Had lot's of daring moments when I was under 12years. Ranging from jumping from 3 storey building for fun, walking across a suspended gutter wall over a deep erosion.

This faithful evening went with some friends to steal ube (ohi ube - Pear stealing). My friends were picking pears while I was on top of the tree plucking. All of a sudden the owner of the tree appeared from nowhere. My friends bailed themselves with their leg without alerting me. The woman picked the all ube she saw and got a cane asked me to come down. A look at her I knew am in trouble. being trapped on the tree with the mama waiting for me to come down. I climbed to the top most part of the tree.

The mama said if I like I can climb to heaven she is waiting for me to come down. After waiting for some time without the woman not showing any sign of leaving. Without thinking from the very top I released myself without warning I landed on my back the woman was frightened and she raised alarm - Ogbukwanu onwe ya o!!! (He has killed himself) I got up and ran as fast as my leg can carry me.

My friends were surprised how I managed to escape I narrated the story to them and we laughed about. Woke up the next morning with bruised left hand . Went to carried bandage for the week. Never told my mum how I sustained the injury - who wan collect flogging on top of bruised hand.

Overwhelming.
