so any player Doing well club side especaliy in Europe should be looked into and tried...to beef up the team.
this guy has something working for him....I will want him to be invited if he keeps up with this performance....
andrew444: I have always love aaron samuel...But how do you guys watch ball,So because he scored brace and that makes him improve? Why cant you wait from now till the end of the season?
the few times he gets to play for the super eagles...he gave a good account of himself... I was one of those against keshi giving him a call up...but he went to prove me wrong.... he is a better prospect to rohr than even martins many clamour for here....
Russianruble: Shakter fans want Kayode signed from City they even believe in him more than we do here
they should let the dude play football.... these are early rush....I trust him to thrive well in ukriane...considering the team to be attacking minded...a replica of his performance in Austria..I expect from him.
Kog45: Sir Humility,Ighalo is not good enough and you don't want Martins but you preferred Dessers and Sadiq better to add Osimhen, Awoniyi, Kalu,Onuachu, Olayinka and possibly we can find solution..
senior man...names don't play football but talent, skills and techniques do.... those two aforementioned names up there...have nothing new to bring to the table....I have watched Ighalo play severally...he is a kind of striker that is not consistent and abeit unreliable.
