Celebrities / 9ice Owes Nigerian Youths An Apology Over Dammy Krane’s Arrest by hurlapapa(m): 3:11pm On Jun 05, 2017
I listened to the radio this afternoon and should I say unfortunately, they were discussing Dammy Krane’s arrest. And the angle they picked it from was that of 9ice- his ‘Living Things’ song.
Honestly, the first day I heard that song, I said to myself this is all shades of wrong, but then it’s Naija so it’s cool, people had already started listening and jamming to the song.

The topic was the hot gist today and those that sent in messages said 9ice didn’t help matters when he released the song especially the part he praised well known fraudsters, which actually made youths believe more in fraud.

To them, (those that sent in messages) it’s simple, he actually reckons with them and it’s extremely sad that someone who once held a public office and a public figure can actually release a song to praise fraudsters and encourage the youths to involve themselves in what he calls wire wire.

One of the presenters even said, in a better country, authorities would have gone after those men and question their source of income. Which is just the RIGHT thing to do. The only RIGHT THING.

They however attributed it to Dammy Krane’s case, saying he is just like many Nigerian youths who have now involved themselves in fraudulent activities because they see it as a way of being big, living large and a fast way of making money than working hard, and ofcourse if people like 9ice can praise well known fraudsters, why won’t the youths want to get involved.

You ask why? Because 9ice has a say. Because 9ice is seen as a role model. Because 9ice is a star. Because 9ice matters to them. They listen to him. They believe in him. And when he dishes out a song, they think he is right, our mentor says it is cool and so they do it.

Need we say 9ice is wrong with his Living Things song? Absolutely! He owes Nigerian youths an apology. He owes them one, he needs a retraction. He has misled a lot of people without him probably not even knowing. We have to be careful of what we dish out as celebrities (I mean the celebrities).

Celebrities / Lagbaja’s Face Revealed!!! by hurlapapa(m): 7:40pm On Oct 02, 2012
According to Lagbaja, his mask is used as an icon of man’s facelessness. Lagbaja is a Yoruba word that means “nobody in particular”. It depicts the anonymity of the so-called “common man”. The mask and the name symbolize the faceless, the
voiceless in the society, particularly in Africa.

We’ve all wondered what Omo Baba Mukomuko’s face look(s) like and a lot of questions go through our mind when we hear or see the legendary afrobeat singer on TV. Does he have scar on his face that he is hiding under the mask? Does he have tribal mark or marks as the case may be?

Wonder no more! As NaijaMp3s gives you the face of Lagbaja Omo Baba Mukomuko.

What do you think about Lagbaja’s face? Share your thought.

Crime / How 8 Married Men I Met On Blackberry Messenger Drugged And Assaulted Me by hurlapapa(m): 7:52pm On Sep 03, 2012
This is a woman's story culled from another site.  She talks of her experience meeting men she doesn't know:
"I am a girl, a graduate and currently serving in Kaduna. This past few weeks have been a hell for me, especially since the moment i spotted Cynthia (the lady killed in the hotel room in Festac, Lagos) on the internet, my mind have been unsettled and I thought I should share my experience on how I was drugged and raped by 8 eight men in the same spot.
We have met people on social media, some of them ended well and some turn sour. I  added a married man on my Blackberry Messenger (BBM), we started chatting and he told me that he is married which makes me trust him even more because of his truthfulness. Months later he invited me on a date because his wife was out of the country that very time and I agree because I found him very simple and honest. I went out with him and his friends all night, though we did not made love but we had a very romantic date: we kiss and he touched me in places I had never ever imagined.

With that, I loved him even more and I felt so safe  when we are alone. I do not know that his plan was to gain my trusted, he gave me N10,000 and put me in a cab to go home the next morning. We kept talking and chatting and sending unclad pictures to each other and he told me naughty things of how he wanted to whisper things in my ear, I blushed. We didn't see for two weeks and that was because his wife just came back from Turkey.

One day, he told he is organising a beach party/boat cruise and he would love to have me on board, without thinking I agreed. We both decided to open a discussion group to people that are going and get to know each each before meeting at the party. I managed to bring some of my hot friends on board and we chatted we his friends, send pictures and phone each other. Though they are all married but we had a good chat and what made it better was their profiles; where they working, amount they are earning, cars and much more.

On that faithful evening, we all assembled at the Lagos Island Boat Club. I was wowed because it was a high class party. We were cruising in a boat loaded with goodies drinks and hot babes, and as well 'married men', but with all the time I have spent with him before I felt so safe not minding the number of men in there.  We completed that and moved to the main party.

Anyways, we felt free with each other because we had been chatting. It all started well until I realized I was staggering, feeling dizzy and not just me all the girls
in there felt the same thing.I was also feeling Hot as hell! I had been drugged. They monitored us and when they knew the drug had really gone deep into our system, they moved us up into the main beach house. I could still see faces, but was too weak and Hot to react.

