When you boot up Windows, that's when you see nothing, right? So you see the laptop logo and 'starting windows' before that?

Try booting into safe mode and roll back the graphics drivers. Sounds like you might have somehow forced an incorrect version.

The dove, kingfisher, and crow, are the three I see the most around here. The kingfisher is a bit less common however.

You have to turn absolutely everything to the lowest, because I'm assuming you're on an integrated card.

Turn off anti-aliasing, v-syncing, resolution to the lowest (800x600 me thinks), texture settings to the lowest, and so on. You could play in windowed mode as well.

Probably your cable. The data cables seem to go out first in the USB cables. That's the experience I've had. Try another cable.

I played Dreamfall: The Longest Journey on Xbox, and unfortunately, the story ended abruptly. Left us with a cliffhanger pretty much. I'm hoping this next game will bring a satisfying resolution to the events of the previous game. Even if I don't play it, I'm sure Wikipedia will satiate my curiousity.

I dropped my M5 in water yesterday. Dropped straight to the bottom of a bucket of water.

I turned it off as soon as possible, but before that, the networks went dead, and the red notification light was dimly on.

Took out the trays and left it to dry. It started turning itself on and off after that. About 4 times it turned on, then off. I shook it out and it stopped with that. Lens eventually fogged up.

About 7 hours after the incident, the lenses were clear, and I turned it back on.

Working perfectly. That's what I'm typing this on right now. Speaker, cameras, flash. Everything is fine. Except the charging port requires the plug tilted somehow.

Im impressed with this phone.

It was tough. But in the end we all made it to the top, and it was a memorable experience. Just know, no matter how hard it seems, put yourself into it.

Same way racists aren't jailed. Someone can admit to being a member of the KKK, but that's not basis enough to jail such an individual. It's only in our flawed system where you can be arrested for such things. Kemi Olunloyo wouldn't have been arrested in any saner society.

Nairaland needs moderators because it's on the Internet. It's a forum and it has its rules. Think of it as a club. Clubs have rules. Moderators enforce those rules. Rules are to keep things civil. Nairaland would be one constant Flame War without mods. Anonymity makes everything worse.

If you want people online to be kept in line, you'll need rules, or you'll end up with 4chan.

Your GPU is an Intel HD (Bay Trail) in that case.

It's an integrated card and is not that powerful. It can play only a couple of games from 2014, and even earlier than that isn't very good. Depends on the games, of course, but PES 2017 will definitely be too much for it.

You may have to resort to playing 14 or 15. Maybe even 13 if you're looking for smooth performance. Your laptop isn't built for gaming.

Your RAM should be fine, and a Pentium at that speed might be, well, sufficient... Is this a desktop? Cuz if it is, I'm assuming you're probably on a generic GPU. Built into the mobo, which is usually not very capable, especially not in playing such new titles.

If there's anywhere to turn down the game's graphic or display settings, try and turn everything to low.

Facial scanning is of no use. The main problem is it can be fooled by photographs.

Stick with iris or fingerprint scanning.

Besides, it's only been out for a month, but yes the launch lineup is sparse. My online pals weren't exactly pleased with the PS4 launch selection either, but that eventually got fleshed out.

And let's not go into the graphics again... Not everyone is looking for 4K. It's practically a tablet.
