obailala: Time will tell us the real reason why the case was struck out. As for the refinery, even since the days of OBJ, every year the government releases a budget for TAM, TAM and TAM but we all know nothing comes out of it because the blood sucking fuel import cabals made sure the TAMs were futile. GEJ ruled for 5 complete years and all the TAMs couldn't restore the refineries.
March 28th, Buhari wins the election and the NNPC engineers and directors, certainly out of fear, decide to carry out a proper TAM for the first time in decades. Glory be to God, we have been promised that the refinery would start working at 80% capacity by July/August. Honestly, who should really take the glory for this CHANGE?...
If you could hurriedly lump the blame of the judiciary striking out the case of corruption against Sylva on Buhari's head, I wonder why you can't see the Buhari factor in the unprecedented completion of thye TAM on the PH refinery. By March 28 who still in govt? U try to claim the good part for buahri While still allocating the bad to govt The fact remains GEJ started d rehab of the refinery concluded by GMB tenure Same with the speed train from abj to Kaduna |

obailala: Read my statement again. I did not say he has done those thing, but I am quite positive and have strong faith that he is capable of achieving those. Besides, everyone knows the refineries have not been fixed yet.
As for Sylva, the last time I checked, it was the court that released Sylva so I wonder when Buhari has suddenly become the head of the Nigerian judiciary. Also, remember Buhari hasn't even appointed any ministers yet, in fact he has hardly even taken over the country so if the release of those 2 men was 'arranged' as you allege, then I can bet you Jonathan has a hand in it (probably in a bid to appease his biggest political enemy closest to his home). Last month a publication came out that pH refinery will be functional by July before nnpc confirmed it yesterday which means jona administration did the rehabilitation Festus keyamo withdraw from rep govt in the case against sylva, d following week DPP (if am right but a commission that deals with corruption) withdraw 18 charges, den court struck out the case Festus Nd falana belong to apc Nd yet GEJ was behind it |

obailala: Buhari is obviously not perfect and we all know his shortcomings too well. There's no doubt he would even make many more of these errors in future.
However, as long as he can instill fear in the petrol import cabal that has grounded our refineries for decades, as long as he can ensure our 4 refineries are working at over 80% capacity, he totally has my support.
Also, as long as he can instill fear in the cabal that grounds NEPA, If he can improve power supply in this Country, then he surely has my support.
Finally, as long as his presence at the presidency can instill discipline in the public service and reduce the diabolic corruption of public officials, he totally has my support.
If he can achieve the 3 things i mentioned above (I'm sure he can), then I can happily overlook it if he even speaks hausa when addressing the nation or even foreigners.
Some needs are more pressing than others biko. He fix pH refinery in 2 weeks? Which power supply increase I beg? "check my electric pole to see Weda ibidec has not disconnected my house" Cuz no light since Thursday morning (7am) I can see hw his presence has help criminal likes sylva and nyako to be walking free |

Politics › Disgrace!!!:pdp Begs NEMA To Donate Food To Osun Workers by HzRF(op): 3:22am On Jun 12, 2015 |
The Peoples Democratic Party has called on the National Emergency Management Authority to donate relief materials, especially food, to workers in Osun State because of the non-payment of their salaries for the past seven months. The Director of Media and Strategy of the PDP in Osun State, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, made the appeal in a statement in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday. The party praised the Christian Association of Nigeria for rallying support for the workers but that the mobilisation of aid for the state workers could not be left for CAN alone to bear. The PDP also directed its members to begin to bring foodstuff to the party’s secretariats in all the local government areas in the state for onward distribution to the workers. It said, “The situation in the state requires much more than what religious bodies can cope with. We are calling on the National Emergency Management Authority, Red Cross Society and well- meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of the workers in the state. “The situation of unpaid salaries is so bad that many of those in the employment of government have now resulted to begging to feed their family while many have attempted to hang themselves. “On Wednesday, a man slumped and died in broad daylight at the popular Olaiya Junction, Osogbo, after begging for money to buy drug, albeit unsuccessfully from the traders around and the passersby. “The man openly shouted that his relatives that usually give him money to buy drugs have not been paid salaries for months. The sad aspect of the story is that the corpse was left at the spot where he foamed and bled through the mouth for a day before his remains was evacuated. “We also have it on good authority that many of these helpless workers have been evicted from their rented apartment while many others are said to be considering suicide.” http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-begs-nema-to-donate-food-to-osun-workers/ |

