First, you can never satisfy their wants, secondly they might have been used and you will end up inheriting kwandem ayon ( condemned iron) Zulatuwa! I wonder who will marry these girls if the so called Yahoo boys don't. |

einsteine: In a poor country like Nigeria, women are more likely to be materialistic. So long as the man provides, the actual way he provides, is not of importance. The only time the woman would be critical of his escapades/crimes is if he is caught and punished for his crimes. So long as he stays "uncaught" and the moolah flows, everything is ok.
@OP, they feel quite fine, trust me. I am assuming the women in question are dating "successful" yahoo boys. What I normally asked these so called Yahoo guys is, if I played your beloved mum a 100k and she told you about it crying and rolling on the ground, how will you feel? Most time they will tell me is life na, I will then shake my head and conclude within me, these guys are not fair enough. Another question, you married a Yahoo guy and had kids for him, what if those children are of aged and decide to ask what daddy do for a living what did you think will be the response or what will you tell those kids about dad occupation. |

And they went to use it for arm robbery.
Then police going after mr A Saying it's his vehicle... when he has changed ownership.
He has no idea, about the situation...all he did was to sell his Facebook account to survive the hardship of this county.
It's his account. Selling your vehicle is totally different because you're not owning anything pertaining the vehicle, you even make mention of signed papers, I think that's says it all. Legally you're not the owner or the vehicle. For the Fb, did they sign any papers? who knows maybe at this time the FB account may contain some of the details of the first owner which may implicate anyone. |

Why arrest someone for selling his own property, how was he to know they gon use it for fraud. Selling your property at the detriment of others? What should come to mind when anyone request for your social media details is what on Earth would he/she gain from it. The very first time I heard someone saying I am looking for FB to buy, I knew immediately that something is gonna play wrongly. |

Slimslimqq: Good evening elders.
A friend of mine needs urgent advice before taking a bold step.
He relocated to south Africa 6 years ago, and since he traveled he has been sending home some amount of money to help his father complete his house.
So last year, unfortunately his father died and has since been buried.
He just arrived from south Africa since then. Now he wants to renovate his fathers house to 3 bedroom flat because he's planning to marry next year, He's not returning to south Africa.
But, his mom declined and said she won't allow him take over the house from her, though he promised to rent an apartment for her but declined.
Now this has caused a lot of problem between the mother and son, because the son claims he built d house to that stage but the mother is claiming she is his mother and the wife to the late owner(father).
He's planning on taking drastic steps which I have advised him against, but he seems not to understand everything I'm saying.
I told him about nairaland, that there are experienced people who will give him d best advise and he's given me a go ahead.
I will be sending these page link to him, so he can hear from d public and then know what to decide.
He needs your sincere advise.
Thanks
Please help us help a brother Sometimes I begin to wonder why some people behave as if they don't have a sense of reasoning, this is the person who birth you and now you've grown to the extent of challenging her. Or is there anything about the house you're not letting us know. |

It's wrong because we Africans have our own unique ways of doing things. Doing it in a society where there is a lots of follow up is good but not in Nigeria. Those children would want to practice it one day as kids. A very good example, how many parents do follow up, like after the kids returns from school asking them vital questions like, what they were taught or even checking their notebooks. |

Career › Re: How Do You Think Young People Can Network Better? by IAMPEDRO: 6:08pm On Aug 01, 2021 |
zanshi: One thing they never told us back in Uni was how to maximise networking well enough in our social circle for career advancement, Ahmadu Bello University amongst a few, seems to be only higher level institution in my opinion that has utilized career networking to the fullest , ensuring every ex student of theirs is pushed to the top of their careers. You see them everywhere from ex ministers to governors to directors in federal government parastalls. That is to say, there must be something aside academia that is being instilled in Ahmadu Bello University students that makes them strive for excellence outside the four walls of the university.
I would like to trim my focus of Gen-Z and Millennials as to how we can do better in this regard. I went to a good private school both for High school and University, and i can tell you for a fact that i only maintain decent relationship with a few of my ex classmates and this is partly because some silly reasons some still hold dear to their hearts, ego, malice to name a few. Even when i was in high school i never got along with all of my classmate even though i feel some of them behave obnoxious, silly and arrogant. University wasn't any different a lot of boys in my class never really mingled with any of our classmates even when i reach out to some of my friends and ask if they heard from any of our ex classmates, they say aside from me, they haven't heard from anyone else. I have also tried reaching to classmates i haven't heard from and the experience left a sour taste in my mouth because some of them feel you are practically doing too much. While this are situations that i have experienced, this is not far fetched from what a lot of my friends in my circle have experienced too.
One important lesson i learnt from networking with people is that it can plug you into a plethora of opportunities you may never have taught of. I made my first million supplying Agro allied by reaching out to someone who kept telling me "NO" more than 3 times and when i wen to him the fourth, he taught to the A to Z of the trade. A friend of my dad who worked in cooperate finance as a mid level staff got to work with people installing mast in eastern Nigeria by just reaching out to a friend back in high school, today as i speak, he got built his mansion under 3 months which was worth about N70m. I Opportunities abound around us dear young people, but if we can put ego aside and be willing to work as part of something that brings value, regardless of whether we get credit for it or not. One other lesson young should also try and imbibe is that we may at certain point in our lives drop the "Solo" mentality of me doing it by myself and no help needed and be willing to join forces to bring a business or idea to life. Financing a business these days is tough work, and we should be willing to join our resources with others to bring a business into life. A lot of young people also need to create the "atmosphere to be accessible", the wrong attitude can fend people off of your because they may find your attitude too toxic for them. "But if we can put ego aside and be willing to work as part of something that brings value, regardless of whether we get credit for it or not" Starting from my kindergarten KG/preschool, primary school, secondary and my University. I have a WhatsApp group for each, although when friends added me to the WhatsApp group, I was like what will I get/gain here, i was like abegi no be all those guys wey dey carry body as if say Dem no dey shit. On another hand, I immediately realize that there is something to learn from every single soul. Today by his grace the reunion is stronger than anything most importantly I was very happy to hear from my old friends. Whether good or bad I love them but I know my boundaries. Op most of us don't know how to keep this circle call friends. Certainly, I will wrong you or you wrong me but we should over look those things and move on. |
