Webmasters / Re: 7 Ways To Improve Your Blogs Success by IamShiningStar(f): 12:58pm On Oct 09, 2017
sainttobs:
All bloggers have one thing in common: they want their blog to succeed. For most bloggers, success means converting loyal followers.
No matter when or why you started your blog, a few tweaks here and there to your blog and your attitude can change things for the better. Check out our list of seven tips to help you succeed as a blogger.

1. Find a Niche
This little bit of advice has been bouncing around the Internet since the dawn of the first successful blog. Still, a lot of newbie bloggers don’t take this advice to heart, partially because a lot of new bloggers aren’t sure what to blog about and partially because others don’t know what a niche is. Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered.
Niche is defined as, “a specialized but profitable corner of the market.”
What we really mean when we say “find your niche” is to narrow your blog’s focus. Talking about anything and everything that comes to mind is great if you’re writing for yourself, but readers may find that chaotic and difficult to follow. What readers really want is a collection of related and helpful articles on the same topic to help solve a problem or question.
Examples of niches include:

Parenting
Technology
Finance
Beauty
DIY Home Décor
Fitness
Web Design
Entertainment

While it’s true that there are blogs on practically every niche, the key to really being successful and hitting your target audience is to narrow your topic even further. Find a hole in the market and focus on that. This will reduce your competition while making you a go-to expert in your niche.
For example, Blogging Basics 101 started because there were tons of sites with blogging advice for intermediate and advanced bloggers, but there wasn’t a lot of good advice for novice bloggers.
Another example would be if you wanted to start a travel blog. Instead of focusing on travel in general, you might narrow your focus to a single country or city. That way, you become the number one go-to blog for people looking to visit that area.

2. Don’t Be Afraid to Self-Promote
Promoting your own project on social media or within your group of friends is intimidating for a lot of people. You don’t want to sound like you are bragging, and you definitely don’t want to come across looking like spam.
If you want to succeed, however, you have to get the word out there, and who better to do that than you? It’s all part of the marketing process, and bloggers have to learn how to use social media and blog commenting functions to market themselves.
Sometimes tooting your own horn isn’t all that bad. The key is to find a balance between self-promotion and humility. Many bloggers and social media enthusiasts suggest using 80 percent of your social comments and shares to promote other people’s works and 20 percent of it promoting your own products and services.
Blog, Internet, Space, Universe, Globe
3. Build on What Works
Experimenting is all a part of the process, so don’t be afraid to try something new. Start a new weekly blogging series, try placing ads, or start guest posting.
Use your website statistics and commenting functions to see how readers react to these new ideas. If you’re not seeing any indication of a reaction in your stats, poll your readers to see what they think.
Testing one thing here or there isn’t likely to hurt your blogging practice. Some of these experiments can lead to a huge increase in traffic. The good news is that you can always ditch the ones that don’t work.

4. Perform an “Above the Fold” Test
Above the fold includes the content you see when you first view your blog. It’s anything that you see without scrolling.
Since you only have a few seconds to make a good first impression and help readers find what they’re looking for, you want the most important information above the fold. For instance, people should be able to tell who you are and what you do without scrolling. If it’s not evident in your blogs title, it’s worth adding a tagline. If you want to draw attention to your call-to-action, that should appear above the fold as well.
Also Read: Why A good Webhost Provider Is Important To Your Blog/Website Success
5. Make Your Blog Sticky
Sticky is a term that means you’re encouraging people to return to or stay on your blog. For example, you might link to a relevant article from your blog’s archives. You can do this within the content, or you can list additional resources at the end of each blog post. The idea is that these links point to your own content and offer readers more in-depth information on the topic or a related subject.
As you do this, people are more likely to stick around and subscribe to your blog. You can also make your blog sticky by inviting readers to subscribe to your blog or by making your RSS feed available with the click of a button.
6. Look for Ways to Extend Your Blog
To get people to stick around and keep coming back, it’s worth extending your reach outside of simple blog posts. This helps you reach more people who enjoy other forms of content and contact, and it keeps your blog from getting boring.
Examples of ways to extend your reach include:

Hanging around industry forums or social media
Sending out newsletters
Starting a podcast series
Releasing videos

7. Create Quality Content
People have been saying it for years, and the saying still holds true. Content is king.
Without well-written and engaging content, your blog isn’t going to go anywhere. Yes, your blog design and your marketing tactics are important, but they’re practically useless if you don’t have quality content. People may come because of the marketing, but they’ll stay when you deliver content they need.
Pro tip: Creating content users “need” can encompass anything from teaching them something to providing entertainment. While blogging about yourself can have its benefits, you should always be focusing on solving the readers’ problems first (whether they want a good laugh or are looking for advice). Satisfying their needs is what will drive readers to subscribe to your blog.
Have you seen success with other techniques? Let us know what you’ve done with your blog that your readers love.

