Solumtoya: Nah, e go hard o, it's a point-based system and there's a "shortage list" meaning they don't just want graduates, they want graduates skilled enough to fill roles the Country is "short" of. Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand even US, Germany are basically in the Global Skill Market shopping by setting up criteria/hurdles that they believe will sift the best Talents. You'll be surprised that many of the people on MSc programmes are skilled enough to do those jobs but have to just Japa on student visa If they change rules, they'll see what they're looking for |

They making things hard for Suella...... Who is? They were complaining about students coming in but not working skilled jobs They need to first remove that sponsorship requirement and just have graduates work jobs and then proceed to ILR This will mean graduates won't be hunting only jobs with sponsorship and spread across different sectors they actually have interest in |

LagosismyHome: Yeap for me it too long for me , I rather use the married route but recently I saw someone post of how they got their visa using unmarried and even listed what the documents they used.
https://www.nairaland.com/7267459/uk-student-visa-tier-4/67#115761692 Just checked it out, very interesting something "You don't need a marriage you're not ready for to travel with your partner" Think it works better if you're applying together not when one is here and the other is still in 9ja |

LagosismyHome: Yes if you been living together but the burden of proof that you have to produce is a lot. If you have then you are try , google unmarried partner, there lot of info on Google
you’ve been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply https://immigrationbarrister.co.uk/what-is-a-relationship-akin-to-marriage/ Thought of this but then the story story attached to it. Seems it's called common law partner in Canada Looks to me like long thing compared to just doing the registry stuff under 2 hours |

Ticha: I mentioned it o! Where I wrote you will pay Oga Charlie his cut. All income generated in the UK is subject to income tax. Luckily for you because you won't be in the UK and it's just one house, the tax free allowance plus any expenditure will likely leave you with no tax to pay. However once you start scaling up then s24 (make sure you read up on it!) will start to bite. Thanks a lot. I'll look up the s24 now I appreciate! |

Peerielass: You can keep the property if it’s likely you will return to the UK after your various Waka. Otherwise it might be best to sell it before your departure. Time will tell I dont even have a property yet but its just good to know scenarios that may play out in the future Many thanks |

Peerielass: Irrespective of whether you live in the UK or not, any income received in the UK is subject to UK income tax, this includes property income. Please speak to an accountant regarding the non-resident landlord scheme if you decide to pursue this route. I will have to.. Cos it seems it'll be better to just sell off if that's ever the case with my Waka Thank you! |

I happen to be in the tech field with no much years of experience and decided to opt in for a bootcamp to brush up my skills as it offers internship after graduation. Peerielass: In addition to Ticha’s detailed explanation, rental income from your UK property will be subject to income tax even if you are no longer resident in UK. You will need to do a yearly self assessment to cover this and if you do decide to sell it while still abroad, it will also be subject to CGT if the value has appreciated significantly. Income tax? Why??! |
