yes. e to signify that its an online thing and 360 to show what we are trying to do with turning around situations.

But r231 has spoken.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by jaybee3(m): 12:30pm On Dec 12, 2011
E-helpers simply because it accurately defines who we are and how we've evolved.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Nobody: 12:37pm On Dec 12, 2011
e-Helper. . .wink

Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by ronkebp(f): 4:33pm On Dec 12, 2011
''E- helpers'' not bad at all.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Afam4eva(m): 6:31pm On Dec 12, 2011
As an SEO expert, i think we should name it e-charity instead of e-helpers.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by soreola(f): 11:21pm On Dec 12, 2011
e360, be the change you want to see!

Can you please give us more of your expert explanation on why you think so?

^^Thought we were to conclude the name thing by yesterday.

OAM4J:

It means that if and when the Nairaland charity gets its own website (A good idea if in the future, the charity decides to seek donations from other online users further afield) The website will be highly ranked in search engine results and a lot more people will hear/see/be aware of it

As for the technical stuff behind all of this, I beg to pass. I leave that for the experts wink
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by OAM4J: 4:00pm On Dec 13, 2011
^Makes sense.

I had wanted us to settle for e-Helpers, but ladies and gentlemen should we change it to e-Charity?

Please lets conclude this today so we can move on to other things.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by ronkebp(f): 4:51pm On Dec 13, 2011
Anyone goes, we can change it to ''e- charity'' that makes sense too.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Jarus(m): 5:09pm On Dec 13, 2011
I'm fine with either.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by yamakuza: 5:22pm On Dec 13, 2011
A lot of these names are not unique, as a quick search on Google will reveal.

It might be necessary to append something extra.

I doubt one can register just e-charity or e-helpers at CAC sef.

I believe we can allow for more suggestions/refinements and also accomodate other matters in stride.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Nobody: 5:28pm On Dec 13, 2011
A name is very important and I think that we should spend time putting heads together and getting it right. A name is not something that we will be changing anytime soon.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by yamakuza: 5:41pm On Dec 13, 2011
Is the name going to be registered at CAC, [s]or we just need something to refer to ourselves by[/s]?
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Nobody: 7:02pm On Dec 13, 2011
e-360 means taking a full turn and returning to your original/start-up point

e-180 is much much better. Taking a turn from the South pole and now facing to North pole wink wink
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by Radiant(f): 7:17pm On Dec 13, 2011
e-180 Helpers, e-180 Charity ?

If it's not registered with the CAC, opening a bank account for the sake of receiving donations, and funds might be pretty difficult. Most banks request for CAC certificate. smiley so it's really not a bad idea to start thinking towards a name that is 'approvable' by CAC.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by DisGuy: 8:45pm On Dec 13, 2011
'charity' is a bit tooo undecided

helpers sounds more involved, not just a money donation scheme people get tired of so many of them

whatever names its called it will always be visible as long as the impact is felt

after all the Donkey Sanctuary gets millions a year from dedicated patrons

Assuming that the charity will eventually have its own website, My 2 cents are that you want something short enough and easy enough to spell so that people can type the name into their browser and the page comes up without having to search all over google for it.

The e-Helpers Initiative or Network is cool, to me.

THE e-HELPERS NETWORK(TeHN) pronounced as 10.
Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by yamakuza: 10:25am On Dec 14, 2011
^ [s]tehn.org is taken, so it might just be tehn.org.ng or tehnng.org[/s]

I wonder why the 180e and e360 advocates are silent?

[s]charitye180.org and charitye360.org are both available for THE

Charity e365 Organisation

At this rate, even if we get additional suggestions, i doubt they'll get as many votes as e-helpers, unless they are overly fantabulous.

If Afam, CC and others agree, i guess its safe to take a poll on:

1. The e-Helpers Initiative

2. The e-Helpers Network

3. The e360 Helpers Network

4. 9lands 9lives Network
All Seasons Projects Charity

5. The Big Smiles Charity, Nigeria

[s]and then we run a CAC/domain search on the top 2 or 3.[/s]
