This is for the man that told us that he does not pay tithe, but helps the less privileged. Deuteronomy 26:12 New International Version (NIV) When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied. You are really doing well. |

Horrible mindset!!! It is a shame on our immigration officers. They treat foreigners with respect but despise their own people. |

OgogoroFreak: Thing is, the "our own" needs to be able to at least, meet standard first.
They stopped importation of rice for us to "support" our locally made stone rice. To make matters worst, people started buying the stone rice cos they have no choice, instead of them to improve on the rice, they started inflating the price with no improvement at all. Same situation in almost all the locally made products in Nigeria.
I got some clothes from USA. The quality was just wow. I got some locally made clothes too but didn't wear them twice before I gave them out. Funny thing is, the locally made ones are even more expensive than the high quality I got from USA.
Quality sells itself. You must have bought poorly processed rice. My family has just finished a bag of local rice without a single stone found in it. We got another one and shared some bags for my wife's customers. I agree the locally produced rice are expensive but very nutritious. |

Theconglomerate: And do you mind telling me that magic that has happened that will make the price of oil stay low for over a year or even drop more? It has started rebouncing already as we speak. The only thing that can frustrate crude is alternative energy. Have you not been following the current wave of countries preaching to its citizens how they just have to learn to live with coronavirus? Don't that tell you that economies will soon open FULLY,covid19 or not? The same argument I had with a guy this morning. I said crude oil has seen the lowest of low and I don't think it will go low again. |

Theconglomerate: It can be true if you look at a particular situation critically. There are over 40 million alumajiri in the north that basically lick plates after others have eaten and beg for akara and sing up and down out there,so how hard can it be to see another 42 million people up there that don't see up to 400 naira to feed daily? I agree with you. If he had localised it to a particular region outside southern part of the country, I may partially agree to that statistics. |

Enyinne: If any woman wants to go into joint ownership of property , she should be able to follow up in all angles and protect her interest both in legal and family wise . If possible work hard and invest on your own as most men nowadays are looking for soft landing in relationship with opposite sex . I’m a victim , lost a property in ogudu bought 2012 cost then 12m naira for full plot , I didn’t follow up as I was believing my ex is protecting my interest . Later I found out he only used his name to secure the property even though I contributed 60% of the value. Now am wiser and better .#Women beware# Thank you for sharing your experience here. |

Freciprocal: A lot of women are clearly beclouded by emotions.
The response of a few ladies to Pa emanuelewumi's question has shown this fact.
A lot are always defensive when it comes to questions that pertains to men and women. I can call this a "Nigerian factor"
Ladies that have been privilege to stay abroad actually have a different and better perspective, because by default oyibo mentality about women encourages female empowerment and financial independence. They did not know. |

Theconglomerate: Internet prices I guess. Nigeria just discounted those things a whole lot as they have a lot of oil floating all over the place with no storage. This was Thursday this week, even though there is a lot of optimism that prices might go higher a little for them this week. Vessels used as storage charging their fees by the day. There is one thing called quote and another thing called market REALITY. You are not forced to believe me as I am not here to convince anyone.. No reason to doubt what you just said. |
