Guys, I got my visa application granted today.

Please, i will like to ask the house for advise. my visa was lodged on the 22nd of June and i tried booking for medicals and biometrics they both gave me same date 7th of July, (IOM & VSF) Lagos.

Though the medicals date was selected by IOM themselves due to an error message from their site, so i sent them a mail to complain and they replied with 7th June as the only available date. unfortunately i was not able to meet up with the biometrics after my medicals at IOM Ikeja as i got there 40mins behind the appointment time. I was advised by the VSF staff at the gate to reschedule the appointment as they can not allow me in. From the available date on VSF website the most convenient date for me is 21 July.

I want to ask if this will not affect my visa processing, as it will mean my biometrics will be done 4weeks after my visa application.

It wont affect your processing time. Visa time takes 8weeks as of now. And also, to be on a safe side, make sure you get your biometrics done at the timeline given to complete biometrics on Immi account .a timeline is given to complete either biometrics or medicals on Immi account.

i have already registered for courses and picked timetable, now school is saying if we dont resume on or before 3pm on friday 21st of july, i cant differ, i can only file for Intermission ,which is more like leave of absence.for that intake. thou i wont need to pay any fees,but i will have to reach out to BUPA to change my insurance date.

its over 6 weeks now. i submitted application on MAY 25, BIOMETRICS ON JUNE 2, MEDICALS ON JUNE 6. like day 43.
No added document was requested and my status is on FURTHER ASSESSMENT since like june 9

The good thing is your fees will still be intact if it gets to that stage. I think someone asked a question concerning your situation at the online pre orientation.
To be on the safe side, try to defer before 21st july.
On filing for Intermission. Godforbid, if it was a situation of visa denial , will deakin still refund 100% of your fees?

The matter is tiring truly. From my analysis, Most Student applications from india, Pakistan and other continents lodged in June are currently being answered, meanwhile African or Nigeria students applications is still at 1st week of may.

I booked my biometrics myself online in vfs global and I paid about 12,500 in the AU office in vfs. For the medicals, every dates in the IOM website were booked, I had to call someone in Lagos to go to their office and they help me secured a spot, I paid 20k to get the spot secured because I was in a haste. Lastly, I met a girl at the medicals and she told me that she was able to book her date earlier by sending a mail to the IOM and they replied her, they were able to fix her a good date without paying. I hope this helps.

I captured December 12th, and from information i gathered so far, the officer at the collection point or gate is likely to turn December slip down because of it being UP stage.

If you captured december 1st to 19th, your passport is ready.

Those who captured december 20th and upwards, your passport printing starts today

Those who captured on the 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd can go pick up their passports from 16th of this month

And for those who captured 24th to 31st can get theirs anyday from 21st to 30th of March respectively.

My Luthian 3.5kva generators electricity cannot carry the compressor of my 315L thermocool deep freezer.. The freezer turns on , but when the compressor wants to start, it drops it or sometimes the compressor

Just go and swear a court affidavit at the nearest high court to you, that both names on the two certificates are one and the same person.


Present the written affidavit to the school and take it with you to obtain visa incase they should ask for it

it won't be a problem....no need stressing yourself....if the school has issues with the name. they will tell you to explain why and ask you do an affidavit...BUT I STRONGLY KNOW YOU WONT HAVE ANY ISSUE. . BECAUSE YOU HAVE THREE NAMES ON YOUR DOCUMENTS ALSO AVAILABLE ON YOU INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT

hello friends,

i had my International passport done this year and I used my surname , first name and two other names when registering for it ( the international passport bears: Azodi Obi Ade Williams ).
While on my education B.sc/nysc document, i have my surname,  first name and just a single other name( the certificate bears : Azodi Obi Ade ).

The problem now is that I intend going for my masters in Austria and will please  like to know if the additional name "Williams on my International passport will  be a problem?

if it might be a problem,  may i know the steps to take  to give the immigration  officers or school an explanation on why i have an additional name"williams" on my passport and not on my certificate .
