When comes to been clinical in front of goal, iheanacho has it,but when it comes to African games, iheanacho physique is a disadvantage to him,he's not built up to hold up play, disturb defenders dereby creating chances for oda players to score,WC ighalo possess d qualities.

Check matches where d defenders are tall and strong, iheanacho struggles most times, his impact is not always felt at all, most especially if d midfeid re not supplying him passes very well

Maybe, iheanacho shld create a niche for himself and play in a diff position, but as far as I am concerned when it comes to Top 9,iheanacho is not an ideal Candi date
you're right...reason why rohr should put on his scouting cap....
this Tammy would have been a perfect fit.

Javier Hernandez is more clinical than a lot of Epl strikers but where is he? West Ham. Clinicality isn't everything. I for one believe that if Ighalo and Iheanacho are the two main strikers we have going to the world cup then we have a problem, a serious one. We need strikers who can combine what Ighalo and Nacho provide all in one. This is the world cup not nations cup and we know our defence will provide the opposing teams with bonafide chances(it is not a thing of shame, we are African teams, we always concede) so we have to look to outscore the opponents. Going to the world cup with a striker who can hold up play and ruffle defenders while missing open tapins and other easier to score chances OR going to the world cup with a 'supposedly' clinical striker who cannot hold up play or who goes missing when opposing defenders man-mark him is not the way forward. We need to see what Nwakeme brings, if I say Martins now nsogbu. We also need to check this Cyril guy, check Onyekuru in the CF position, maybe try a false nine position for him and Kayode etc etc but currently what we have now in the CF department is not good
I agree wit you bro...
you nailed it...
so unfortunate that Tammy of a guy choosed to look the other way...

i just pray rohr take the risks you profered up there...that man is no risk taker...
don't be surprised if he play same starting line up against the Algerians

My man have been watching Eagles since 80s and i know what am talking about

I watched Odegbami Segun,Rasheed Yekini,Chibuzor Ehielegbu,Odiaka,Owubokiri,Samson Siasia, Mike Obiku,Chris Ohenhen,Dan Amokachie, Efan Ekoku,KANU Nwankwo, Julius Aghaowa, etc

So issue of Nacho or Ighalo not new to me and I know what am saying.I rate Nacho highly than Ighalo, u can check most of my comments but Rohr must have his reason for picking Ighalo ahead of him of recent.

Pls check most of my comments on Ighalo i don't rate him but he had a good game against Cameroon which i appreciate.

My point is not who is more clinical or do u see anywhere i said Ighalo is more clinical than Nacho,so why d question.

Ighalo had a fair game like others in a tense soaked match and he cannot be dropped coz of yesterday match, that's my point.
i am not canvassingfor him to be dropped from the team, but definetely not a top 9 and shouldn't be starting ...you've been watching eagles since the 1990s....you're in a better position to know the kind of strikers that have always been paraded by the SE...the likes of yekini and co....
there is need to shop for a top 9 and back ups for troost and Leon and also elderson...
That's all we need now .

Na now I can support your call for Rohr to become a little bit radical. Cos we need to apply real tactical intelligence at the World Cup. No be to the play the same line up all the time in the name of never change a winning team. That might not work all the time. Sometimes a little tweaking like bringing Iheanacho to play behind the main striker can help make our attack more effective, a midfield combo of Mikel-Ndidi - Etebo /Iwobi too can do wonders in that midfield

That sentimental factor is always gon be there. Right now Ahmed Musa's place in the squad is really not guaranteed. I see at least four or five players in the crop that played the qualifiers being dropped and entirely new guys taking up their places. May God help John Ogu.

But I know we ain't taking no Uchebos to the World Cup this time.
not only uchebo kind of player...
also...ameobi, Gabriel, azubuike, ejike etc

musa i will prefer we go wit musa in place of Henry....for now...
reason because of his experience and his abilities is still not in doubt

musa is still good...

I hope this doesn't become an Ighalo/Kc debate. Undoubtedly Kc is the more clinical finisher however to me Ighalo offers more threatening movement. He dribbles better too. Kc should play behind the main striker like in our first match. He will score more.
good you spoke the truth...
in a world cup tournament where you've the best nations all play...

you don't go start missing goal scoring opportunities like he did yesterday...
a clinical team will punish you for it.

he is more of Nigeria version of Edison cavanni....who can utilise 2 out of 10 created chances

Are you sure? The Zambians had hefty guys as defenders ooo. Even Ighalo struggled with them, not to talk of Iheanacho with all this constant running.
ighalo problem was mainly in his decision making....that pass from V Moses was same Iwobi received...and also his positioning was poor...