Politics › Aggrieved Nigerian Senators Tell Buhari To Sanction NASS Clerk-TVC by HzRF(op): 10:00pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
Aggrieved Senators of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) have appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to sanction the clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa for disenfranchising 51 senators from voting and also for disobeying a presidential directive to postpone the Senate inauguration by a few hours. In a chat with parliamentary correspondents, the senators sympathetic to the Ahmad Lawan faction, vowed to upturn the election of Senate President, Bukola Saraki noting that Chapter 2 of the Standing Order of the senate as amended in Section 3(2)(k) under Presiding officers states that "all Senators-elect shall participate in the nomination and voting for President and Deputy President of the Senate". http://tvcnews.tv/?q=article/aggrieved-nigerian-senators-tell-buhari-sanction-nass-clerk |

lastpage: I just saw your post now and will respond:
Why try to shift the time of the election the last minute because of party crisis? : Party crisis wil always be there. Thats is why it is a party (a collection of selfish and greedy individuals, especially with the acceptance of those PDP Vultures who came along when Buhari won the election!) Shifting the election is for the party to finalise and tell its members that "Collectively, this is the person we have chosen to fill our slot for the Senate presidency, e.t.c. As the head of the Party, Buhari has the option to address his constituents at the last minute. Parties all over the world, do this. Go into the history of the repubs and Democrats in America for example and you wil see a litany of this type of action. It is NOT WRONG.
Why will the said 51 senators neglect the election hoping that pmb will shift it till they resolve their crisis?: They DID NOT NEGLECT the election. The election was supposed to be held at 11am (as per the Presidential order given earlier to the Clerk). Would you actually believe yourself, that they deliberately "tried to be absent, so that PDP can use "wayo" for them"? Give me a honest answer, pls. Moreover, what kind of "election" holds without the presence of 51 Senators (out of 109) who are supposed to participate? Is it a case of "simple majority".... or there has to be a QUORUM of 2/3rds majority, to elect officers? Do you mean it can even be acceptable if when Senators are on Holidays, ten of them gather together and "change" their leadership? How would Saraki "wield authority" when these large numbers of Senators did not participate in his election?
The senators are they there to serve party interest or self interest or Nigeria interest?: Whether we like it or not, when it comes to "House elections" within the Chambers of the House, the Ruling Party ALWAYS have the top spot. Why was Pelosi (Democrat) replaced by jack Buener (Republican) when the Democrats lost the majority of the house? Why was David Mark Sen. president when PDP has the majority in the house and was the ruling party?
Does that amount to serving "party interest" or is it only when it is APC that you draw this kind of conclusion?
Now, as to your other "comments", l will let them pass because l believe you are just talking out of sentiments. You want to behave like an "Ostrich and Chameleon" merged together, .......changing color when it suits you and burying your head in the sand, pretending the world has come to an end!
Chillax! The matter is in court l presume?
Lastpage!
BTW: I am not biased.... you may not like my position but be assured that it is "highly informed". Quit the epistle Law guiding the Senators under first sitting stated FIRST SITTING OF THE SENATE http://www.senatorarise.com/senaterules.html#chapter22.-(1) On the first sitting of a new Senate, pursuant to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senators-elect shall assemble at the time and place so appointed. U trying to prove presidency going beyond his jurisdiction on the happenings in the legislative arm of govt is right Keep it up Buhari is nt empowered to shift Senate session |
