I have never understood the reason to beat kids in schools. There can never be any justifiable reason as far as I am concerned. Beating never ever resolves anything. This should be treated as criminal offence.

Just like apocalypse said, you need to evaluate your expenses against your earnings. Also factor in how much you spend on transportation against the expenses you will incur in having and maintaining a car. All those should assist you in arriving at a solution.

While I in no way support what your wife has done, issues are NEVER as one sided as we make them seem.

It is very interesting to note that money issues contribute very much to the making or breaking of marriages. Funny enough while listening to the radio yesterday, this same money matter was what was being discussed. The question was would you vote for a joint account and would you want to know or demand to know how much your partner earns?
All kinds of responses showed clearly that no one has an handle on these things. However, one caller said since he'd been married for 13 years, his wife handles all the finances in the home and he has had peace with the arrangement.Some others said lailai!

I'm not saying its right or wrong, all I'm saying is everyone has their own views on this matter. All I know is your wife is your partner for life! Not someone you live with or someone who is just there sha. Many of us get it wrong here, husbands and wives alike. And until we change the way we think about our marriages, things like this will continue to happen. We should not even equate this with househelps, hanging with the boys or whatever. However, I dare say it is your attitude to her and money that has caused what is happening to you. Until you seriously have a paradigm shift in the way you think about money in your marriage, then you will have issues.
Truth of the matter as has been said is that women have needs that must be met, even if its something as simple as buying sanitary towels. DO you seriously expect her to come to you each time? Plus she may not intentionally be defrauding you, some people will just round off the numbers without meaning to be dishonest. There are too many scenarios that could lead to why she did what she did (still not justifying her actions though).

My suggestion to this is create an account for her allowance as you both agree upon. That way, you dont have to fume over change or what she is asking you.