I doubt nacho wil miss those chances he missed today...
forget it..nacho is more clinical in front of goal..than ighalo or ideye...

even the goal Iwobi scored was more of individual brilliance...he never trapped that ball...but played it immediately

Onazi made more interceptions than Ndidi in the game because he was the last midfielder, no brainer there.

Etebo in that middle would have gone straight into the CMF role and Ndidi would move into the DMF role and we won't know Onazi was subbed except for his hair color that would go missing.

Which attack are you talking about anyways?

I disagree with you. Rohr was right in starting with the team that won Cameroun. It was with great reluctance that he fielded Simon ahead of Iwobi cos reports were that Iwobi had scored three goals in camp but Rohr didn't want to change the team. Onazi's injury destabilised his set up yet he didn't panic even though I don't fancy Agu(he's not bad though. He will get better)
I knew Iwobi would come in for Simon and he came right at the point the Zambians were exhausted and thus Iwobi had great and immediate impact.
you making me laugh..

reason why I tell you...that he is not a top good coach...
a coach ought to field players in line wit his tactics and nature of opponent to play...
and not because they won or lost last match played several.weeks ago...alot of things have changed....
sometimes you alter a winning team to make it look better...

if you watch the epl you will understand this pathological edge players have over teams...
I tell you nacho would have offer better than ighalo today....

I was so comfortable playing Simon Moses against the Cameroon...watchin his play in the friendly in Brussels...I know he will repeat same feet...

so does that mean Onazi was sublime when he was playing? With Etebo in that middle we would have played a lot better, forget the Onazi talk
I was expecting you to reply this...
may be you never saw that attack he inniated that led to his substitution.

yeah etebo will offer more offensively but definetely not defensively.
so far so good...onazi has made more interceptions than even ndidi...
you can go replay our Cameroon match
so throwing in etebo in his place..will likely expose the midfield for the Zambians to explore...

prior his removal...he lived up to expectation.

Yes o.. I was kind of worried when he came off... Etebo might have been a better player to bring on
yeah ..I think reason because rohr fear that etebo is more attacking minded so need to track back and keep the Zambians at bay made him thrown in agu....

but his decision to start elderson today and ighalo leaves me surprised...
especially elderson...I doubt he watches Super Eagles tapes

Onazi is the turbo of that midfield. We were lucky to escape with a victory in his absence.
yeah...very
you're right...
nacho in this game would have offer much than ighalo...

rohr should have know...that partly the reason ighalo excelled against the Cameroonians was because they are mainly a physical side...rely much on their strength to play football unlike the Zambians who are better technical and skillful...

nacho would have offer more in this match..

Congrats to super Eagles for making it to Russia ......Rohr is a very Good tactician
yeah .congrats..
on rohr being a very good tactician
I think you took the praise too far
yes he is good but not very good...

he err in this match...he already made up his mind on the starting 11 prior releasing the 23 man list
and thats bad ...
even reasonable coach should know the effect of players psychology...
I told someone while watching the match...
a good coach ought to let Iwobi and nacho start this match...
reason because of the psychological edge over the Zambians
they both scored in ndola...it is certain one of them will score today if let to play...

south Africa coach knew this..
that's why he invited and played rantie against us in uyo and same rantie scored...

Great team display. Ndidi was great IMO, balogun excellent same with Ekong, Ezebwa full of confidence between the sticks. Mikel was once again captain fantastic, you could see the hunger in him. The elderly man tried, agu adjusted after a shaky start with some good blocks, ighalo missed some chances but his zeal couldn't be questioned, iwobi was class and I want to agree with joebie's suggestion of actually making him the am while mikel controls play from deep. Vic mosis constantly a menace and Shehu w ghost at can we say absolutely outstanding and exceptional!!!!!!!
to be honest with you...if we must go far at the world cup...
we really need a top 9...
those chances ighalo missed today....a very clinical team will make you pay for it.
