If you are struggling with this idea, you can use a time journal to take a measurement and make adjustments. You can Start by jotting down everything you do from the time you wake up until when you go to bed. Make this a daily routine for three or four days, and be completely honest with yourself.

That means writing down that you spent 20 minutes of your time on bed looking at social media on your mobile device, that you spent an hour on the phone with someone else's issues, and that you spent just over two hours chatting. Maybe you also spent forty-five minutes on your most important issues.

RAISE YOUR STANDARD
By taking a look at what you really do and how little of it is related to what you want to accomplish. You create the awareness that always bring about a positive change. That positive change expects you to raise your standard, that you make a decision and act on the idea that you are going to prioritize the most important things instead of what makes you busy.

If the things you are doing is not moving you closer to your aims, then stop doing them and do something totally different. It makes no sense to be so busy and you are not productive.

Back to the topic, during JAMB registration, you will be asked to choose four institutions which comprises of "First choice" , "Second choice" , "Third choice" and "Fourth choice". Let me educate your on what to do;


First choice university - You are advised to choose a federal University if you are not a type that is financially buoyant. You can pick schools like OAU, UI, UNILAG and other federal Universities in Nigeria.

Second choice university - In this part, you are advised to choose either a state owned university or a polytechnics. In this part, you MUST not choose any federal universities especially UI, OAU, UNN, UNILAG and others, because no matter what you score, you wont be allowed to write the POST UME exam. You can pick schools like EKSU, OOU, DELSU and for polytechnic; YABATECH, Ibadan Poly, Ilaro Poly and others.



Third choice University - The option of schools in this category is not much, but you can just pick the one that best suit your taste based on location and tuition fee.

Fourth choice University - In this category, you wont see any university here, you will see Vocational institutes like PEFTI institutes, Computer Programming institutes and others.

Now i am sure you already have idea about what choosing a university or institute in the four categories look like. The question you should now ask yourself is which school is the best for me? Which school will be easier for me to get admitted based on the look of things? Which school will have adequate facilities for my course of study?


All those questions will be answered in this post, just read carefully. Below are the things you should consider when choosing a university ;

ADMISSION PROCESS OF THE SCHOOL

Every schools have their method of processing admission. Some use the screening point calculated from your JAMB score and o'level result, some use POST UME and JAMB score to calculate your screening point, while some use only your POST UME score, so whatever way, you should be able to know the one which suit you well.

COMPETITIVE

Generally, all top federal universities are competitive ranging from 30,000 to over 40,000 aspirants choosing a particular school competing for minimum slot ( survival of the fittest).


SCHOOL CALENDAR

This should not be new to any aspirants that Nigerian universities don't have a uniform resumption date (their resume dates are different). Most times, some schools are ahead of another schools with one semester or less. You won't like to be at home while your friends in other schools are almost done with first semester.


CONDUCIVE

Not all universities in Nigeria are conducive for learning, instead they are like burden to the students. Make sure you make some findings on the school facilities like their hostel, lecture room, equipment and others.

I intentionally save this for the last because students are fond of choosing a school very far from their home, someone living in lagos is studying in abia state which is ought not to be. When choosing a school, consider your safety when traveling to such destinations.

Stick to what you know. I am in corporate employment after practising for a number of years, I can actually retire today and live an affluent life. Let me take you further, some of my classmates head legal services of first tier banks in this country as DGMs and GMs. Ask around for what figures in those cadres walk home with from banks. Finally, law is the profession that enables you work in virtually all spheres... An administrator, HR personnel, Management consultant, legal advisory, company secretary, banking operations, legal practise, tax practise, the horizon is endless. In my next life, I will still be a lawyer. As a teaser, I flew out to London on Tuesday to review agreements on behalf of my company with other foreign colleagues. I came back on Friday. All expenses paid. Again stick to what you know

It is better for one to attend vocational training institutions where one can learn those skills than going to waste years in the university studying a course that can't train them for a career.
Industrialized nations of the world such as China and the rest didn't have to train ALL their workforce up to the university level. In fact , many of their artisans have just the basic education.

The numerous courses you took in pharmacy school and the fact that the standard of study in pharmacy is top notch compared to some other courses is an advantage you had. You check it nau, you finished pharmacy where you got relatively better training and exposure, did internship in a hospital where you earned perhaps a 6 digits salary for one year, did youth's service where you also earned better than your peers in other courses. Then you finished and readily got lecturing job, the only problem here being your greed to make it big and fast, but you had everything to launch you into where you are now bro, be grateful! Many graduates come home from service with no dime to start life with and no prospect of getting a job. That's the point of the thread!

You wouldn't understand from afar. Do you know up to 50 pharmacists? I have over a 1000 of them as friends. We just concluded the PSN 91st Annual Conference in Ibadan last month where more than 5000 pharmacists gathered to discuss their challenges and the way forward. I own a community premise too (partnership) so automatically am a member of ACPN. All licensed pharmacists belong to at least one technical group/association. All the agencies (where pharmacists are licensed) were there to make presentations about their challenges, d details of which I can't put down here. Like I said hospitals and other public institutions are for the average kind of people.
I don't believe in average and I don't encourage anyone under me to.. I push my interns to the extreme (professionally). They think I am wicked but when they look back afterwards, they appreciate me for helping them become better persons!
If after 12 years of graduation, you are still sitting at home idle then something is wrong with such a person, perhaps he/she is a mediocre. I was lecturing, doing masters and also volunteering with an NGO....I met a guy during NYSC, he read anatomy but was good in maths ..2 yrs after service he was still looking for job...I encouraged him to go into 'statistical analysis'...he was complaining and giving excuses ...I pushed him more and more and he picked it up, he bought books and read, learnt some apps...he started with analysis of just one project and today he is an employer of 2 graduates in his company.
I don't encourage undergraduates (regardless of any course) to have these casual thoughts that they are going to school to come out and have a job....what if the job doesn't come? Can I volunteer? Can I learn a skill? Do I have any talent I can develop? Can I do a business? I taught my wife graphic design myself, she has also learnt video editing, movie make up/prosthesis, and catering services...She never wanted to but I persuaded her, she wanted a bank job that wasn't forthcoming. She is doing very very well today. I have also paid and learnt event planning and interior decor myself. So whenever i am less busy I help her and her staff out. For me learning never stops, education opens your mind to think innovatively! Wherever I live, I make it a point of duty to "push" as many interested unemployed youth as possible into a profitable venture beyond sitting and waiting for a govt job. No course is bad and no one deserves to remain unemployed!

Unease pervades the atmosphere at Imo state Judiciary as Justice Chukwujieze Ogu of the Ubulu Magistrate's Court in Oru West LGA of the state was reportedly killed after been abducted by some unknown persons on Thursday 29th November, 2018.

Justice Ogu until his gruesome death distinguished himself as lawyer par excellence and is known for his impartial judgments.
Justice Chukwujieze Ogu is the first son of the renowned lawyer: Barrister Remy C. Ogu.

He hails from Umuakunne, Ezimba Ihitte-Uboma of Imo state and studied law at Imo state University Owerri.
