Angeldemivida: Hey, this thread just reminded me of my primary school mate that this kind of issue caused great unhappiness in their home. Mum woke up one day and started covering head all the time and attending a church that is different from the whole family. There was always disharmony as father and mother hardly agrees on issues anymore. Mother always bring in strict strict ideas that made the children unhappy too.

Husbands! close up on your wife real good before they take them away from your home with crazy religious beliefs with this religious madness going on in Nigeria. In this case that the idea has already been imbibed in her, poster try to kinda help her unlearn. Have a liberal woman pastor (who preaches the word of God and still know the importance of looking beautiful and feminine) speak to her. They can help her unlearn her new found belief that she is hugging to heart like that. Forcefully or rashly speaking and nagging her about it can only make her run deeper into it all because in her mind's eyes she believes that now she has seen the light.
Anoda beautiful suggestion

seagullbabz: The things u say without researching about it. Israel has always been in the forefront of weapons development, that's why the USA made them allies and they sponsor the development. Its coz after d researches, US will then have theirs made...so I beg to differ, it's not copycat. no one sponsors a copy cat research.
that's is attributed to their generations of fighting.. It has only made them more tatical and developed more skills in the offensive

Normality: Women and church fanatism ehn, to the best of my knowledge, Bible doesn't condemn a woman from looking her best in moderate body covering clothes, even Bible made use of "ornaments", telling women to beautify themselves with these things.

It's not a sin to dress good, but in a moderate way not one that reveals any sensitive part of your body or seducing in any way.

Your wife has received serious brainwashing and as the case is always with women, she will be so mad passionate about this new found way of life until she becomes tired, almost nothing will make her go back, just step back, relax and see her tell herself d truth in a short while.
Do nothing that will ruin the sanctity of ur marriage sir.

Peace!!
OP follow this advice!!

lastpage: Op,

I want you to come out and tell us/me that there is more to what is bordering you than "How she dresses".

I know this and l can smell it from a thousand miles but l appear to be the only one thinking along this line (abi l dey crase nii sef? shocked )

Pause and think, look inwards and try to figure out what you think its really is. (Maybe you already know anyway)

The fact that "cheating" crossed your mind indicates that you have thought "long and far".

I referred to "change in loyalty" in my previous post (and that is a gamut of things in itself) but it is a summary of the whole show.

I remember this saying: "If you love me, you will do almost anything to make me happy". True-dat!!

Finally, this issue is not about "religion" at all ...... its just that the Op's wife manifested her "change of loyalty" 'religiously'.

My warning to all married men, guard your wife/husband from the over-reaching influence of these MOG's, for by the nature of their 'business', it is normal for them to seek "unfeterred loyalty", like from a Dog to its owner. That is what makes the business grow (or how do you explain an unemployed young man who goes to church to clean Pastors office at 9am in the morning (when all his mates are out looking for job, writing aptitude tests, doing interviews or even prowling the web for possible job offerings), returns at 5pm in the evening and is back in church again at 7pm (for digging deep) and then goes back home by 9:30pm only to be back again at midnight (for Night Vigil)?

Is that not total submission/loyalty to the control of a fellow man?

As they do to the young man, so they expect from your/our wives (They know married men are a bit stubborn).

They will employ all sorts of gimmicks to divert and re-direct the loyalty of spouses to themselves and against the other spouse.
I've seen it happen countless number of times in different churches.

Some call it 'faith', some call it 'total submission' to the will of 'gwod', some call it 'surrender' and all sort of funny-funny acronyms.

This man must by now have accepted that he has "lost his wife".
His post is just all about easing the pain and agony of that sudden realization.
The "cheating part" is actually just a mask, it has nothing to do with the problem he is facing.

So saad. But That is life for you. Man-up and take it on the chin. Stay focused because its actually not the end of life but the beginning of life in anew chapter and on a different level.

if need be, you will file for Divorce in the future but until then, dont cheat (it has repercussions and its never a justification for what you went through)
abandonment and denial of conjugal bliss is a valid ground, even inthe sight of the creator who implanted such needs into us, a priori.

Dygeasy: That is where y'all are getting it wrong. I'm not supporting his wife. But did y'all pause to wonder how much she has been supposedly 'BRAINWASHED'?

The OP here says he has tried many means possible to get her to change and she's not budging. He's here cos he's frustrated.

Now if after the millions of 'angelic' advices that have been offered here in the past 48 hours his wife still remains the same, the OP goes out and cheat. It's that simple.

Africans always want to hear what they wish to. Not the truth.
I said the same thing.. But rather than cheat.. If they can't agree and the heat is getting too much they have to divorce

MadCow1: Mark 6:22-25New International Version (NIV)

22 When the daughter of[a] Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.

The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”

“The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.

25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”

Herodias danced and pleased the King and for that she was able to make him kill and behead John the Baptist.. Does that make any Woman who dances a Bad woman?!

Jezeebel used her make-up to enhance her beauty to attract Samson for neferious plan to work. Its like a Man using his Range Rover to attract a Woman for sex. Does that now make range Rovers Bad?!

The Make-up was not what made Jezeebel bad.

Dont get that twisted. The make-up was a means to an end.

It's either she changes or he cheats.

Currently there is plan to move the capital away from Accra.

You are right on that..something like abuja in the center .. The plans have already been set down.. Also there is going to be a new internation airport in prampram accra.. To ease the stress on the main accra metropolis.. the plans for that place are beautiful and sustainable..it will also house the hope city among others..

You should read the honest comments of Ghanians on the Ghana webpage to know this list is biased.

If you need honest suggestions I suggest u move to ghana thread on skyscraper city and not ghanaweb.. I visit ghanaweb just to read news.. But the comments there make me wonder if those people r ghanaians .. Never seen such degrading behaviour.. Well accra might not be number one or even 2 as they mentioned. But it deserves a spot cos there are things as as city they still try to get right.. Abuja is beautiful.. But to me it does not really have an identity. And expensive too.. The boko boys have also raised insecurity levels which give abuja a red flag

RickyRoss1: bc from my experience over 70% of Ghanians believe that Nigerians eat human beings, am talking about both illiterates and educated Ghanians, only the few ones who have been to Nigeria know this to be false.
Well a friend asked me the same thing when I was back there..and she is no illiterate.. I asked her in suprise who told her all this things..she said a nigerian said it..and that all the degratory nonsense seen on home videos happens for real.. He emphasized on the ritual killings and all that.. That's one mistake we make over here.m there has to be proper control of the media..such news r not suppose to get out..sadly it was done by a nigerian.. Now she vowed never to step into nigeria

Gbawe: @Topic.

Accra deserves accolades as a very "livable" City by African standards. As far as I can tell, in my over 10 years association with the City, it has always been like that comparative to other populous African Cities. Whether some like it or not, it means Ghanaians are doing certain things right others can learn from. Although it must be said that Ghana's challenges are different to that of Nigeria. Lagos, for example, has challenges that means Accra is unlikely to serve as a model for conquering the greatest problems of the State.
u r right tho.. I have a list of projects that have been proposed to change accra..with that accra will be competing with jobuirn and other famouuus cities .. Buut this present mayor of accra and incumbent will block this dreams from coming to pass.. If you see the artistic impression of korle lagoon.. You will smile.. But they have been collecting millions of dollars for that place.. Yet nothing
