Let's get some points clear. This whole misunderstanding between the two nations is immature and uncalled for. Leila djansi is a movie producer, and she is airing her personal views and not on behalf of Ghanaians. As you well know there are a lot of Ghanaian acts that star in Nigerian movies. If they were to think other wise you will not see them acting with Nigerians. It's a constructive criticism that should be replied back constructively. Seeing it as Ghana trying to claim bragging right or make comparisons does not make sense. And that's what JiggamanGh tried to clear out. But it's always seen as an attack. Be of a clear judgement

I actually watched all the documentary I think on TVC and what Stella was addressing is just a tip outta many. That lady said a whole lot of bad stuffs including nollywood having a single story line, actors portraying a single character in various movies and all. It was kinda true buh the solution she suggested was like we should throw away our history by changing the name so to change the way the industry is viewed.. That's what I will never support cos a whole lot of people got us where we are and people like tunde kelani and the afolayans where among this people that start the industry and still in the quest for correcting any negative impression it once had and will never want that kind of solution. The National Director of Information, MASSOB, Sunny Okereafor, had said two weeks ago that the passport was valid worldwide, adding that the travel document costs N5,000 while its renewal costs N2,000

He had said, “I assure you that the Biafran passport is valid. Except Nigeria, other countries of the world accept Biafran passport and allow our citizens to travel with it. In Europe, North and South America, Biafran passport is accepted. Nigeria is the only country that seizes Biafran passport. Go to neighbouring Ghana here, they will stamp the passport for you. Don’t be confused by the propaganda of the Nigerian government that there is nothing like Biafra passport.

“MASSOB appeals to Biafran citizens to procure their passport and use it to travel. If you doubt me, get a Nigerian passport while I have my Biafran passport; when we get to Europe, you will see who they will welcome than the other. Many people with the Nigerian passport have been repatriated, but have you heard of anybody with Biafran passport receiving such ill-treatment?”

However, our correspondent sent an email to the American consulate in Lagos to inquire from the US regarding the claim of MASSOB.

In his response, the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the consulate, Frank Sellin, said, “The United States does not consider passports purporting to be from a Biafra entity to be a valid legal document for purposes of visa issuance.”

A similar response from the British Government was sent to via email.

The UK recalled that it did not support the disintegration of Nigeria during the 1967 Biafran War and had not changed its stance 49 years after.

Remember that the West African gas line project covers all of west Africa, or most part and extends to some north African countries, it was meant to be a joint project with countries contributing to the project, although Nigeria being the source offered to contribute the largest sum.

I should remind you that Ghana was unable to meet its financial obligations for the project. Nigeria's then president, Obasanjor built that phase of gas pipe line for Ghana.

Thus Ghana supplying gas is a mere wish.

You should get your facts right so as not to come up here and mislead people and sound like an ignoramus , the West Africa Gas Pipeline is only connected to Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo and ghana. Not the 'whole West Africa' and some parts or any part of 'North Africa'.
