What rate does your mallam buy usd?
Are you able to withdraw cash too and sell?
My friend sold his USD at N470 last week, but I have neither sold nor withdrawn USD this month.

Speculators,not black market.
Nothing concern mallam and dorm account, especially in times like these.
Speculators won't be able to withdraw to sell at black market rate which is true, but mallams aka BDC do cash most times or have their compatriots in other countries doing "wire" for them so how does this affect them? undecided
It even favours them because the harder it is for you to get your legit dollars, the more he can hike his selling price.
Na 480 right now as we dey yarn laidis cool
Not all of them. I can transfer to my aboki BDC account from my dom account and I get Naira cash.

You guys keep making the same mistake over and over again.
Forget nominal value, what should matter to you is purchasing power.
Some people won't stop making that same mistake. The purchasing power of a currency matters most.

Bro today's Nigerian youths are lazier than your average black American.

In fact u copy the worst of them.

Betting , drugs, degeneracy has become the order of the day .

There's no political consciousness or any movement to change things yet you think you're better than the black American who fought an oppressive force for hundreds of years.

Plus why do you feel so entitled to oyinbos lands?

They see u how u see urselfs and want none of it.
Nigerian youths are not lazy.

To those still leaving paying jobs to travel abroad on top harsh weather for greener pasture, may this pix not be your portion. This is France and Nigerians are hustling real hard. When they arrive naija with one convertible which is either stolen or bought with a decade long hustle, you that is living large here will feel oppressed. Be contented and increase your hustle. Most of us are better than them.
Are you sure?

Yup
Indeed

Despite being an igbo man myself

I dont mind being buried in the vicinity i died

If that would put less strain on the kids.

As long as the burial was decent enough
Are you serious? Most Igbo I know always kick against being buried outside Igbo land.

Are they supporting him or just only him will bear the expenses? That bill is too much for a family that their heads are just a little above the water.

Funeral service is now a big business in Lagos. People pay for their caskets 20 years before they die. The companies even have halls for funeral service, they also have clergymen who they use for their customers. You don't need to get from your church or mosque
My friend's father paid for everything (casket, pall-bearers, food, drink, musician etc.) before he died.

Reason why we will keep on struggling in this part of the world.

If they can afford it no big deal, but putting unnecessary expenses on people is what I frown at..

My boss who happened to be the president of s foremost professional body in Nigeria died and over N20 million was budgeted for his funeral.

Nobody was disturbed nor taxed, a fund that was generating interest of 10% per annum was set up for that purpose with an insurance company.

As a matter of fact your invitation card for funeral came with the Aso Ebi for free.
Exactly. Few persons that can afford it will contribute the major chunks. The rest can support if they so wish. What he left behind is enough to bury him but we will not use his money for the burial.

how much is each person contributing?
General contribution varies from 1 - 1.5m. Individuals may spend twice that amount. My budget alone is 2.5m, I won't spend above this figure no matter what happens.

Please can some explain to me the rationale behind huge burial expense in edo state or southern Nigeria ....my friend is about to bury his mum and expense is currently 3.9m but his sisters are still requesting another 900k to buy 3 cows ....it is a norm or they are trying to extort money from him since he aboard....
It depends. The one we are planning may cost us close to 10 - 12m, though it is a pretty large family. Musician alone is around 1.7m.

I need some advice my people. This four flat house is selling for 20 mill in bashorun Ibadan.

Rent is 350k, is this a good idea?
20m is not bad for a property like this in Bashorun. You can still price it 18 - 19m.

Always have and know when more money is useless to you as a person. Stop chasing excess money and building refinery at old age for the sake of profit. You can build for sake of humanity but definitely not more profit at a certain age. Life is short and must be enjoyed. The life circle is funny, we are getting back to where we came from and we have limited time. Use it to benefit your self. At a certain age, go to sleep and enjoy your hustle, don't hustle at old age except you failed to do that during your first half. Every hustle during your second half reduces your lifespan.

Ok ooo, no problem but remember when I was junkying in the streets, I never did oil and gas but tapped into opportunities that I know abound almost everywhere in naija.

At this juncture, after graduation, young lad pick your bag and run to Lagos.
It is Village Vs City, and not village Vs Lagos now.