I lost a senior colleague two weeks ago as a result of job-related stress. She's a workaholic (Not that she has an option though) cry

I too nearly died of Stress early last year upon my resumption to work after my programme abroad.
Here is how I started dealing with it:

You’re putting on weight: I noticed this and commenced after work exercise. Registered with the gym house (on the positive side I build my muscles. Poorly formed six packs tongue with well defined abbs) grin

Your joints ache: My gyming took care of this. I also obtain massages once a week

You’re always tired: Has reduced considerably, but that doeant negate sleeping off on the centre rug with either my work clothes on or my sport wear once in a while grin

You have headaches: Sure, but that was then. Now it is minimal. I realized that my exercise makes me drink more water and I heard water is an antidote to headache.

Warnning: My Dr. said Stress is a silent killer. Kill it today before it kills you. Work hard, exercise harder and eat healthy.
good one.

Opinionated:
We all deal with stress from time to time. And in many ways, a little stress can be healthy. But when stress is prolonged or chronic, meaning it sticks around for weeks, months, or even years, it can lead to negative changes to your immune system and other biological functions of your body. In line with this, Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, shares some of the ways stress can make you sick.

Your teeth are fractured or damaged

Psychological stress really can cause you to grind your teeth—both during the day and at night while you sleep. Teeth grinding can lead to tooth fractures, cavities, and other dental issues, so it’s definitely a habit you’ll want to break.

You’re putting on weight

Long-term stress can cause you to add weight. This is because stress promotes cravings for high-calorie food. Of course, you know high-calorie foods can lead to weight increase.

Your joints ache

Stress promotes low-grade inflammation, it can heighten symptoms of joints ache in different parts of your body.

You’re always tired

The links between stress and poor sleep are well-established. But even if you feel you’re sleeping well, there’s evidence that stress may trigger feelings of fatigue.

You have headaches

Tension-type headaches have long been associated with stress. Stress-triggered headaches aren’t the result of rising heart rates, but instead seemed tied to over-working yourself when stressed out.

Your blood pressure is too high

To help you survive a precarious situation, stress fires up your sympathetic nervous system, which in turn cranks up your blood pressure so that your limbs and muscles are ready for action. None of that is an issue in the short term. But over time, chronically elevated Blood Pressure can overwork your heart, leading to damaged arteries and blockages. Be careful to put stress in check to forestall a rise in BP.

Politics / Re: Jewish Scientists In Anambra To Present DNA Result To Show Igbos Are From Israel by IamShiningStar(f): 11:28pm On Sep 04, 2017
Built2last:
king Solomon was the first Black king Israel had. they have black Isrealites and Israel will never leave their own behind.

besides, the similarities are way to many between Igbos and the Jews.

Mind you, i am yet to be convinced...but the evidences are compelling.