The man I came with laid me down on the floor as other did to each girl that was with them. We were 8 in number, they stripped us down and had sex with us. I enjoyed it a bit because I was Hot. It was a mixed feeling because I cried, I moaned, but I did not know how many times he came into me. He pounded me hard. I was dizzy, but I noticed that they turned and switch partners and slept with us.

I passed out, I don't know what happened. We woke up and looked around but we couldn't find any of those men. What we found was N16,000, a note and packs of used condoms, the note says "share this money equally (i.e N2000 each) and use it as transport fare". We were embarrassed and ashamed we could not talk about what just happened. We noticed that our BBM discussion group has been deleted and messages wiped clean.

He sent me a message that I should not tell anyone and threatened me but I called him bastard and he replied try it. He then sent me couple of my unclad pictures and how he humiliated us on the floor. I went back to school with my mind filled with sh*ts and my CGPA dropped drastically. Till today, my friends and I never talked about that awful night.

Now, I have given my life to Christ but the fear of men still dwells in my mind, I pray with time everything will be diminished. I am taking this time to tell singles out there that are used to "fun" to please change their ways and pray to find favour at God's sight. To all married women, they should pray that God should intervene and be the foundation of their marriage.

As for me, I do not think I ever want to get married or date a man again. That chapter has been closed for good in my life."

Celebrities / 12 Controversial Nollywood Actresses And Their Reckless Lifestyles Exposed by hurlapapa(m): 4:13am On Aug 25, 2012
Movietainment Magazine in a recent piece discussed the prevalence of scandals in the Nigerian movie industry, these scandals which have become synonymous with Nollywood have been perpetrated mostly by female actresses.
Scandals ranging from husband snatching to sexual immorality are synonymous with Nollywood acts, and this has affected the image of many Nigerian actors and actresses.
That is why we decided to bring you the first part of an exposition on the reckless lifestyles of some Nollywood actresses in this edition.
Mercy Johnson
Mercy Johnson has always been in the news even before her controversial wedding to Edo big boy, Prince Odi Okojie on Saturday, August 27, 2011. The lady hit the news headlines when she was pictured exposing her private part at an event. It was obvious in the photograph that she did not wear pant or bra. Her wedding became an issue, which was feasted on by the print media as she was alleged to have snatched another person’s husband as revealed by one Lovelyn, a supposed wife of Prince Okojie. Mercy Johnson is one actress with scandalous sexual controversies.
Ini Edo
Another name on the list is that of Inibong Edobong, better known as Ini Edo. Ini is one Nollywood actress that is synonymous with sex scandals in the industry. Her wedding was a bit controversial after she was believed to have snatched Philip Ehiagwina from society lady, Ruth Okoro. She was once rumoured to be having a romantic affair with a governor in the South-South region of Nigeria. Also recently, she was reported to have left a club with another man.
Tonto Dikeh
Tonto Dikeh is unarguably the most controversial Nollywood actress. The beautiful lady has always been in the news since her emergence in the movie industry in 2006. She was recently alleged to have been paid N5million for sex by the Managing Director of Sifax, Mr. Taiwo Afolabi. Tonto is also noted for being a lover oftattoo as she has more than 57 designs on her body. One other thing about this lady is that she is a heavy smoker, and she once had a brawl with Van Vicker on a movie set in 2011.
Iyabo Ojo
One of the best hands in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood, Iyabo Ojo is not new to negative stories. It was reported that a top Lagos politician and former Senator gave her the Range Rover SUV she is cruising around town. Her bitter fight with colleague, Lizzy Anjorin was almost becoming monumental until some industry heavyweights stepped in to broker peace between the two beautiful actresses. Apart from that, the controversial actress has been involved in several sex scandals and she was once reported to have been caught having sex with a man at the back seat of a car in London.
Funke Akindele
Until her recent wedding to Oshodi big boy, Alhaji Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, Funke was really an actress with many sex scandals. She was alleged to have fought with one of her colleagues on a movie set in 2011 over a man. Some have also rumoured that she had escapades with some notable men before her marriage, which held with funfare on May 26, 2012. Her wedding to Almaroof also became controversial as she was reported to be going into Almaroof’s life as a third wife.
Genevieve Nnaji
Genny, as sexy Genevieve Nnaji is fondly called, has been romantically linked with several actors in Nollywood. Ramsey Nouah, RMD, Pat Attah and others are some of the men she was rumoured to have dated. Genevieve was once said to have dated a topmost politician in Nigeria, apart from other alleged sexcapades here and there. Though she has become the face of a popular vehicle manufacturer, her sex life in the industry can never be easily forgotten in a hurry.
Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)
Not many know Tayo Odueke by her real name, she is better known and addressed as Sikiratu Sindodo, a name she got from one of her movie flicks. One of her most popular scandals was her hot romance with a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi, Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya also known as MC Oluomo. Oluomo was even said to have sent her to Saudi Arabia for holy pilgrimage.
She was also rumoured to have dated actor and producer, Kunle Afod. Just few months ago, there gist went round town that she was having an affair with younger brother of Kunle Afolayan, Aremu which she has profusely denied. She is presently rumoured to be in a sizzling romance with top Fuji artiste, Malaika.
Stella Damasus
Nollywood beautiful actress, Stella Damasus is seen by many as the industry ‘good girl’ until she was alleged to have caused the separation of fellow actress, Doris Simeon with her hubby, Daniel Ademinokan. Stella was reported to have started a love affair with Daniel before his marriage with Simeon crashed. Her secret was exposed by a soft sell magazine, which reported that Doris was ready to fight Stella for snatching her hubby. There were also reports that both Daniel and Stella have been seen together in some compromising ways. Though Stella and Daniel have denied having any amorous relationship, but some are still in doubt that their closeness is a business affair.
Bukky Wright
Her failed marriages and romantic affairs with some big wigs in the industry have been a thing for many to feed on. Bukky Wright’s pretty looks has attracted many men to her. The mother of two is surely not free from some scandals associated with the play-acting profession in Nigeria. She has been severally alleged of hoping from one bed to another.
Faithia Balogun
This estranged wife of top Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun, Faithia is surely also not free of some scandals in Nollywood. She was once rumoured to have fought her colleague in the Yoruba movie industry over a young Ibadan politician, Rotimi Ajanaku. She was rumoured to have alleged that the lady snatched Ajanaku from her. She was once reported to be in sizzling romance with the Director of Corporate Pictures, Alhaji Abdullahi Razak. It was also reported that this almost destroyed the marriage of the top marketer. One funny thing about Faithia is the fact that she is yet to drop the surname of her former husband, Balogun.
Stephanie Okereke
Stephanie Okereke was reported in 2011 to have fought with Genevieve Nnaji when she reportedly found out that Genevieve had allegedly cornered her link to a man in the presidency she reportedly introduced Geneveive to in the presidency. She was reported to have felt bad that Genny cornered her in getting access to the presidency through a former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan, Douglas Oronto. Stephanie was said to be the only link Genevieve had to Douglas until she found her way through another means. Stephanie has also been linked with some sex scandals in the past.
Mosun Filani
At the wee hours of her movie career, was enmeshed into hot romantic relationships with actors; Muyiwa Ademola and Odunlade Adekola. She was reported to have almost ruined the marriage of Muyiwa, but for the understanding of his wife. Her wedding to Kayode Adeoye, who is a son of former police AIG, was very controversial. She was alleged to have snatched Kayode from another woman, who had two children for him. Weeks later, her former lover, Alhaji Babatunde, believed to be the head of ‘Omo onile’ in Epe, a suburb of Lagos, ordered Mosun to return a car gift he gave her while they were together. This was after Alhaji got the news that she has married Kayode.

