Yusmash00: You can change it at the POE when you arrive to America. Just write the new address in a paper and give it to the Immigration officer that collected ur visa package and tell him/her that is your new address.

Gentiger: Since you don't have your SSN and alien registration number (Printed in front of your green card) yet, you can't start these application now. What you can start doing now is to process your transcript and send to any accredited credential evaluation service provider. You can't afford to wait till you get here to begin this process.

1. Remember to always start your name the way it appeared in your original selection.
2. Don’t forget that official documents always start with your Surname.
3. Always start educational qualification with your highest.
4. Median names is your wife’s family name
I will take time to answer the specimen questions on the forms and publish them on this thread by tomorrow hope that will help remove some of the confusion we are having in filling the forms.

Rocktation: Anyway, the best advice I've read here so far on this issue, is that of pjogutum. Act Nigerian. Be smart. Your having that much time to take note of the CN alone, which is by far the smartest thing you have done in your visa journey, is evidence enough that they are not so wise themselves.
Yes, stolen or lost passport can be replaced, but what I don't know is how you can get the 1st notification letter as I believe it must have been replaced by the second by now. I really don't know how this works. Addy of host though, can be changed at the port of entry.

pjogutum1: ^^^^^^I will advise you to continue begging and negotiating while you get another passport and do all the medicals yourself..Like someone said,Go with security Operatives on your day of Interview in case they wanna show up as well.they wanna block your progress and You wont allow them...they have already sent your form to KCC and the form will be waiting for you on the Interview date..

@husmern, @Soyedele has said it all what need i say again? do just that and all will be well.since they charged 350k for their workmanship, and they have not worked anything, let them take that one as their benefit. tell them to give you your passport,your 1NL and 2NL, that you will do the remaining things yourself and see their action. don't ever give them the impression that you have the CN continue to pled with them and play along.

sory house 4 not replyin on time, i'v bn in d class since moni...i jst call d agents now and they r stil telling me i wud av 2 pay d requested amount b4 they can allow me 2 do medical n police report avin it in mind dt i dnt av access 2 my CN..dis is actually thier break down:

stage1
200k for clearing of package (as if they wanna clear d cars)
20k for filling n sending of d form

stage2
e-passport for 16k
NPC cert for 3k
medical for 32k
police report for 6k
affidavit of support for 72k
visa fee for 53k

stage3
workmanship for 350k

ignorantly, we paid 120k for stage 1 and pay all d stage 2 except visa fee and now they r telling me dt we shd complete stage 1 b4 d date of interview..
i knw d mistakes av already bn made and now we want to discuss with dem 4 d last time concernin d reductn of d money becos they told dt they r goin to collect money 4 workmanship afta d visa hs bn issued(havin it in mind dt they will collect d visa frm me)any more advise on dis.. i saw all d previous advise on dis issue especially dt of pjogutum1..thanks very much

chykezworld: @husmern......d agents r no fools...my advice is dat u prepare for ur interview in terms of docs...cuz i knw dat for ur police report n medical u nid ur international passport,Der is no nid goin for a new passport,d moni u will spend for d process of getn new passport can b used to pay dem,dey r human n dey do knw wen u r slated for ur interview,just arrange sm moni frm nw n go to dem towards ur interview date beg dem,reason wt dem n above all pray to God about it...God holds d hrt of kings n men...with God everything is possible...don't ever under estimate wat God can do....i wish u well.

1. Husmern thank God you have gotten your CN
2. Secondly if the agents are with your passport, you can get another passport by applying to immigration for misplace/lost passport but no information on the old e-passport will be changed and you can get that within a week for 20k.
3. Do you have a good knowledge of all the information contained in your forms DS 230 and 122?
4. As for were your GC and SSN will be sent if it is not your address, you can change it at POE
5. You can do your medicals with Q-life were you can get your x-ray in CD instead of big envelope
6. You can do your police character yourself in Alagbon
7. You can go with security operatives during your interview and visa collection
8. You can deposit your visa with your bank for safe keep before your departure

The stated above is possible, but my little worry here is your safety. We don’t know the agreement you reached with your agent. Those agents can be diabolical please be careful, I suggest that while you are preparing for your interview that you still pled with them that you will pay them their due but that you don’t have money now and that they should cut down the amount they are demanding. Hope this helps.

kdgom66: You must find an excuse to get your passport from them. I don't think you need a copy of the forms they sent to KCC. You need a printed copy of your 1NL and 2NL though. They won't send any mail to KCC to spoil things for you if you continue to fool them by begging them to reduce the money(they will think you intend to pay.)
