ewa2014: Glory be to God!!! My Father and my Redeemer...
This journey started Jan 2017 when I wrote IELTS and got (9,8.5,7.5,7) in LSRW in one sitting and I was like wow by June 2017 I’ll be in Canada (LOL). COPR- 15th March 2018 Left Nigeria - 20th March 2018 Arrived Alberta- 21st March 2018
coolangel54: Just a quick question: I have been practicing the IELTS but my major challenge in reading is the Paragraph Heading Matching, #crying#, I end up messing big time. The highest I have got so far from practicing is 7 but I am not encouraged at all because I need 8 upwards. To my question: I have one hour to write this part of the exam, is it possible for me to start from any part and maybe later move to the most difficult part of it? I just thought of this strategy and I need help from senior colleagues.
Please pardon me for responding quite late. I've been so busy.
Basically, I used the IELTS official study guide, Book 11 & 12, E2language, IELTSLiz, Oxford Online English .
I employed the strategies of E2language (Jay) in speaking and writing. They're very effective, I got 7 in writing even without concluding my essay because of a costly mistake that made me to write part 1 twice. While I used IELTSLiz & E2Language for listening. Absolute concentration and scanning of questions before the audio is played is very helpful. Likewise, I used E2, IELTSLiz and Oxford Online English, especially matching and TFNG for Reading https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csI64Rm3Hh0
You can get all these videos on YouTube.
In terms of practice, I used these sites/materials
General practice - exam week Cambridge Book 11 & 12 Official Cambridge Guide questions Road to IELTS - practice questions IELTS practice questions from https://www.ielts.org
You should be fine if you understand the IELTS tricks.
As per MOD, they're as good as BC if not better because of their excellent customer service.
segzy14: Please can you share tips and relevant links/website you used to make it a success.
That's good. Do remember to contact ACCA to send your official transcript to WES.
Best of luck in your final papers.
Inception12: I've already got the certificate and sent it WES via hellofax. It's as simple as getting it from myacca so no trouble there.
The pass rates for all 3 papers(4,5 and 7) are roughly the same. It took me time and after lenghty consultations, i settled on those 2. It will end in praise am sure.
Well, I'm not sure of the Advanced Diploma Evaluation because when I did my ECA with WES I included the Advanced Diploma but they only evaluated my ACCA (Affiliate then) and B.Sc OBU (I wasn't ready to go through Nigerian uni transcript stress) as 2 4-year bachelors degree. Have you done your OBU RAP?
Another thing, please be careful with P4 because it's not friendly at all.
Inception12: Hello people, another quick question. Am currently waiting for my WES evaluation and my predited score is 438. I've seen online that if you've passed ACCA papers F1 to F9, they award you with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business. Am currently planning to sit for my last papers (P4 and P5) in June so i should be qualifiying for this award.
With a BSc only, my score is 438, but if i instead put 2 or more certificates, my score goes to 478. Am wondering if anyone has ever evaluated ACCA with WES for only the diploma part and gotten a good answer from them.