Celebrities / Stella Dimoko-korkus Interviews Tonto Dikeh by hurlapapa(m): 9:07am On Aug 20, 2012
Encomium reporter, Stella Dimoko-Korkus recently interviewed Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh. Hmmm, I don’t even know how to explain this but I guess I’d let you folks read on and be the judge. Enjoy!!!

Stella: You shot the movie, My Life, My Damage, with Uche Jombo; we are yet to see the movie but it is alleged that the drug addict role you played in the movie is your true life character.

Tonto: Here we go again. I am an actor for Christ sake. And I’m supposed to make my audience believe whatever role I interpret. If any past role I have done has made anyone put a tag on me as Tonto a person, that’s their problem to deal with not mine. If they say I got the role because I am drugs why are you calling me? Why don’t you call the person who saw me fit enough to interpret the role? In the movie, My Damage, I played the role of someone who got high on drugs. Acting like a drug addict is easy. Please let them say, I am not going to respond to anyone on this issue again.

Stella: The tattoo of your face on your back was done during the movie shoot in America. Drugs and tattoos sometimes go together. Have you gone for therapy to solve this problem?

Tonto: I don’t understand these questions you are asking. Have you gone to therapy for poke nosing into people’s affairs? I am sure you would call it a day job. That’s fine. I had my back tattooed because I always wanted to do so and during the movie shoot, we figured we could put the scene into the movie. Like you said, drugs and tattoos sometimes go together and we thought it was perfect for the movie.

Stella: I will ignore the insult. From the synopsis of the movie, your character did not end up well. Are you not worried that you might end up like this in real life if you continue with the drug abuse?

Tonto: Yes, the character I played ended up with HIV/AIDS and that’s a good lesson for people who abuse sex and drugs without protection. The movie is a warning to young people living life on the fast lane because they can afford it. The consequences are very serious and in most cases, the damage done cannot be undone.
I don’t mean to be rude but if someone calls me again attaching a movie role to Tonto as a person, I will not give any response and I won’t be nice. It’s a pity that people take their eyes off the film and begin to put question mark on the actor’s personal life. People should focus on the character and not me. Thank you all the same for asking me, albeit that I find these questions totally demeaning and insulting on my person. Have a nice day.
