to be honest I really think we need a good and functional league...just like the RSA and Egyptian, Tunisian etc league to win a world cup...
we can't expect European nations to develop players for us...just watch as the world cup draw close now... how some of our players we begin to sit on bench unnecessarily...

No, we should keep working to improve the standard of the league. The LMC have done a good job in the last few years.
to be honest...the league has barely improved.
a league where away team can barely grab a win and even if they do...their lives are in danger...
a league... where non of the clubs can live up to expectations in the continental football unlike in the past where the likes of enyimba and heartland did so well....
a league where the players are massively owned their wages...

abeg...NFF really need to think outside the box to improve the league even if it involves taking the club off the state government and auction them to private companies and individuals and do so to the league...let it be run fully a private company..

Do you know what Nigeria stands to gain if a guy like Odeh is sold from Mfm to Monaco for €5M? Hypothetically speaking

You may not realise this but I will break it down for you.

Do you know that the Nff will get a percentage from that deal?
Do you know Lagos state FA will equally get a cut from the deal because Mfm is domiciled in Lagos?
Do you know the local club where Mfm got Odey from will equally get a cut from this deal?

The ripple effect this revenue generated will go a long way in exciting the system and producing many more exciting prospects from the grassroots.

Having established some of these facts, I would like to ask, do you think a European team will pay €5M for a player playing in Nigeria, who has no first team national team experience?
When I talked about promoting local content, this is exactly what I mean.

Maybe if you're watching football as a spectator what I said wouldn't mean much to you but if you're at the administrative level, you will understand very well what message am passing across.
Bro...they will siphon these money...
I have seen clubs which made transfer of players abroad ..go bankrupt the following season
can't even pay players....
BJ football club made money from the sale of Isaac success but few season after could not finance the team transportation to kogi from Benin...
abeg leave this matter corruption in Nigeria football stinks

Based on Logistics u cannot not just send Odey to London just to train with the Eagles.

Based also on Logistics we can assess him better here in the CHAN team.

Hope u are not like her. She didn't do well, the two of them are very wrong and stupid. You don't know how provocative some women can be.
I have seen worse, yes, some men can be abusive but most of the time ,the women are provocative.
I boarded a bus many years ago going to lekki and there was a lady in the bus fighting the conductor because he gv her bad #10 change. When she got to her bus stop around sharaton, she insisted that she would collect her clean change. Held the conductor by cloth, and that one insisting that he didn't hv another one.
What happened next was that a military officer sitting at the edge of the bus brought #10 from his pocket ,gave the lady.she collected it , and next thing she did was to pack some dry sand on the floor, in order to throw at the conductor. The guy dogged the sand and the sand went straight to the eyes of the officer including the rest of us.
No apology or such. That day was how I know how military can beat someone mercilessly. She got beating of her life that it created a lot of scene that those that didn't know happened really carried planks and sticks in other to attack the officer because he was attacking a woman. She lied that the man was trying to touch her breast and she asked why but got slapped. If iwas not there, i could also carry planks. That day i fear some of you, women. The guy had to call for reinforcement while he told us in the bus to drive off before we are attacked too. We had to leave the guy and the conductor and we zoomed off.
Some women are dangerous than snake. And yet not remorseful. The best thing is for the men to look at them and over look their trouble most times by neglecting their rubbish.
In this case, both of them loose and can lead to their brake ups which may not be good for the children. 2 wrongs never make aright. He will repair the car and it will affect the house up keep. That is more trouble for them. As she escaped outside, she should have gone to the nearest police station to handle that.
God bless u
what u wrote is true.....

some women can be annoying with the way they talk.
though I know some men are animal like...but some women goad a man too much...

Ademola Lookman has made his choice, I truly believe Nigeria should not bevan option but a choice.

I hope it goes well with him. Now we can look at those who want to play for thier Fatherland. We still have to raise the Brand Green Eagles higher and make it a high aspiration and thing of great pride.

Now the NFF have to stop buying into the hype and do thier own research and discovery. Do not wait for England to discover talent for you before you can recognise it. Not all premier players are good enough for the Eagles.

In this regard Ademola is not as good as Aluko by a huge margin younger yes, better capital No. Ademola is not in my opinion better than Onyedinma and he is a class act. If not for football politics he should be playing at a top premiership team.

I am not impressed by Chuba Akpom he is simply not good enough as a striker.

Anichebe on his day is completely unplayable he should be in the mix.

Of course all eyes are on Oghene - Tega, with England promising all kinds of endorsement as a spin off for playing for England.

Meanwhile adios to Ademola

Everton Ademola Lookman Tells Gernot Rohr – I Want To Play For England Not Nigeria

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-68.jpg

Nigeria have been dealt a serious blow in their quest to lure Everton rising star Ademola Lookman to switch allegiance to the senior national team of Nigeria.

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has succeeded in luring players of Nigerian descent born abroad to pledge their future to the Nigerian team but Lookman has turned down his approach.

While Ola Aina and Chuba Akpom have given their words to Rohr about representing Nigeria, Lookman who is also a youth international for England has confirmed his commitment to the Three Lions of England.

Lookman told Dan Ashworth, the FA’s director of elite development, that he wants to play for England despite interest from Nigeria.

He hopes to represent England at the U-21 European Championship, and also has high hopes that he will gate crash coach Gareth Southgate senior side before the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

My take on Pep And Iheanacho.

Earlier in the season when the debate about whether Iheanacho should leave City or stay, my opinion was let him face the competition and fight for shirt if he is the Super Star we say he is.

When Gabriel Jesus came and Iheanacho was excluded from match day squads i said the next couple of weeks will tell.

Gabriel Jesus got injured and Iheanacho is still being left out of match day squads consistently for a couple of weeks.

IMO mancity does not have plans for Kelechi Iheanacho. Jesus is out and Iheanacho is nt even on the bench so what now happens after the second coming of Jesus? Him fit no make bench for the 'Drills' sef.

I am worried.

Why?

2018 WC is 14months away. I have faith that we will qualify. And if Pep continues dealing with Iheanacho same way then that will spell doom for us. People are mentioning, Kayode, Odey, Adi, Ideye, Anichebe and co. All these are not Super star materials. None of them can pose a 5star performance even on their best day.

Iheanacho even on his off day on the pitch still manages to pose at least a 3 star performance. He is the only striker we have that has the potential to pose a 5star performance on his good day.

So we need a club that can help him and us attain that level befitting his potential. It is not every year we see player of such calibre being born in Nigeria and we allow Pep to continue drilling him as if he is searching for Oil in his head?

I dnt even mind any more if he goes to any middle table team. We need him to be playing as we build towards the world cup next year.
We dnt even need him on the bench and he plays 5-10mins. We need him to be playing 90mins.

My verdict: Iheanacho must leave City this summer!
you will live long sir...God bless you for this

please sir stop this thing...
it is annoying the way you keep defending this coach....to the extent even sir Joseph once said..it's like you share same bed with pep...

it is crystal clear...that pep has no plans for nacho
what's the essence of training so hard and still be out of the match day squad...so he should keep training hard to impress the difficult to please coach

you don't need to do all that to please a manager who believes in you...some persons just can't be pleased no matter how hard you try.....

nacho gets to this level he is all by hard work...the young man has fought tirelessly to get this level
he never got it on a plate of gold....
pep is simply a selfish coach...if you don't want the young man in your team loan him out...

I will.blame rohr should this continue next season... because should he begin to bench nacho or not extending a call to him will make him and his father to begin to think that this situation really need to be looked into..

he must be smart to ask for a loan move during the summer...
