From Today's Reading EZ 18:21-28

"Thus says the Lord GOD:
If the wicked man turns away from all the sins he committed, if he keeps all my statutes and does what is right and just, he shall surely live, he shall not die...And if the virtuous man turns from the path of virtue to do evil, the same kind of abominable things that the wicked man does,
can he do this and still live? None of his virtuous deeds shall be remembered, because he has broken faith and committed sin; because of this, he shall die
".

Gospel MT 5:20-26

"You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment. But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment..."

People often write their autobiography, a peek into their lives. Can you do an autobiography of your life in the past 24hrs, with the readings of today in mind? Just a check on how your life weighed; considering virtues and vices, things done and things left undone....When I look back at mine, I cannot but sigh with the psalm of the day thus : " If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand?". For "ordinary" anger against your brother, you are liable to judgement, albeit to determine if it was a just anger or not, and probably the length of time it lasted. Haba! God abhors sin, he punishes severely for it. His mercy however is exceedingly great, that He forgives every repentant heart. No where is this attributes of God so vividly displayed as on the cross and in the existence of Purgatory. Such huge payment on the cross for the reconciliation with man, and such severe punishment in purgatory for venial sins to save the soul. "How easy it is to lack respect in prayers, to prefer our ease to the accomplishment of duty, to sin by vanity, by impatience, by sensuality, by uncharitable thoughts and words, by wont of conformity to the will of God!" says a priest author. These faults have severe punishments in Purgatory, yet some just feel that God simply turn a blind eye to these faults of theirs, and chide you who watch out for them, confess them and ask for pardon, dreading the pains due to them in purgatory. It is you they still accuse of finding an easy way out by believing in purgatory, yet it is they who prepare to carry such faults to heaven, forgetting that "Nothing unclean shall enter..." Rev.21:27. Brethren, let's continue to examine or consciences for faults like these, as the church teaches us, let's not be moved by the snares and jeers of the proud and ignorant, a sincere and contrite heart the Lord will not spurn.
Today, let me walk in prayer with you Hurricanechris my brother, as you watch out for daily faults and make amends, may the Lord supply you with the necessary grace to overcome them, may you be clothed in virtues that you may be pleasing to Him.

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.

thanks bro. I always knew i could count on your prayer and good wills. Thank alot

the craziest and amazing thing is that, while their parents were drinking milk and honey during the civil war in these other regions, those in the South East were being starved to death.

Today, things have changed, Igbos are leading in anything academics. Imo state has the highest professors, Anambra leads in anything secondary school competition and now Abia State is leading in WAEC

Crime / Re: I Was Kidnapped For Refusing To Join Cult – Catholic Priest by hurricaneChris: 6:18am On Feb 07, 2016
"I knelt down with my eyes closed and called on the name of God to let his will be done"

Another reminder that the Catholic Church wont pay random to free a kidnapped clergy.

I remember Father Basil Onyia, the first Rev Father to be kidnapped in Aba Diocese. He said while he was praying with a little boy who was also a victim of kidnap, one of the gang members walked up to him and shouted "instead of you to call the Bishop to bring our money, you are here praying. Even if that that your God came down today, your arent going until they meet our demands"

Father Basil said that particular guy was the only one who died during exchange of bullets with military men.

Happy for Father Adedayo.

Those monkeys up the Pole shouldn't live in a democratic world.

It was cool for ElRufia to rant on twitter for years prior to becoming the Govr. But a divisive act when an ordinary lecturer expresses how he feels.

Who doesnt know that Ilupeju has become settlement for Indians and Lebanese?

They even have school in that area exclusively for Labanese, just very close to Fidelity Bank along Coker road. So seeing landlords with such mentality shouldn't be surprising. On all the street gates in Ilupeju, u will see yoruba women selling fruits and vegs, mainly consumed by Indians and Lebanese.

Our company has a project along Association Avenue in ilupeju also, most of the sub contractors handling the interior finishing, electrical and mechanical jobs are Labanese.

The oral vaccine he promised isnt heading down the south Pole, people who need it mostly dont live everywhere in Nigeria.

My friend , it is high time Buhari and his South West lapdogs implement the last confab report and stop chasing phantom billions stolen by Tompolo - you can't continuously be doing the same thing over and over and again the same way and be expecting a different result.

If it will take any form of senseless violence to make the necessary changes that will put Nigeria where she belongs so be it.
FYI : There are no criminal elements in the SS/ Niger Delta , the real criminals are the owners of the oil well mining lease and blocs in the Niger Delta but they are from Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna et al and the people that have conered all the job opportunities and contracts from the same black gold that resides in Lagos by simply yelling 'we are more educated' yet some of their states went bankrupt as soon as oil price dropped
If you don't know your history , then shut up and go to bed or better still ,ask questions.
