Refresh the page and start afresh without delaying much on filling your inputs.

Yea thanks. I Did refreshed several times on my system seems it was not helping matters, had to restart the application process passed the referee page but i am now stuck with the final submission after uploading my CV and cover letter. i keep getting error messages. (Note: I use a steady internet connection 'SPECTRANET', hence i don't think it has to do with network issues). Well i will keep trying. thanks.

I have been struggling with the referees page and was able to fill in three referees, but the response i keep getting is 'Error! please check your entries and ensure that the attached documents are in the specified format' since yesterday evening. Hence i could not proceed beyond that page. Please any suggestions/tips to help me move beyond the referee page will be appreciated. Thanks.

@Sagamite, nice tips you have given up there. Please i want to ask about securing admission to an ivy league school either in UK or US, is it possible for me to use My ACCA 'Oxford brookes' Bsc in applied accounting (will be rounding up middle of next year with a 1st class honours) from UK rather than my naija uni result to apply most especially to US ivy leagues?
Politics / David Mark Missing In Action Since The Saraki/pdp Senate Presidency Coup Saga by iamwrong(m): 11:28pm On Oct 30, 2015
David Mark who was formerly the senate president in the last administration and known for his leadership skills and tactics in ensuring the house stood as one and business moved smoothly as usual, seems to be missing in action in the 8th senate.
Naturally one expects that the former senate president should be the leader of the PDP members in the house or a more qualified member who is also a returning senator like himself to put the ruling APC in check and ensure the opposition voice in the house is also heard.
But what they(PDP) have is Senator Godswill Akpabio who seems to be creating unnecessary dramas, politicking and controversies in the house especially given the fact that he and most of his colleagues are first time senators making them seem/look like ‘kindergarten members’ in terms of conducts and deeds in the hallowed chamber.
For David Mark, he seems to have crawled back into his cave in the chambers taking on the role of a spectator rather than an actor with indifference, occasional chatting with floor mates and aloofness. Recently PDP members staged a work out in protest against Amaechi confirmation as minister of the federal republic of Nigeria along with other ministerial nominees awaiting confirmation, he (Mark) was missing and not seen in action among the protesting party members led by Akpabio.
What this means is that David mark ‘may’ seem to be bidding his time in the house as events unfold waiting for the right time to strike or be at the forefront leading the pack or either he sees himself better off on his lane than to be led by ‘kindergarten leaders’ as he himself is fit to be accorded ‘Grandpa status’ for one who has seen it all. Lol.
These are just my opinions. Nairalanders what do you think?
Romance / Re: He Deletes My Text Messages On His Phone by iamwrong(m): 10:22am On Oct 09, 2015
Teyonie:
I was surprised and sad when I checked his phone and realised that he doesn't keep my text messages even the ones he sends to me but he kept one other one from another lady, what could this mean please? I'm anticipating your opinions o cos I don't want to react wrongly. Thanks.

hmm! I know of some guys, who act like they are single and not 'searching/or searching' and many of our female friends would woop on their phones sms/social media chat, pictures etc codely when opportuned to get a glimpse of what they re up to with the female sex but alas no clue. This is deliberately done to keep their relationships hidden, private and personal away from nosey pals and family, especially when they re serious and neck deep into the relationship, yet when u ask them their relationship status they tell u they re single with no girl in sight 'happily'. Suddenly after some months you hear they re engaged/in a relationship with a girl for like over 1year or more ago.

OP, you should check out his background, the kinds of friends he hangs out with, frequency of his social activities(clubbing, going to bar, parties, etc) and his relations with opposite sex. I believe you would get clues on his action.

Besides i cant say if he's up to something fishy. But i suggest you let him give you the benefit of the doubt by going about your business especially if you are damn serious with marriage in sight.

Family / Re: When Your Nanny/househelp Suddenly Becomes An Ally To The Neighbours! by iamwrong(m): 4:04pm On Sep 20, 2015
OP has every reason reason to be afraid of that nanny, especially the part where she mingles with other families in your vicinity thereby giving room to third parties to have information relating to family which ordinarily they couldn't get considering the fact that shes a woman as well as the risk of getting the kids exposed to what they not supposed to be exposed to at their age.

lol i have been there, grew up part of my life with a nanny. and i tell you what? except the nanny is a pleasant woman especially if the kids happens to love her are happy when she shows up, if its the other way round then you are damaging the emotional build up and chemistry with your kids as well as exposing them to risks your kids can never tell you about and they grow up with a certain mindset that u may not understand. In fairness its not easy combining career with keeping the home. But truth be told for your kids to turn out well you need to be there for them most times especially at the childhood stage, before they enter the teens stage where most parents experience challenges with teens some caused by foundations from childhood.