read history below

THE GENEALOGY OF IGBOS:
The Igbos and who they are. (read and forward).
If you don't know where you are coming from definitely you will never no where you are going to, we must know our root and who we are.
I am here to give you another EDUCATIVE and INFORMATIVE masterpiece.
If you are Igbo then this write-up will help you know more about yourself and where you are coming from, but if you are not Igbo, now you have the opportunity to learn more about the Igbos and why they exhibit some of their characters.
It is a very powerful masterpiece and it took me time to gather them together.
First of all, I will want you to bring out your BIBLE because 30% percent of whatever I will say are recorded in the Holy book.
Like I said, it took me time to do this research. For those of you who think there is nothing connecting Igbos and Israelites, then I can tell you that you are wrong. Igbos are 100% Jews.
It is simply for educating the young ones and letting them know where they are coming from.
Read on to know where you fall into.
Let's begin according to Genesis 29 vs 30: JACOB had twelve (12) sons namely:
#1. Ruben
#2. Simeon
#3. Levi
#4. Judah
#5. Dan
#6. Naphtali
#7. Gad
#8. Asher
#9. Issachar
#10. Zebulun
#11. Joseph
#12. Benjamin.
The 7th son was GAD.
and according to Genesis 46 vs16. GAD had seven (7) sons namely:
Ziphon
Haggi
Shunni
Ezbon
Eri
Arodi
Areli.
Sometime in Middle East, famine struck and Jacob moved with his family and about 70 other relations to Egypt.
But before then Joseph (which was 11th son of Jacob) had already been sold to Egypt by his brothers, where he was made Governor General under a King Pharaoh.
As time goes on when the Pharaoh that knows Joseph died, they started suffering persecutions from the hand of Egyptians but ERI the 5th son of GAD foresaw the danger, persecution, and wickedness coming and he decided to leave in time with his two younger brothers, ARODI & ARELI with one of his half brothers.
They travelled through Ethiopia, Sudan and down towards West Africa through river nile and landed at a place known as AGULERI today through Omambala river in Anambra state, around 1305 BC.
(I) ERI established and lived close to the Omambala river.
He was wealthy and wise like his great grand father (Abiama) Abraham.
That is why Anambra state has the highest number of rich people in Africa.
ERI; had five (5) sons:
(1) Agulu
(2) Atta
(3) Oba
(4) Hebrew/Ibo
(5) Menri
(1) AGULU; as the first son stayed back and established in the place known as Agulu-ERI (Agulu son of ERI) in Anambra state.
(2) ATTA; moved to upward North and established a place known as "IGALA Kingdom " and that is why their overall KING is known as "Atta of IGALA" in Kogi state
(3) OBA; left and founded a place known as Oba Kingdom in Anambra state.
(4) HEBREW; which have been changed to mean Hibo or Ibo.
He was very powerful spiritual man and that is why people from this area are always very spiritual.
He left and founded Igbo-Etiti, Igbo-Adagbe, Igbo- Eze (within Nsukka and parts of Anambra).
(5) MENRI left and founded a place known as ""AgukwuNRI". NRI Kingdom.
(II). ARODI moved to a place known as "ARO- CHUKWU". Very industrious and good at arts and crafts.
(e.g: Aba Ngwa people of Aba).
ARODI gave birth to:
(1) Nembe
(2) Ngwa
(3) Abakaliki
(4) Ogoni
(5) Afikpo
(6) Aro-Ikot Ekpene (Akwa Ibom )
(7) Aro- Echie (Rivers state)
(cool Arondizuogu.
During slave trade Aro spread all over the world. America, Cuba, Brazil and "ARO-festival" is always been celebrated in CUBA.
(III). ARELI was a man with a lot of Wisdom. The native tongue of his descendants is today known as "Central Igbo". And people from this Area have the highest number of graduates and professors in Igbo land.
ARELI gave birth to:
(1) Owerri
(2) Umuahia
(3) Diobu (River state)
(4) Okigwe
(5) Orlu
(6) Nkwerre
(7) Elele (Mba Ise)
(9) Mba Ano, etc...
ERI half brothers moved and founded IJAW nationality and some parts of Edo State and many other parts of Niger Delta.
EVIDENCES and SIMILARITIES:
Now to verify some of the things I have said above.
(1) If you get to Aguleri there is a particular house known as OBI GAD (house of GAD).
Remember GAD was the 7th son of Jacob (Gen 29:30) and GAD had five (5) sons of which the last three (3) who were ERI, ARODI and ARELI and some of their half brothers left Egypt to West Africa).
The OBI GAD was the resting or relaxing place for ERI and his brothers and they named it OBI GAD in order to honour their father (GAD, the 7th son of Israel). This OBI GAD was the first house built in Igboland. This is the reason why every Igbo man always build a place called OBI/OBU in his house in honour of his father and mainly for relaxation and in the olden days, there is always a family shrine or little oracle, and why they worship Oracle then was because they left EGYPT before GOD gave 10 commandments to Moses for the Israelites, of which one of the 10 commandments is against idol worship. (even though modern day Igbos now build OBI as outside BAR without any Shrine, while some Christians don't build OBI anymore because of their beliefs). It can also be Called ERI TEMPLE.
The Obi GAD also serve as a Consulting place for some royal fathers from other community that have Direct root to ERI.
ANOTHER EVIDENCE.
(2) At the Burial place of ERI, there is a TRINITY TREE standing on the grave site.
These are three Trees but are strongly United and connected by Single Tap Root.
(3) "ADA" means first Daughter in Israel (Gen 4 vs 19- 20) and it means the same thing in Igbo language.
(4) Before an Igbo man makes a contribution in a public gathering, he will shout "Igbo kwenu " and the people will respond "Yah" and "Yah" is short form of " Yahweh.
Yahweh is the name of Jewish GOD.
(5) STAR OF DAVID AND some bronze medals Encrypted with Hebrew Codes were found in many part of the Igbo land.
(6) Israelis (Jews) manufactures 80% the world weapons and 70% of USA weapons.
Just like Igbos manufactured 80% of all the weapons used during Biafran. Which no other African nation has done.
Igbos were only defeated during the war due to Hunger policy.
By now, we would have manufacturing war weapons for Africans, and no country will have to go outside Africa to purchase weapons to fight Insurgency, if not for the bad policy of Nigeria.
Igbos are the most highly technologically inclined people in the whole of Africa.
You will also notice that Igbos always handle the post of science and technology and industry in most Nigeria ministerial post.
The first West African billionaire is from Nnewi: Chief Sir Louis Ojukwu.
The black Indigenous Vehicle Manufacturers eg:
INNOSON MOTORS AND
COSHARIS MOTORS,
Indigenous MOBILE PHONE AND COMPUTER MANUFACTURERS eg:
(A) SLOK MOBILE (Orji Uzo kalu)..
(B) ZINOX COMPUTERS (Leo Stan Ekeh).
(C) SLOT MOBILE (NNAMDI EZEIGBO)
(D) Father of internet and founder of the fastest computer in the world (PHILIP EMEAGWALI) etc.
(7) We carry home our dead ones just like the Israelites (Gen 49 vs 29-50). (Just like the Israelites, we were led or ruled by Elders and Priest.
There was no King in Israel until Samuel appointed Saul as the King of Israel and that was why Israelites were led by Prophet Moses and so many other Prophets.
CONCLUSION: Isreali Ambassador (Noah Katz) Confirmed that Igbos are Jews. (Check Daily Sun Newspapers 28th March 2004).
Therefore, Igbo are the Engine Block and Japan of Africa , no wonder an Author with international reputation, "Emefiena Ezennia" said that "In Biafra Africa Died". We are good people, we love our neighbours, we accommodate anybody. We can live everywhere and develop anywhere. It is in our blood to develop.
We need Igbos to develop Nigeria, Africa and even the world as a whole, we are God's people, a chosen generation!
Nigeria should stop the marginalization of the Igbos and the Biafrans or let them have their freedom.
For the Igbos we should know who we are, dream and think bigger, for you are the son of the most high God, the God of Abraham (Abiama) believe in yourself and work harder as it is in your blood, every parents should Igbo endeavour to teach their children Igbo language and culture all the time!
Engr. Nwaiwu Chiji.

