seyisanya: Just to add to Pa Emma's post, these rates fluctuate and one shouldn't just open an account with any of them simply based on their current rate. There was a time Stanbic MMF had the best rate, then AxaMansard, then FBNQuest. From my observation, on average, their rates seem to be very close in the long run. Thank you. |

emmanuelewumi: As at yesterday these are the rates for Money Market Funds, with the three firms I have dealings with.
1.FBN Asset Management 5.3%
2.FSDH Asset Management 6.19%
3.United Capital Asset Mgt 7.23%
Rates are determined by the proportion and duration of Treasury Bills, Commercial papers, FG bonds and Fixed deposits, they have in their portfolios.
The rates are poor but still better than buying Treasury Bills, MMF are also more flexible Thank you, Elder; this is not bad. Let me contact them for account opening. |

Tabuse20: Educate us please: what is Rwanda's GDP? I know of Botswana's. Have you visited Rwanda before? It is not all social media please. I for one is very happy that a few African countries are making progress. If this can spur our useless leaders to do better, then maybe we can reach our own potential one day.
Modified: nobobdy said Rwanda is heaven on earth. They are doing better than us in some aspects, period. You are correct. I actually don't like going into argument here. I worked directly with the government of Rwanda for more than one year. One will weep for Nigeria if you see how Rwanda government works; some would say Paul Kagame is a dictator, he is this or that .. |

A while country will build an ordinary computer lab, take the pictures and upload to the internet. You people will be here shouting Rwanda is heaven on earth.
Don't let crispy PR images and articles deceive you. Maybe you are right. My assessment is based on what I saw in my one year of living in Rwanda. It is not just about social media assessment. |

Thanks for your kind info You can't get 10% interest even on 364 days tenor. See the result of the last auction below: 91 days - 1.85% 182 days - 2.5% 364 days - 3.8% Use it to calculate your expected interest. Note that all the interests are calculated per annum. |

Buy land in an area where you have like minds and you belong to about the same social class. My first mistake in life was not building my house where people of like minds reside. They view everything we do from the other side of life. My Mrs can't even buy a car that befits her status. |

Ajet001: The ones whose dream is to buy a Roll Royce.
There's this phrase I find very offensive "Olowo majaye eyin le mo, awon to jaye lana da won ti ku won ti lo" It's directed to people who are frugal by the extravagants, reminding them that people who spent yesterday are dead. There is nothing wrong with that phrase. In my infantile knowledge, it means we should find time to at least give ourselves some treats as we are making money. Some are just making money without paying attention to eating healthy. It is not just about making money but enjoying the money too; that doesn't mean we should be wasteful. |