Your kids needs you more than the nanny herself. 7am-7pm? Haba! Well you should look for a creche that renders a similar service or let them school close to your place of work where you can keep an eye on them.
Family / Re: Lessons From My Marriage by iamwrong(m): 2:52pm On Sep 20, 2015
Aitee1:
Hmmmmmmmm...timely piece!

Experience they say is the best teacher, guess it time to reason someone's matter! lipsrsealed

No ma'aam Observation is the best teacher. from the Op writeup, before she got married to him there are three red flags (i am sure there are other traits she noticed before they got married) that should have told her the kinda marriage she was getting herself into.

1. He was a hustler and low income earner: That should should have given you clues on his efforts and current plans on how he intends to improve his situation/lot as at then and in the long run. Examples could be going for further studies, adding a new skill/professional qualifications/courses, entrepreneurial drive etc etc. Besides by observation/instincts you would know if he was hardworking, ambitious or just content with his fate as this affects your marriage/kids/family in the long run.

2. He never gave a dime: whereas you where doing the giving/spending: Here that's another red flag especially when it bothers on marriage, there you would have known his sense of responsibilities to an extent. And from what the Op wrote, seems to me she was the man in the relationship before they got married.

3. Feeding Him 3 times daily: And i am sure so many questions where running through your head full of doubts concerning the hubby to be during the courting period. If he cant feed himself that alone should tell you how he's gonna feed and care for you and the kids etc when married.

Here through Observations, she could have sat down and meditated, learnt some lessons, consult with married folks and elders (as they will guide/advise you, tell you their own observations etc. based on the information you supplied concerning your partner to be) that will to lead good and informed decisions/actions as well as saving you a lifetime of internal sorrow, poverty, scars etc that have multiplier effects, except shes ready to face the consequences by ignoring these observations. Whereas Experience can make or mar you depending on the choices you make.

Family / Re: Please Help!!! My Aunt Is Becoming A Prostitute In Her Husband House by iamwrong(m): 3:15pm On Sep 19, 2015
Report to her hubby and a reverred family elder, afterwards pack out immediately from the house for your own good. Besides by reporting your aunt you never can tell the favour you re doing to her as this may put an end to her immoral ways, but whatever the outcome that will tell you how hardened or repentant she may be.

P.S:Another Statistics here. Abuja Residents are damn promiscuous and sexually adventurous! Kilode! Right from my street to the whole city you hear unbelievable tales of/or meet married men and women in immoral relations weekly or daily. Their statistics is alarming compared to the immoral relations of the Single folks. embarassed

Experienced similiar situation too not just nairaland but from other job portals where we advertised available vacancies for individuals and private coys. Chief among them are wrong CV construction, no cover letter, alot of spelling and sentence errors here and there you begin to wonder if they are serious or experimenting on something, Some even went as far as telling alot of lies on their CVs and when you meet them in person you would be shocked to see alot of contrasts and especially the oldies among them who lie alot about their age.

Those that claimed he was dead are the ones that actually wants him dead......
I am sick and tired at the rate at which Nigerian Journalism is going the way of sensationalism and hasty news reporting without actually verifying the actual news reported. I seem to see them in the same league with our amatuer bloggers.

Good news reporting from Sahara Reporters. God bless Nigeria.

Career / Re: Banking Career + Masters Pursuit In Abuja, How Tenable? by iamwrong(m): 3:01pm On Jun 22, 2015
It's very possible. Besides I rather you go to Nassarawa university or ABU zaria that's close by to abuja to do your masters than to go to uni abuja. Noun even have better pedigree than uni abuja.

Check out the university in kwara and benue they are quite affordable and close by to abuja.

I would have also preferred you go to U.I, O.A.U ife and Nsukka they are also affordable with good prospects for the labour market (besides if you can afford the means for air travel, it makes ur movement and programme quite easy as well as saving you time)

Cheers! !
