It's possible an indigenes knows next to nothing about his state. An Ondo man born in a posh family in Lagos or even in ondo may not know anything about Ondo. From Lagos he moves to LA or London.

So who told you Epe, Ikorodu, Isolo, Isheri, ibeju etc didn't exist as towns just like Ibadan and Owerri before the idea of Lagos State was forced on them by the military government.
