Votaw C. W and Amos N. Wilder regarded the gospel as a book, biography, chronicle, memoir or set of reminiscences of Jesus by friends and followers. Half of the New Testament books were contributed by one man, the Apostle Paul, in the epistles he sent to groups of new Christians and to his assistants Timothy and Titus. The Bible closes with a majestic book of visions and dramatic views of the future. It was penned by the aged Apostle John around 95 AD and describes the new heaven and the new earth when God’s kingdom will embrace the universe and all rebellion and death will be a thing of the past. https://www.biblica.com/resources/bible-faqs/when-was-the-bible-written/ À book written circa 100 years after the Sole Source is gone will probably lack coherence because the earlier Christians were illiterate and partisan fishermen, carpenter, etc. There's probability of fabrication of what Jesus did not say or do 1 Like |

Culture / Oyo Twins Festival: 2034 Sets Of Twins Participate by hybraheeem002(m): 7:14am On Oct 14, 2018 |
ABOUT two thousand and thirty-four set of twins and tens of multiple births converged in Igboora, the capital of Ibarapa Central local Government area of Oyo State on Saturday to participate in the maiden edition of the Oyo State Twins Festival. Some of the set of twins from the Local Governments in Ibadan converged at the Cultural Centre in Ibadan as early as 7 am to join the train to Igboora to join counterparts from Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa zones at the Methodist grammar school, Igbo-Ora, Oyo State. The train from Ibadan was met at the entrance of Igboora-Ora town by the Local Government Officials and traditional chiefs from the seven towns that make up Ibarapa where the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Toye Arulogun laid the foundation of the twins tower to commemorate the festival. In his address, Mr. Arulogun said that twins were invited from far and near to celebrate twins and multiple births from Igboora in commemoration of the Twins Festival, saying that the festival was a platform to showcase Igboora town with the unique feature of the highest rate of twins and multiple births in the world. He said that the festival, organised in collaboration with Twins World Creations, Ibarapa Central Local Government, Igboora Progressive Union and the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation, witnessed 2034 set of twins’ registration, adding that the attendance also covered tens of multiple births. Arulogun said that the festival was aimed at placing Igboora on the World map as the World Highest twinning centre, saying that it was also an avenue to promote its predominant meal “Amala and Ilasa”, attributed as the cause of multiple births in the town. He said that government’s effort will place the town and Oyo State in general on the World Map as the foremost twins’ tourism destination in the world, assuring that the state government would not relent in its drive to promote its tourism potentials. In his address, the Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon Habib Ibrahim disclosed that research affirms that Igboora alone can boast of One hundred and fifty-eight (158) sets of twins for every one thousand life births, saying that available evidence attest to the fact that twins are born in Igbooraland more than anywhere else in the world. He said, “A walk through the town can easily attest to this. There is no household without a history of at least a set of twins. This trend has made us not to see twin birth as a special phenomenon in Igboora, as it is elsewhere in the world.” Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers at the event, Oba Jamiu Badmus, the Olu-Aso of Iberekodo, who is also the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, called for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders to sustain the festival, noting that efforts should be made to make it an international one towards making it a tourist event as a means of generating foreign exchange for Nigeria. Celebrities / Small Doctor’s Statement To President Buhari Not Politically Motivated–managemen by hybraheeem002(m): 6:43am On Oct 14, 2018 |
The management team of popular artiste, Temitope Adekunle, aka Small Doctor, has reacted to a viral video where the singer told President Muhammadu Buhari to stop sleeping. During the recent All Progressives Congress convention in Abuja, Small Doctor was invited to perform and while on stage, he said, “Buhari, ye ma sun (Buhari, stop sleeping).” A member of the singer’s management team, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Sunday Scoop that Small Doctor was not worried when he saw the video, as he knew it was not politically motivated. The insider explained, “Small Doctor didn’t do anything unusual while performing at the event. He was there to entertain everyone, which he did. It was not the first time he would be performing the song and we have the video of the event on our devices too. The reaction of President Buhari when he was performing was different from what people saw in the video. They must have edited it.” The source also revealed that Small Doctor was hailed by all the delegates present at the convention after the performance. The source stated, “After Small Doctor performed, everyone enjoyed it and he went to greet some of the delegates, including governors and senators. He couldn’t have greeted Buhari because he was far from him. You can tell that the video was politically masterminded. “When the video first came out, people were saying Buhari was not dancing to the performance. Suddenly, they changed the conversation and said Small Doctor called out Buhari. He didn’t call out anyone; he was there to entertain and not to abuse anyone. “The people that invited us understand that he is an entertainer. Since they didn’t see it as a problem, we didn’t see the need to respond to the report or claim. If Small Doctor had come out to react to it, it would mean he did something bad. When he (Davido) called him a legend for telling Buhari to stop sleeping, we understood what was happening.” ”Copyright PUNCH.