Nwebele:
Chaii!! That is why we are where we are today. Some few people enjoying what should serve hundreds of millions and we are expected to work hard and keep 'surviving'.

That Mr. Eloquent who just shut everyone up with his intelligence should better come back here. He needs to tell us his background. His arguement can only be fair if he was just an ordinary nigerian who worked his way up from a very very humble background. But I doubt because he does not sound so. He does not have a good understanding of how the system plays in Nigeria. All the people he mentioned were raised with money gotten from Nigerian 'national cake'. Since he read so well, let him come back and give us the biography of these men he stated.

Nigerians! Nigerians! Suffering and smiling . Yet one person who was schooled from 'our money' will speak some grammer and quote some selected facts and everyone is silenced and nodding their heads. Why do we easily get brainwashed.

He should rather teach us how to be established. How much to pay for fuel to keep constant light as a graphic artist, as a professional photographer, as an IT expert etc. What about water? What about good road network for mobility? Its a pity he didnt touch those areas as the achievement of his dear Nigeria.

As a fresh graduate and a graphic Artist or Printer in a layman' language being my major skill, with no savings, where do I start from? Note that I dont have any tangible asset to use as collateral.

As an importer with limited cash, how do I survive after the custom and import charges. Note that there are made men in this country who have huge waivers from this charges. How do you fit into the market when the same product is sold at half your price (after import charges) by these made men? Do you know how many people have goods in some warehouses that they couldnt sell and suddenly the goods got out of fashion or out of demand. I guess you never gone through that path.

Do you know how many people are inone trouble or the other today just because they borrowed money from bank and business went bad. Have you identified the causes of bankcruptcy in Nigeria today?

Mr Eloquent, I am tempted to say you have spoken for a particular class of people. I doubt you are or have ever been an average Nigerian who worked his way to the top. I am tempted to believe you are one of those or a product of those who put Nigeria in the current situation. You do not feel the pain and frustration of an average Nigerian. You only want to placate your conscience by these bogus 'excuses' you have made. A lot of people in poorer african countries are content with their country not because they have too much but because they are being provided with the basic needs. Imagine poor Benin Republic, Togo, Burkina Fasso, Tanzania etc You would hardly find them hustling like Nigerians to live in US or UK. Why? Some of them have never heard anything like Electricity failure, lack of good water, etc. Secondly, those big names you mentioned that made it in Nigeria, send off their children toschool in the same US and UK you so discourage others from. Can you tell us why?
You sure deserve a big hug for this post.
Couldn't have said it better.
