Huxley, the main problem is that a lot of people (who ordinarily would not be found when its time for serious biblical study) are giving you too much credibility by responding to your posts.

I really don't know why some are crying about huxley "disrespecting" the bible, God didnt commission us to go fight on His behalf. Its high time people like Huxley were starved of the attention they crave, without it his desire for opening up threads on religion (focused hypocritically on christianity only) would fade away.

Did god specifically and deliberately inflict the pain of childbirth on women? Well, according to Genesis 3: 16, he did;

16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."


If this is true, this is the most savage of designs from the our supposed designer. Worldwide thousands of women and children die in the child-bearing process. Was this a justified punishment for eating an apple? Why would a loving god inflict such intolerable pain on innocent children?

What right have you got to read it any other way? This was a specific curse to Eve, and NOT to Adam. There was also a specific curse for Adam.

Alas, I am not surprise. Christians are wont to read and twist the bible any which way to get a message they desire. So what is new?

What do you make of verse 16? Is that not god inflicting the pain of childbirth on the woman?

It isnt the will of God for women to experience much pain or complications during child birth.
I am grateful to God who has given me the oppportunity of hearing testimonies from women who gave birht withou any labour whatsoever.

It happened in the old testament and its still happening in our day. I have witnessed over the past couple of months women givng birth on the prayer line in few seconds without any labour whatsoever @ the Synaguge church of all nations. Imagine watching a live service on TV; the MOG TB Josuah stops the message abrutly, stretching his hand towards a lady with an 11 month pregnancy who came to be prayed for because of certain complications woosh, The water gushed out n then, baby came out right in front of everyone. For the first time i saw a live delivery n in ws a glorious one, in less than 15 seconds.
She was told by d doctors dt she would have to be operated upon as she cldnt deliver normally. And guess what, as d baby came out, we sw d umblical cord wraped around her neck.

Was it not god who curse the female to suffer pain during childbirth, or am I mistaken?

I have the ability of confer protection from illness, ill-luck, poverty, violent incidents (car crashes, gun-shots, etc). If you send me some money I shall send your the bracelet on which these powers have been inscribed.

Read your Bible. You would see that God and Jesus were never ever the same person. God was the Creator, JC his son and the Holy Ghost. Jesus did not become a part of the Holy Ghost until after the resurrection. also, JC didn't become one with God until he suffered death. He was praying to God the Father and the Holy Ghost. After death Jesus formed the blessed trinity, The Father, the son and the Holy Ghost

I tot Jesus was the son and not the Father. But some christians believe that he is also god, the Father.

He reminds his followers "Not even the son knows of the second coming, but the Father"

Who is Jesus referring to as the Father? Was he referring to himself? Could Jesus have forsaken himself?
